In the car, neither Yin Tianshen nor Bai Yiran spoke. The car was moving so fast that Bai Yiran had to hold tightly onto the car door handle to keep herself steady.

"Can you drive a little slower?" Bai Yiran attempted to ask.

Yin Tianshen did not answer, lost in thought. Bai Yiran sighed, knowing that asking was pointless.

"What I just said was true," Yin Tianshen blurted out without warning.

Bai Yiran was taken aback and asked, "What did you say? Tearing her mouth apart? Or calling her a high-class prostitute?"

"The part where I said you’re the woman I like." Yin Tianshen pulled the car over to the side of the road, turned around, and looked deeply at Bai Yiran, "That’s true!"

Bai Yiran felt inexplicably bewildered and at a loss. She was analyzing whether Yin Tianshen was joking or serious, as being liked by Yin Tianshen was not something that made Bai Yiran happy.

Yin Tianshen and Bai Yiran both got out of the car, only to see Leng Yichen leaning casually against the side of the car in front.

Leng Yichen looked at Yin Tianshen with a half-smile, "Can I have my wife back?"

"That’s what happened, there’s really nothing between me and him."

Leng Yichen held the steering wheel with one hand and pulled Bai Yiran into his arms with the other, not speaking but showing his trust in Bai Yiran through his actions.

Bai Yiran nestled in Leng Yichen’s arms, breathing in his unique scent, but then noticed they weren’t heading home, "Where are we going?"

"The airport."

"What are we doing at the airport?" Bai Yiran straightened up and asked in surprise.

"Going on a honeymoon."

"A honeymoon..."

Normally, newlyweds go on a honeymoon, but hers and Leng Yichen’s marriage was so swift that right after the wedding there were a ton of issues to deal with, let alone a honeymoon; even now, Bai Yiran didn’t even have a ring.

"Mm, where do you want to go?"

"Where to?" Bai Yiran was a bit stunned, "This is all too sudden, I haven’t prepared anything, not even luggage, and then there are the matters at the company, how can we just leave like this?"

Leng Yichen affectionately pinched Bai Yiran’s smooth cheek, "I’ve already briefed Anna about your company affairs, she’ll be in charge for the next few days. Actually, as long as Anna is there, you’re practically non-essential. As for the luggage, as long as you have money in hand, what’s there to worry about?"

Leng Yichen’s words felt like a slap to Bai Yiran’s face, but maybe they were true. As long as Anna was at the company, it would operate smoothly; in truth, she was dispensable.
