Chapter 1940: Chapter 1093: Unforeseen Events at the Banquet_2

“If it weren’t for the Royal Highness Prince reactivating the ‘Blood Feast Barrier’ and restoring it to an unprecedented normal state, which was then sensed by the True Ancestor during his travels in the Outer Region, I probably wouldn’t have seen the True Ancestor at all in the past few decades.”

Catherine gave an awkward smile, her exquisite face full of helplessness.

The expression of helplessness was just like a princess’s teacher encountering a rebellious princess, with a look of daring to be angry but not to speak.

It’s no wonder, after all, Louise’s strength is astonishing, enough to rival four or five National Level powerhouses, her prolonged absence indeed greatly affects the Blood Clan’s combat power.

“She’s really quite an unrestrained young lady.”

Looking at Catherine’s unspeakable expression, Leo Ray also chuckled and then curiously asked, “Your Majesty the Queen, isn’t the True Ancestor the original vampire? With a lifespan beyond measure, why does she have the demeanor of a rebellious girl?”

“Royal Highness Prince may not know, but it actually all began when the Blood Clan was retreating from the Ironhand Archipelago.”

Catherine sighed lightly and began to continue her description.

It turns out, when the Blood Clan was severely hit by the Grimm Kingdom, Pars Empire, and Temple of Light, the Blood Clan True Ancestor was heavily wounded under the siege of over ten Tier 5 powerhouses led by the Temple of Light, escaping with her life only by a stroke of luck.

By the time she was discovered by other Blood Clans, her condition was already incurable.

In order to continue protecting the Blood Clan, the True Ancestor, with the assistance of other Blood Clans, had no choice but to use her unique Resurrection Secret Technique with all her might, completely sealing herself until she reemerged.

“So Louise is the True Ancestor after emerging from her cocoon as a butterfly?”

Leo Ray nodded thoughtfully, fully understanding the ins and outs of the situation.

“That’s right, the True Ancestor broke out of her cocoon fifty years ago. At the time, in my excitement, I quickly realized that while the True Ancestor had returned to her youthful state, she had lost all her previous memories, like a pure white sheet of paper, with only her power restored to its original state.”

Catherine slightly nodded, recalling, “She stayed in Iron Blood City for only ten years, then secretly slipped away due to her urgent longing for the outside world. When she returned, twenty years had passed, and this time is the third time in fifty years that I’ve seen the True Ancestor.”

“She really is a worrisome young lady.”

Seeing Catherine looking like a concerned mother about her child, Leo Ray could only smile helplessly.

“As a long-lived Blood Clan member, the True Ancestor’s growth is also a very lengthy process, she may remain in this young lady state for a long time, so if there’s any offense, I ask the Royal Highness Prince not to take it to heart.”

Catherine sighed lightly, then downed the red wine in her cup in one gulp.

“Your Majesty the Queen, you exaggerate. Being able to meet such a unique Miss Louise is also quite a fascinating experience in life.”

Looking at Catherine, who used wine to drown her sorrows, Leo Ray also sipped on Champagne, still keeping a slight smile.

“Catherine, are you gossiping behind my back again?”

A crisp voice sounded, and Louise, with a gleaming mouth, walked over so arrogantly that it was as if she was walking sideways, swinging her twin ponytails.

“True Ancestor, don’t joke, I’ve been too busy praising you.”

Catherine quickly waved her hand, looking exceedingly sincere.

“Don’t try to fool me easily, I’ve been tricked too many times!”

With half a tiger tooth exposed, Louise placed a hand on her waist, giving a scrutinizing look, circling around Catherine as if trying to find some evidence but ultimately finding none.

“Fine, I’m in a good mood today, so I’ll let it slide.”

Then, Louise quickly turned to Leo Ray, praising endlessly, “Otherworldly Prince of the Human Clan, the food you’ve prepared suits my taste perfectly; I’m very satisfied!”

“To receive Miss Louise’s praise, I feel deeply honored.”

Obviously knowing how to converse with this Blood Clan young lady, Leo Ray smiled and said, “If Miss Louise likes it, I’ll prepare even more delectable food next time.”

“Really?”

Louise’s star-filled eyes lit up, eagerly tiptoeing and asking, “When? Is it tonight?”

“Anytime, you are, after all, a great hero of the Coldflame Kingdom, naturally deserving of our highest hospitality.”

Leo Ray still maintained his slight smile and nodded slightly.

“Awesome, it seems we really hit it off!”

Louise directly held onto Leo Ray’s arm with an intimate look, “I’ve decided, I’m staying here and not leaving!”

Upon hearing this, Catherine was stunned and quickly said, “True Ancestor, this is the front line of the battle, not a place for you to fool around, you’ll interfere with the Royal Highness Prince’s governance if you stay here.”

“Catherine, just manage other Blood Clans, my affairs are none of your business!”

Once again putting her hands on her waist, Louise had a determined look that said she wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Observing this amusing scene, Leo Ray looked indifferent.

After all, this Blood Clan girl is a Half-step Tier 6 Expert that is unmatched among the various Human countries, an existence not to be underestimated even in the Outer Region. If she could be of use, it would undoubtedly be beneficial.

Moreover, though this girl is esteemed as the True Ancestor of the Blood Clan, she remains childlike at heart. With a little guidance, she won’t be difficult to restrain.

“But, True Ancestor, considering your special status, it may not be appropriate.”

Catherine knew Louise’s willful nature, evidently fearing that Leo Ray would be caught in a dilemma.

“No worries, isn’t the Blood Clan already allied with the Coldflame Kingdom? Since we’re comrades on the same frontline, what’s wrong with me staying here?”

Louise gently raised her brows with a rightful look.

After a moment, as if she remembered something, she suddenly said to Catherine in realization, “I get it! You’re worried that our relationship with the Coldflame Kingdom isn’t close enough, right? That’s easy to solve!”

Then turning to Leo Ray, Louise uttered something that took everyone by surprise: “Otherworldly Prince of the Human Clan, may I ask, would you consider being my consort?”

Louise’s words instantly silenced the room.

Everyone, including Leo Ray, looked wide-eyed, stunned at this unexpected development.

Especially Ariel Watson, who looked flustered, unsure of what to say.

“What? Is it that surprising?”

Louise’s delicate face shone with a matter-of-fact expression as she continued, hands on her waist, “If we join in matrimony, our two countries’ relationship naturally becomes closer, don’t all nobles of the Human various countries do this?”

“True Ancestor, though that’s the case, marriage is a significant matter, how could it be done so hastily?”

Seeing the awkward moment, Catherine quickly intervened, “This matter requires careful deliberation; I hope the True Ancestor will consider.”

“What’s there to consider? I’ve been ruling the Blood Clan for thousands of years, can’t I even choose my own husband?”

Louise straightened her rather proud petite figure, her tone revealing a trace of questioning.

“This…”

Seeing the True Ancestor’s aggressive stance, Catherine was at a loss for words, unsure of what to say.

“Miss Louise, I believe our friendship is beyond measure by anything.”

Leo Ray stepped forward with a smile, nodding to Louise, “So, let everything take its course, even as the True Ancestor of the Blood Clan, you needn’t do anything intentionally; our friendship will remain unbreakable.”

“Really? Are you saying our relationship with the Coldflame Kingdom is already extremely close?”

Louise’s starry eyes brightened again, asking, “Then I can stay here, right?”

“Of course, but to stay here, you’ll need to agree on three terms with me.”

Successfully diverting the topic, Leo Ray raised his eyebrows slightly.
