Chapter 899: Even you can be surprised

They booked a small isolated courtyard with a garden and a few room around it within the inn, but as they approached it, Wu Long suddenly stopped.

“What’s wrong?”, Gong Liwei asked, while both Wu Long and Nie Xiwang looked in the direction of the moon gate leading to the courtyard, both looking extremely surprised.

“Hahahaha”, and then a familiar laughter resounded as if in response from within the courtyard, as now Gong Liwei also understood the situation.

Yuanfen just smiled as she went into the courtyard, followed by the three.

And as they entered the courtyard an ethereal mist started flowing around them, “Even you can be surprised, hehehe, this is certainly fun to watch~”

“Baihu…”, Wu Long was shocked to feel Fen Baihu’s presence where she couldn’t possibly be before, but also knew it was really her, which was why he allowed Yuanfen to freely go, “How are you… ?”

Though it works differently as part of our bond of not only bloodlines, but the Dual Extremes Infinite Union Art”, Fen Baihu nodded, adding, “I discovered it as I was tracing Lady Yuanfen’s presence, and just a few minutes ago, finally succeeded”

Yuanfen giggled, and then ran up to the still shocked Wu Long, uttering the only words she seemed to be able to say, “Wu Long”

He looked into those eyes filled with goodwill and seemingly boundless affection, but now there was something else in there as well. Not to mention, the intonation as she called his name this time was a bit different, as if asking a question in an expectant manner.

Wu Long chuckled, realizing what that gaze was urging him to do and softly placed his palm on top of her head, patting it as as smile full of joy appeared on her face.

“Thank you, Yuanfen”, he spoke with genuine gratitude, in a soft voice as she giggled, seemingly completely satisfied, and then stepped, disappearing into thin air, her giggle lingering even a bit after she disappeared.

“Ah… she’s back with Sister Cui again now”, Fen Baihu made a slightly surprised face, and then chuckled.

“Really… talk about a mystery”, Wu Long shook his head with a wry smile, feeling like he was now in place of Nie Xiwang from a little before when he talked about Medicine God.

“Ah… that trio of your subordinates have finished the task you gave them… want me to send them over?”

“You can?”, Wu Long asked, not sure since she wasn’t truly here, it was part of her which manifested through his own Nightmare Fox mist, using his abilities to sustain her presence here.

“Mm… I am not sure completely… but I can try”, she nodded.

Meanwhile, Wu Long turned to the two beauties he arrived here with.

“I guess you could have spent this journey more comfortably then”, Wu Long chuckled, as it seemed that Gong Liwei and Nie Xiwang could have leisurely spent the time on the Soft Meadow Continent, and then be sent here by Fen Baihu.

But the two beauties surprisingly shook their heads, as this journey allowed them to have a talk that might have not happened otherwise.

“I am glad we took this journey”, Gong Liwei spoke.

“Me too”, Nie Xiwang nodded as well.

“Hm? I see…”, Wu Long noticed there was some kind of meaning behind that, but decided to postpone asking further as the mist became thicker in one part of the courtyard, and three shadows gradually appeared from within.

“Boss… this is really some kind of occult stuff…”, Kwon Qianhong spoke with wide eyes, seeing Wu Long.

“Who knows, it might be Baihu’s dream realm instead”, Wu Long chuckled.

“Ah! True!”, Kwon Qianhong grabbed his head with both hands, “Damn, I can’t trust reality anymore…”

“Hahaha, relax, you’ve really crossed over to my location. Although I must note that it is as surreal even for me, as it is for you”, Wu Long lightly laughed.

Kwon Qianhong’s gaze turned a bit suspicious for a moment.

Old Yen and Nie Guanting chuckled, standing to his sides.

As Wu Long said that, Old Yen, Nie Guanting and Kwon Qianhong all had a fire lit in their eyes. Though Wu Long spoke simply stating his thoughts, it sounded very much like they were making his life much easier, showing how valuable their work was.

For them, his reliance on their work was the best kind of recognition they could receive.

“Leave it to us, Boss!”, Old Yen spoke, making a fist and hand salute, Nie Guanting and Kwon Qianhong following him as they suddenly became incredibly motivated.

“Mm”, Wu Long nodded, though he didn’t expect such a strong reaction.

The three swiftly left the courtyard to start groundwork for Wu Long, giving him some free time.

“Hahaha, alright then, I will come bother you later… I won’t be getting in the way”, Fen Baihu smiled mysteriously, looking at Gong Liwei whose cheeks rosied as she looked down.

Wu Long raised his eyebrow, but didn’t ask seeing Gong Liwei’s reaction, nodding to Fen Baihu and thanking her for bringing the three here. The Celestial Fox then received her kiss and melted into mist which quickly dissipated.

He then turned to Gong Liwei with a smile.

“Ah… um… we… I mean me and Sister Xiwang were talking… about our preferences…”, she started.

‘Oh? Now that’s an unforeseen bonus…’, Wu Long inwardly chuckled, now having his vague guesses confirmed. He did hope they could have bonded over their mutual adoration for Gong Cui, easing the ‘invisible wall’ that existed between them before, which he saw was successful. But he didn’t really expect for them to break ice so fast to reach such discussions, and even make this much progress.

“And I was thinking… could we… maybe… together… or could I maybe… watch…”, Gong Liwei spoke with a slightly hazy head, as her thoughts became a bit jumbled from nervousness.

“I have no objections, or rather, I want to”, Nie Xiwang nodded firmly.

“Hahaha, you don’t have to persuade me”, Wu Long lightly laughed, finding both beauties incredibly cute “As long as you both are willing, I am all for it”

His hands then wrapped around the waists of the two beauties, as he continued, “Now, shall we continue this conversation inside?”

And as the two beauties nodded, all three of them went forward to the room.
