Ye Tian was dumbfounded when he heard the War Dragon Remnant Soul. If even it said it would be difficult, then it must be *truly* difficult. This Five Elements Celestial Thunder Tribulation was simply terrifying.
"Senior, do you have a plan?" Ye Tian asked. Every time he ran into trouble, the War Dragon Remnant Soul would help him. At the very least, it could give him an idea now.
"Don't ask me about everything. While the power of this Five Elements Celestial Thunder Tribulation is immense, it can be overcome if handled properly! You have some mastery over the Thunder Element, so figure it out yourself! Whether or not you can survive it depends on your own fortune," the War Dragon Remnant Soul said.
'The War Dragon Remnant Soul didn't give me a direct answer, but it did give me a hint,' Ye Tian realized. 'To survive this Five Elements Celestial Thunder Tribulation, I'll have to rely on my own understanding of the Thunder Element. Who knows, maybe this tribulation will even allow my Thunder Elemental Pearl to fully form. Then, I might be able to start my Cultivation of the Thunder Transformation!'
"Thank you for your guidance, Senior. I know what to do now! I'm confident I can overcome this Thunder Tribulation!" Ye Tian said with a solemn expression.
The tribulation clouds churned without pause. Peals of thunder rumbled from above as lightning tore across the sky, creating a deeply perilous atmosphere. Both Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan stared at the sky, but Ye Bing did not.
His form grew even more hazy. A watery mist began to spread around him as the temperature gradually dropped. Of course, the cold had no effect on Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan, but frost slowly began to form on the ground.
"Brother, the Tribulation Thunder is about to strike," Ye Bing said. "I won't need your help for the first or second bolt, and you don't need to worry about my safety. You remember what I told you, right?"
'He's just trying to keep me from worrying too much,' Ye Tian thought. If the first bolt of the Thunder Tribulation proved too powerful, he would not hesitate to help Ye Bing block the second strike of Celestial Thunder.
"Ye Tian, be extremely careful," Zhang Xinlan warned. "Take out your Black Glaze Sword. You can attack the Celestial Thunder. If you can scatter its Thunder Power, the Attack Power that actually strikes him will be much weaker. But you have to time it perfectly.
"Attack too early, and the lightning won't scatter. Attack too late, and it will be useless. You have to grasp the timing perfectly! I'm sure you can do it!" Zhang Xinlan said with a solemn expression.
Ye Tian gave Zhang Xinlan a slight smile in acknowledgement. He was also incredibly tense. 'What rotten luck,' he thought, 'to run into the Five Elements Celestial Thunder Tribulation.'
Suddenly, a blue bolt of lightning appeared without any warning and crashed down from the sky. As it fell, the terrifying pressure it exerted almost suffocated Ye Tian and Zhang Xinlan.
'That's the first bolt of Celestial Thunder. Such incredible power!' Ye Tian thought. 'I can clearly feel that it's filled with the violent Energy of Water Element Particles. This first strike must be a Water Thunder! Ye Bing's body is of the Water Attribute, so this Celestial Thunder shouldn't affect him too much.'
His eyes were fixed on Ye Bing in the distance. The sudden Celestial Thunder was truly impossible to guard against, but Ye Bing was already prepared!
A massive Profound Ice Shield materialized before him, spinning continuously above his head. The Profound Ice Qi it emitted was incredibly dense. This had to be his defense against the Celestial Thunder!
The blue Celestial Thunder instantly struck the enormous Profound Ice Shield. With a sharp CRACK, the shield was shattered into fragments that scattered across the ground.
The blue lightning, however, had also weakened considerably. It started out as thick as an arm, but by the time it struck Ye Bing, it was only the width of a thumb!
After the blue lightning struck him, Ye Bing's already ethereal body became even more indistinct, as if he might vanish at any moment. Arcs of lightning could be seen flickering across his form.
His entire body was sent flying several meters. A crater more than two meters wide appeared where he had been standing, a testament to the terrifying might of the Thunder Power.
Ye Tian rushed over to Ye Bing. He tried to help him up but found his hands couldn't get a solid hold, passing through his form. He could only watch helplessly, his heart filled with anxiety.
"Ye Bing, how are you?" Ye Tian asked.
"Brother, I'm mostly fine," Ye Bing said as he struggled back to his feet. "It's just... having this Thunder Power inside me is a little uncomfortable. The first Celestial Thunder was the Water Thunder Tribulation, so it didn't affect me too much. Don't worry about me!"
"As long as you're okay! That's all that matters! Let me help you with the second bolt of the Thunder Tribulation! It pains me to see you like this!" Ye Tian said.
"Brother, thank you for your kind offer, but I must endure this second bolt of the Thunder Tribulation myself! Otherwise, I'll never successfully gain a human form through this lightning baptism! As for the third bolt, perhaps you can help. Not by blocking it completely, of course. I still need to be baptized by the lightning, but its Energy can't be too overwhelming," Ye Bing explained.
Ye Tian understood at once. 'So he has to endure all five bolts of the Celestial Thunder Tribulation. The pain must be unimaginable.' He couldn't stop Ye Bing, and the thought was deeply worrying.
And so, the first bolt of Celestial Thunder passed. The tribulation clouds continued to churn as the night grew darker. Thunder rumbled intermittently from the sky, but there was no telling when the second bolt would fall.
The flickering Thunder Power on Ye Bing's body gradually faded. A powerful surge of Profound Ice Qi appeared in his palm and quickly condensed into another Profound Ice Shield, which also began spinning in the air. One could only imagine its Defense Power was immense.
In the face of the Celestial Thunder Power, however, it seemed exceptionally fragile. Still, it should be able to block more than half of the Thunder Power, at least preventing Ye Bing from being instantly obliterated.
"Ye Bing, be careful!" was all Ye Tian could say, his palms slick with sweat, betraying the depths of his anxiety.
About an hour later, a bolt of red lightning slashed down from the sky. This one was nearly twice as thick as the first!
"It's a lightning bolt with the Fire Attribute!" Ye Tian shouted to Zhang Xinlan. "Ye Bing's body is of the Water Attribute, and fire and water are fundamentally opposed! This will cause him immense harm! I don't know if he can take it!"
"Since Ye Bing said he doesn't need your help, he must have a way to endure it!" Zhang Xinlan replied. "He's worried about the final few bolts! The Thunder Power must be draining his Energy too quickly. He probably won't be able to form another Profound Ice Shield, and that's when he'll need you!"
Ye Tian had to admit Zhang Xinlan had a point. As the Fire Thunder crashed down, it illuminated the sky for miles around. An immense pressure blanketed the area, and for a moment, all the beasts in the mountains let out terrified roars.
At that very moment, the Fire Thunder struck Ye Bing's Profound Ice Shield. The moment of greatest concern had arrived…
