Amidst the dim lights around them, the only thing shining brightly was succubus Aliceās eyes, filled with hatred.
Raphaelās lips slowly curled into a faint smile. His eyes narrowed slightly as he replied softly:
"Thereās absolutely no problem. As long as you can help me, I will happily grant this small request."
He was already imagining how great it would feel to have the [Chain of Pain Transfer], relieving the pain his body was currently enduring. It would be both satisfying and freeing.
Of course, he was also thinking about all the wealth owned by that cursed Slaughter Demon!
Just then, the figures of Draw and Loros appeared from the shadows.
None of them had expected that attending Suncrest Mercantileās auction at the Abyss Heartsire would yield such unexpected rewards.
Although they hadnāt yet obtained the materials from the Slaughter Demon, they believed those items now belonged to them.
Three Mythic Rank Demons were staring at Alice, whose legs still bled, with eyes full of excitement.
Suddenly, succubus Alice shivered and a bad feeling rose in her heart.
"Itās just a human slave and a seemingly weak Slaughter Demon. Nothing out of the ordinary will happen," Alice thought to herself.
Although it was the pigfolk named Peter who had brought her to this wretched state, the one she resented most right now was Hazel, along with the Slaughter Demon.
Just thinking about Hazel made succubus Alice clench her fists tightly, her nails piercing into her flesh. Yet on her face, only hatred and malice remained.
"Who! Where is he!" Raphael suddenly turned and looked into a certain corner of this street.
No one answered. Only hurried footsteps echoed in the darkness.
Without the slightest hesitation, Loros transformed his arm into several black vines that quickly spread toward the source of the footsteps.
In less than a second, the black vines rushed back, dragging a human with them.
Hazel was panicking. She struggled hard, but she wasnāt very strong, and she was facing Loros, a Mythic Rank Demon genius.
No matter how much she fought, she couldnāt break free from the vinesā grip.
"Itās her, it is her!" succubus Aliceās eyes went wide. She was filled with excitement and disbelief.
One second ago, she had hated this human. Now, the very person was right in front of her.
You canāt understand that feeling unless youāve lived through it.
Aliceās body trembled with excitement. She dragged her seriously injured body and rushed toward Hazel.
"You filthy wench!"
Alice growled, glaring at Hazel. "Itās all your fault! If you had served that pigfolk, I wouldnāt be in this mess!"She slowly raised her arm.
Raphael wasnāt stupid. Hearing Aliceās words, he immediately realized who this human woman was.
His pale face suddenly flushed red. All he could think about was that Slaughter Demonāit was definitely over for them.
But then, Raphael noticed something wrong. He quickly spoke up. "Wait, how did she get here?"
"Canāt Heartspire human slaves leave their designated areas?"
As soon as he said that, succubus Alice froze. Her raised arm stopped mid-air. She looked at Hazelās smooth, fair neck.
Her eyes widened again, filled with confusion. "You... you actually escaped?"
The only reason Alice could imagine was that Hazel had escaped from Suncrest Mercantile.
Hazel took a deep breath. Her panic vanished in an instant.
She had originally come to find Aelris and hand over the root of the Skeleton Tree.
But she never expected that three incredibly powerful Demons would appear, intending to use succubus Alice to strike at Aelris.
She had tried to hide as best she could at the very start, but she still hadnāt managed to escape the Gaunt Demonās detection.
"Looks like my luck ran out the moment I met Aelris," Hazel said, a bitter smile playing on her lips.
Her eyes scanned the group quickly, finally stopping at the blood flowing between succubus Aliceās legs.
Seeing the bright red blood, a hint of mockery appeared on Hazelās face.
"Looks like that pigfolk isnāt much to brag about. He didnāt even manage to kill you."
"What an useless idiot!"
Aliceās expression instantly twisted. Her once-delicate features were now distorted. Grinding her teeth, she hissed coldly:
"You should be worrying about yourself. Soon, you filthy wench, you damn bitch, will be..."
Alice didnāt finish her sentence. Before she could, Hazel suddenly burst out laughing.
"Haha! You idiots! Mr. Aelris left Heartspire as soon as the auction ended!"
"Nothing you want to do will ever happen now."
Hearing this, Raphael immediately panicked. He took a few frantic steps forward and extended his long fingers.
His black nails, sharp as blades, slowly crept toward Hazelās face.
Raphael stared at Hazel with dead eyes and demanded, "You better be joking with me. Otherwise, Iāll show you what true cruelty looks like!"
A flash of despair passed through Hazelās eyes. She knew that succubus Alice and these mysterious Demons wanted to use her to do something terrible to Mr. Aelris.
How could she just stand there and watch that happen?
Without the slave collar, she could finally do what she had always wanted to do but never could.
"Mr. Aelris, thank you for being the brightest dawn I have ever seen."
"Pity... just a little bit more, and I could have escaped this endless dark life," Hazel thought to herself.
She looked up seriously, staring at the sky lit up by the lights of Heartspireās inner city.
"The sky on Earth looks so warm and bright," Hazel sighed.
In the next instant, her face turned bright red. The magic within her body lost control, raging wildly all over her system.
Seeing this, Raphael shouted loudly: "Loros, quickly! Stop her! Paralyze her with toxins!"
Vine Demon Loros immediately controlled the black vines to grow sharp thorns, trying to stop Hazel, but it was already too late.
The chaotic magic inside Hazelās body acted like a burst dam, ruthlessly tearing her apart.
Splosh!
A huge mouthful of bright red blood erupted from Hazelās lips.
"Damn it, do you even know what youāre doing?" Raphael was in a total panic. After finally finding this opportunity, something like this had to happen now.
This human woman in front of him was choosing to end her own life just to protect that Slaughter Demon from getting involved.
He had never seen anything like this before.
Moreover, her method of suicide was completely unexpected.
"I certainly know you canāt stop me," Hazel smiled. "This suicide method has been tried over and over again by hopeless human slaves. Unless I choose to stop it myself, I wonāt..."
In the Abyss Heartspire, even human slaves who wanted to give up their lives had to go through immense pain first.
However, this method only worked when there was no slave collar binding them.
"Shut up, you damn bitch! No, you canāt die that easily!" succubus Alice screamed. She suddenly turned and looked at Raphael, Draw, and Loros.
"Canāt any of you think of a way?" Alice demanded.
Raphaelās face turned ugly. Whether it was him, Draw, or Loros, none of them were skilled at healing; they were all just fighters.
In a situation like this, they truly had no way to help.
Just then, Hazelās eyes, filled with despair, suddenly shrank. Her blood-stained lips trembled slightly, shaking imperceptibly from side to side.
Raphael immediately sensed something was wrong. He spun around, looking behind him.
There, stepping slowly out of the shadows, was a Demon. He stood 2.5 meters tall, with two horns on his head, scales covering his entire body, and sharp bone spurs growing from his elbows. He possessed explosive muscles, yet his figure was incredibly fluid and graceful. He had his hands behind his back.
"Itās you!" Raphaelās pupils dilated instantly, and his expression shifted to pure excitement.
Just a moment ago, he had been worrying: if the human woman died right then, how would he find the Slaughter Demon?
He never expected the Slaughter Demon to be this stupid. He actually dared to show up right in front of him!
"My luck is just great today," Raphael muttered to himself.
He stared fixedly at Aiden and continued, "If you hadnāt competed with me at the auction, you wouldnāt be in this mess now."
"If youāre smart, just hand over everything I want. Maybe Iāll let you keep your life!"
Draw and Loros immediately stepped forward with smiles, moving to the left and right sides of Aiden.
Aiden ignored Raphael completely. Instead, he looked directly at Hazel, his expression calm, and said, "Iām here. Donāt worry, everything is going to be safe now."
Hazel took a deep breath and actively began to control the chaotic magic in her body.
She replied slowly, "Itās all my fault. If it werenāt for me, you wouldnāt be in such danger."
Guilt and self-blame filled her heart.
Just then, she saw a sudden smile appear on Aidenās face. He slowly reached his left hand out from behind his back.
In the next instant, Raphaelās expression changed violently.
