"I didnāt mean any harm," the man said again.
"No harm?" Caelusās voice was flat. "Then what do you call pushing a bunch of monsters into our world?"
The man flinched.
"...I agree, that was wrong of me," he said. "But I was desperate."
"I want to forcefully assimilate the world and push it into the Upper Expanse."\
"You can do that?" Caelus asked.
"Yes," the man replied. "If I get ownership over the planet, then itās possible."
"Usually you need to first gather all the updates of a domain, then start a space league to reach the Upper Expanse."
"But I already have the updates, so that step can be skipped."
"And my updates come from the Upper Expanse. That means the Origin Network will push this planet straight up there."
"But why do that in the first place?" Caelus asked, curious.
The man went quiet for a moment.
"Thereās a war going on in the Upper Expanse," he said. "A man named Hao Shu started it."
"He wants to conquer every world."
"The ones that donāt submit to him get their planet wiped of its people. He leaves only the planet king alive, so we suffer alone."
Without a population, thriving in a domain was impossible.
There was a limit to how much one person could do alone.
"Isnāt that what the NPCs are for?" Caelus asked.
At the same time, he had to admit it. This man was terrifying. Killing off billions just because they wouldnāt agree with him?
"He killed them too." The man smiled bitterly. "Thatās why I attacked. So I could show my strength and take my power back directly."
Caelus shook his head. "Iām afraid it wonāt be that easy."
"We have Crown IIIās in our world."
"What?" The man was taken aback. "How can a Middle Expanse have a Crown III this fast?"
"Our world is full of people with hacks." Caelusās lips twitched as he turned to Seraphin Lin, who gave him a slightly confused look.
"But if you want to assimilate the world, I believe youāll have to get through the Crown IIIās first."
"Yes, I think so," the man said. "I believe I can negotiate with them."
"Nah." Caelus denied it at once. "You canāt do that."
"The main guy who runs the planet is my enemy, and I canāt let you jump straight into my enemyās arms." Caelus was all smiles. "Whatās your name?"
"Jason... Why?" Jason had a bad feeling about all this.
Caelus smiled as he took out a soul contract.
This was something he got from defeating the Ancient Mindfolk in the challenge domain at Golden Eagle City. The same place he met Brenda Perez, who now managed his place.
"Please sign this contract." Caelus bit his hand and infused his blood into it as he started the contract.
"If you donāt, Iāll kill you." Caelus looked innocent, but his words were far from it.
"Y-You! You canāt do this to me! Iām desperate and need to get back on my feet as soon as possible!" Jason exclaimed.
"Chill," Caelus said. "Iāll beat up all the Crown IIIās soon. Once thatās done and I become the planet king, itāll be all the more easy for you."
Speaking of which, because of the little show he put on when he arrived at the Central Plains just now, he received 2000 more Kingās Valor Points. That brought him to 3000 now.
It was definitely good for him.
Jason eventually agreed after weighing the pros and cons. He signed the contract.
He was desperate to get back on his feet, but he was also afraid for his life and wanted to live another day.
A light burst from the soul contract as the contract was fully established.
"Can you put this gate away?" Caelus asked. "This is connected to the Upper Expanse, right?"
"Yes, I can," Jason said. "Once the Dungeon Master Simulator profession reaches Crown II, you unlock the Dungeon Transfer Array. It lets you go straight to wherever your dungeons are placed."
"It took a lot of extracted mana, though. Thatās how I appeared here."
"The spot I was sitting on is the teleportation array. I can take you with me to the Upper Expanse."
Caelus nodded. He wasnāt in any rush to reach the Upper Expanse. He had to deal with his own planet first.
"Thereās a reward for clearing the dungeon, right? We reached the core after all."
"Of course." Jason nodded. "My dungeon was full of Crown II monsters, but you all beat them easily. Place your hands on the core and youāll receive a reward."
Caelus and Seraphin did just that.
The dungeon master had no say in what reward you got. It was decided by the Origin Network, so the rewards here were bound to be good.
Caelus placed his hands on the core and received his rewards.
[Ding! Youāve obtained a Random Space Skill Generator Card]
[Ding! Youāve obtained a Level Up Card (???, ???)]
Seeing this, Caelus got excited. "Good haul."
He didnāt expect this. To think a dungeon break would grant him rewards like these.
He turned to Seraphin and asked, "What did you get?"
"I got a level up card and a space generator card."
"Same as me, then." Caelus chuckled.
He used duplication on both of his cards. But only the Random Space Skill Generator Card was copied over.
Seeing this, he asked Seraphin for her Level Up Card and used duplication on it too.
Surprisingly, it hit 1x this time.
āSafe. Now Sylvia will have one too.ā Caelus chuckled.
He would never level up without Sylvia. She was his whole world, and he had promised her they would do things together.
Jason looked at the two of them with envy. He wished he got rewards like that too. But this shitty dungeon was his own, so he couldnāt.
They soon left the dungeon with Jason, forcing the gate to disappear. Now, unless he opened it again himself, it wouldnāt show up.
As soon as Caelus descended, a chill ran down his spine.
The next moment, he heard a sweet yet deadly voice behind him. He turned around to see Sylvia staring at him and Seraphin with a hollow look on her face.
"I let you go off for one second, and you hook up with another girl," Sylvia mumbled darkly under her breath, eyeing her girlfriend standing with a new woman.
Caelusās lips twitched at the sight.
Seraphin Lin tilted her head cutely in confusion. "Youāre scary."
Sylvia immediately stared daggers at Seraphin. Seraphin only got more confused at this.
Caelus quickly stepped in and explained who Seraphin was, calming Sylvia down.
Even after the explanation, Sylvia kept an eye on Seraphin. The girl was dangerous. She had the same powers as her and was beautiful too! She couldnāt let these girls sway her manās heart!
Caelus then turned to Seraphin. "Want to come back to Aria Continent? We can talk more there."
Seraphin had no problem with it.
So they set off at once, with the Holy Church watching.
They couldnāt stop him. They had seen his power, and Sylvia had arrived a few minutes ago with her own Crown II aura.
They couldnāt win even if they wanted to.
All they could do was report this to Mark Twilight, who was still in seclusion.
On the way, Caelus handed the Level Up Card and the Random Space Skill Generator Card over to Sylvia.
Her eyes lit up.
The two of them used the space skill generator together, eager to see what they would get.
A light flashed.
[Ding!]
And then a few lines slowly surfaced in front of their eyes.
