Chapter 658: Chapter 651: Scheming (Part 6)
Recalling everything that happened before, Bai Yiran began to analyze her current situation.
Although they kidnapped her, they didnât tie her up. At least in this room, she was free to move around.
She stood up and looked around the entire room. It was relatively clean and tidy, indicating that these people didnât intend to mistreat her.
Her phone wasnât on her, as it was left with her bag at the cafĂ©. So, at this moment, she had no way to contact the outside world.
While Bai Yiran was observing the room for anything useful, the door opened from the outside.
She heard the sound of high heels hitting the ground and turned around to see Yao Zhiqing, as expected.
"Long time no see, Yiran!" Yao Zhiqing was holding a plastic bag with a pharmacy logo on it.
Yao Zhiqing placed the plastic bag on the table and then casually sat on the chair next to it, "Your head is still bleeding. Come here, and Iâll bandage it for you."
Yao Zhiqingâs voice was still gentle, which made Bai Yiran feel dazed when she heard it. It was as if the woman in front of her was still the kind, amiable teacher from before, not a drug dealer who had committed numerous crimes.
"What are you doing standing there? Arenât you coming over? Doesnât your head hurt?" Yao Zhiqing smiled, waving at Bai Yiran.
Bai Yiran walked over and sat on the chair next to Yao Zhiqing, staring at her without blinking.
Yao Zhiqing took out iodine, gauze, and medical bandages from the plastic bag.
"Your wound isnât deep. As long as itâs disinfected and bandaged, it shouldnât leave a scar." Yao Zhiqing nonchalantly began disinfecting and bandaging Bai Yiran, "Iodine is milder, so it wonât hurt as much when I apply it."
Bai Yiran tightly pursed her lips, watching Yao Zhiqing, who didnât mind and let her watch.
After finishing the bandaging, Yao Zhiqing gave a satisfied smile and patted Bai Yiranâs hand, "My husband went too far. How can he hit a young girl on the head? What if it leaves a scar? She wonât be able to face people in the future!"
"Husband?" Bai Yiran sneered, "Donât you think that title is a bit ironic?"
Yao Zhiqing feigned surprise, "Oh, so you know everything now? Fine, I wonât keep it from you. In the future, donât call him âMaster,â just call him Da Lin!"
Bai Yiran finally understood why Yao Zhiqing had previously shown disdain for her âhusband.â They were never truly a couple!
"Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" Yao Zhiqing grabbed Bai Yiranâs hand, looking genuinely concerned.
Bai Yiran forcefully withdrew her hand, "Arenât you disgusted? If youâre not, I certainly am!"
It was clear that she was no longer her teacher, obviously had kidnapped her, and harbored sinister motives. Yet, there she was, acting like a saint, caring about whether she was in pain, if the wound would scar, whether she was hungry!
Isnât this a huge irony?
"Disgusted?" Yao Zhiqing laughed indifferently, "Not really. Iâve done much worse things, so what is this?"
Bai Yiran found the smile on Yao Zhiqingâs face exceptionally jarring, "Turn yourself in. Youâre wanted nationwide. You canât escape, so stop doing things youâll regret later!"
"Regret?" Yao Zhiqing stood up, walked a few steps forward, then turned around. When she looked at Bai Yiran again, her eyes had lost their previous gentleness, replaced by ferocity, "Do you know what I regret the most? Itâs that back then, when Wu Chengzu wanted to kill you, I, considering you were my favorite student, spared you!"
