“That’s not scheming, that’s wisdom. My wisdom is useless in front of you! I feel like a fool around you,” Lan Xuanyu said in mock grievance.

“You two, that’s enough! Public displays of affection on the street—is that really appropriate? And on someone else’s turf?” Lan Mengqin rolled her eyes.

Lan Xuanyu said, “You two can do the same. We don’t mind.”

“So, where are we going now? Back?” Bai Xiuxiu asked.
