"Ye Tian, are you really going to cause trouble for them? You need to think this through. This is the exit area, and students from the academy are all gathering here one after another. A lot of instructors will probably show up too. You could get into serious trouble," Zhang Xinlan said calmly.
"Zhang Xinlan is right, Boss. I think we should just let it go. It's not worth it for our sake. Besides, we're not seriously hurt. We'll be fine after some time to recover," Qian Xiaohao spoke up.
Everyone looked at Ye Tian, but that wasn't what he was thinking at all. "They hurt my brothers. Do you really think I can just tolerate that? If I were the one injured like this, wouldn't you all demand justice for me as well?
"Say no more. My mind is made up. This isn't over. They need to be taught a lesson. So what if they're from the Intermediate Class? I'd like to see just how great they really are!"
The others knew it was useless to persuade Ye Tian any further. They had some idea of his temper; once he decided on something, there was no turning back. They could only hope that this incident wouldn't escalate too much, or it would be difficult to clean up the mess.
"Ye Tian, since you've made your decision, I won't say any more. No matter what happens, I'll stand with you!" Zhang Xinlan said.
"Us too! If the academy punishes you, we're willing to share the blame!" Ye Feifei said with a very serious expression, inwardly kicking herself for not speaking before Zhang Xinlan and letting her win Ye Tian's favor yet again.
"In that case, let's go! I won't feel right until I teach those arrogant bastards a lesson," Ye Tian said.
So, Zhou Xiang and the other two led the way, with Ye Tian's group of four following close behind. After about fifteen minutes, they stopped.
Zhou Xiang looked at a group of people up ahead and said, "Boss, the guys who bullied us are in that crowd. See that student in the blue clothes? He's their leader."
Ye Tian's gaze was like a lightning bolt, instantly locking onto the student Zhou Xiang had pointed out. "Good. A mere Second Vein Sixth Layer punk dares to bully my brothers. You all stay here. I'll go teach them a lesson by myself."
Zhou Xiang and the others wanted to stop him, but Zhang Xinlan held them back. "Let him go. He'll be miserable if he can't let off this steam. We'll just watch from here. If he's really in danger, we'll go over then."
Ye Tian glanced at Zhang Xinlan and smiled faintly before striding quickly toward the student in blue, arriving in front of him in moments.
When these students saw Ye Tian appear, they found it strange. They assumed he was looking for someone. This group was all from the Intermediate Class and mostly knew each other, so they all watched Ye Tian with puzzled expressions.
But Ye Tian didn't hesitate for a second. He walked right up to the student in blue, raised his hand, and delivered a resounding slap, sending the student spinning several times on the ground before he finally came to a stop.
When he did stop, his face was barely recognizable. His mouth was full of blood, and the swelling had completely changed his features. The most comical part was when the student coughed twice, likely choking on the blood, and spat out two bloody teeth.
It all happened so suddenly that no one had time to react. No one could have imagined that Ye Tian would just attack right away, and so ruthlessly at that. The slapped student seemed to be seeing stars, feeling dizzy and disoriented.
Ye Tian hadn't thought about it much at all. Just looking at this blue-clothed student filled him with rage. He'd hit him first and deal with the consequences later. He didn't need to overthink what would happen next. If they dared to fight back, he wouldn't mind killing a few of them.
At this, all the students there turned to stare at Ye Tian. It was truly surprising to see someone so domineering, and a new face at that.
Ye Tian was currently hiding his Power Level. To others, he appeared to be at the Early Second Vein stage. However, an astute observer might wonder how someone with such a Power Level could have sent that student reeling like that.
Soon, the other students surrounded Ye Tian. The student in blue who had been hit also recovered his senses, though he was a hideous sight. One of his cheeks was more than twice the size of the other, perhaps because the facial muscles had been severely injured.
"Brat, you dare hit me! I don't care who you are, you're dead today!" the blue-clothed student roared. It was a small miracle he could still speak so clearly with his face that swollen.
"I hit you, so what? You want me dead? You don't have the right!" Ye Tian said, rolling his eyes at the student, his face a mask of contempt.
"Brother Lin, wait a moment," said a student next to the one in blue. "There must be a reason this kid came straight for you. There are so many of us here; no matter how strong he is, he's not getting away. Why not ask him first?"
"No need to ask! He dared to lay a hand on me, so he has to die! He hit me in front of all of you! I've lost all my face! Only by killing him can I get my dignity back!" the blue-clothed student raged.
"Enough with the nonsense. You were destined for a beating the moment you decided to bully my brothers. So what if you're an Intermediate student? Does that give you the right to bully students from the Basic Class? If you want to kill me, then make your move!" Ye Tian shouted angrily.
"Brat, so you're from the Basic Class! You actually dared to come looking for trouble with us from the Intermediate Class? You really are tired of living! In that case, I'll grant you your death wish today!" the blue-clothed student bellowed.
"Brother Lin, let me teach him a lesson instead. This is the exit area, and there are definitely a lot of instructors around. The consequences will be severe if you actually kill him!" the student who had spoken earlier said.
"I just want to ask one thing: which of you stole my brothers' Magic Crystals and made them lure Demon Beasts? I'm only here for those few. The rest of you had better leave, or don't blame me, Ye Tian, for not warning you if you get caught in the crossfire," Ye Tian said.
Hearing Ye Tian say this, many in the crowd grew indignant. A mere Basic Class student was showing no respect for Intermediate Class students. This was just too arrogant. If they didn't teach him a lesson, people might actually think the Intermediate Class was afraid of the Basic Class.
"Brat, so you're here to stick up for those pushovers. Too bad you picked the wrong person to mess with. You want to know who bullied your brothers? I'll be happy to tell you after I kill you!" the student roared. By now, he had figured out who Ye Tian was.
At this moment, quite a few people in the crowd began to back away. These people knew of Ye Tian. His appearance here meant that things were about to get serious. Ye Tian was known to be incredibly strong; it was possible someone might actually die here today.
However, many still didn't know who Ye Tian was and were eager to see him get killed on the spot.
