Chapter 1626: Chapter 936: The Inverted and Intersecting Halls_2 Chapter 1626: Chapter 936: The Inverted and Intersecting Halls_2 Ariel followed closely beside Leo Ray and chimed in, âIt seems that a large number of âDislocated Objectsâ must be present here.â
As they talked about this, a look of confusion appeared on Arielâs fair face, as she asked, âWho caused all of this? What is the purpose of doing so? More accurately, this is not something that human power can accomplish.â
âWe still donât know for the time being. The only thing that can be confirmed is that the âDislocated Objectsâ and the âLost Relicsâ are both mysterious effects left behind from the Era of Blankness,â said Leo Ray as he slowly took a deep breath, nodding to Ariel and the surrounding subordinates. âAlthough we have figured out the reason for this upside-down hall, the magic traps still exist, so be cautious.â
âHehe, what a cautious fellow.â
Harrisonâs disdainful and cunning voice once again echoed throughout the vast temple.
âLet me tell you, this dwarf temple is a treasure, and our Sanders family would not destroy it casually. Therefore, this place is the safest place in the entire trial field. All traps have been disarmed, and you can walk around without worry,â Harrison said with an added chill and a playful tone. âBut when you reach the end of the temple, your real death will come. Itâs an interesting surprise that you never expected.â
âEven though there are no other people in this temple, there always seem to be flies buzzing in my ears.â
Leo Ray naturally didnât believe the other partyâs words and nodded for his subordinates to continue moving cautiously.
The evenly paced footsteps of the six people echoed back and forth in the upside-down Dwarf Prayer Hall, bringing a long-lost vitality to this ancient, lost temple.
As they moved forward, Leo Ray noticed.
This great hall was incredibly grand, probably able to gather at least a hundred thousand dwarves for prayer and hymns. However, it inevitably makes people sigh. Such a breathtaking building was eventually buried in the torrent of time and space and lost its original function.
Its former masters, the dwarves who built this temple, had probably vanished in the Era of Blankness, ceasing to exist three thousand years ago.
Other than that, just as Harrison had said, there were indeed no other magic traps found here. The only thing that was disorienting was the grand, upside-down scene, constantly stimulating the senses and nerves of the group.
âIâm afraid the real reason there are no magic traps here is that the traps are concentrated on the actual ground on the towering ceiling. Even the Sanders family couldnât modify them while hanging upside down.â
Leo Ray raised his eyebrows and thought to himself.
Before they knew it, Leo Ray and his group had finally arrived at the end of the long-lost dwarf temple, stepping on the dust and sighing.
As Arielâs dazzling guiding light orb quickly flew over from the front, the sight ahead left them all in awe.
At the end of the temple, where light and shadows intertwined, there was an upside-down, gigantic dwarf statue. Its sturdy, burly body and thick, wire-like beard were incredibly conspicuous. The awe-inspiring expression and the forging hammer in its hand indicated that this statue represented a deity skilled in forging.
Under the glow of the guiding light orb, the chiseled lines of the dwarf statue were lifelike, making it seem as if it would at any moment flip over and stand back on the earth.
These were not the most surprising aspects, however.
Beneath the hanging dwarf deity statue, another enormous goddess statue stood at a slant. The goddess statue had a slender figure, and the carving technique used was obviously much more delicate than that of the dwarf statue. Even though only half of the statueâs profile was visible, one could see its flawless appearance.
When placed together with the hanging dwarf statue, it looked like a scene right out of Beauty and the Beast.
In the goddess statueâs hand, she held an ornate oil lamp, seemingly illuminating everything around her.
However, the goddess statueâs slanted posture, at a 45-degree angle, was incredibly strange. It seemed as if it would fall and break into pieces at any moment.
In short, this suddenly-appearing slanted goddess statue was completely different from the pre-existing dwarf statue and was clearly not made by craftsmen of the same style.
âWhat a strange, slanted goddess statue. Its pose is utterly bizarre,â Ariel commented. Her eyes widened, and she continued with amazement, âThis goddess statue clearly does not belong in this dwarf temple!â
âIndeed, both the carving technique and the depicted character are not of the dwarf people. Itâs more like another race similar to humans,âJasper Richardsonâs gaze moved around, focusing on the racial features where the goddess statue might appear.
However, because the goddessâs headscarf covered her ears, it was impossible to discern.
âLord, look!â
A coarse voice sounded as Taylor appeared under the goddess statue, pointing to the front of it.
Hearing Taylorâs voice, Ariel Watsonâs guiding light sphere shot toward the same direction, illuminating another vast space.
It was only at this moment that Leo Ray and the others discovered something.
Although this was the end of the Dwarf Temple of Inversion, it was not the end of the road.
Right in front of the strange goddess statue, there was a 45-degree slope leading upwards to an unknown dark area.
âThis seems to be another temple.â
As the light sphere flew into the darkness, a look of sudden realization appeared on Ariel Watsonâs fair face.
âSo, the âDislocated Objectsâ here are not just the Dwarf Temple of Inversion and the dungeon we just encountered, but also this temple of an unknown race!â
âMoreover, the front part of these two temples overlapped, causing a deviation in direction and resulting in the bizarre scene of one being upside down, and the other one leaning back!â
With Arielâs explanation, everyone, including Leo Ray, suddenly understood the situation.
âSo, two originally unconnected temples were joined together like this due to the effect of âDislocated Objectsâ, huh?â
Leo Ray raised his eyebrows, his face full of surprise: âReally unexpected! Who could have thought that beneath the Sanders Family Castle, there were actually two different raceâs temples.â
One could imagine that at the very beginning, some extremely remarkable treasures must have been hidden here.
This was probably the reason why the Sanders Family was able to rise quickly in the Coldflame Kingdom and eventually become one of the Three Great Aristocracies of Coldflame. It was like a gift from heaven.
âForget it, Iâm not interested in ordinary treasures. If there are any items similar to the âKey of Truthâ in these two temples, they should still be stored in the Sanders Familyâs treasure vault.â
âBy then, as long as Linda successfully ascends to the throne of the Family Master, everything will be mine.â
Leo Ray raised his eyebrows, thinking to himself.
âBut which raceâs goddess statue is this, after all?â
Ariel Watson looked up at the enormous statue of the goddess, frowning involuntarily.
Ariel understood clearly that in order to solve the upcoming magic traps, she had to know the templeâs owner through the racial characteristics first.
After all, from Harrisonâs previous words, this sudden unknown temple was where the real danger lay.
âThe goddess statue doesnât show any racial characteristics, so itâs difficult to guess at the moment.â
Jasper Richardson and Red Night exchanged glances, and after seeing a sense of confusion in each otherâs eyes, they shook their heads helplessly.
âSince we still canât figure out who the owner of the temple is, the only way forward is to continue on. There will surely be more clues in the temple.â
Leo Ray nodded to his subordinates and waved: âUnder Harrisonâs devious plot, Kane and the others outside wonât be able to hold on for too long. We must race against time.â
After Leo Ray finished speaking, his subordinates put their full focus into advancing into the new temple.
Although the path here was uphill, it made no difference to powerful people like Leo Ray, who moved as if they were on level ground.
However, not long after Leo Ray started walking, he felt the atmosphere around him becoming eerily strange.
