Chapter 1323 – Position will determine the mindset

“Eh, where did you go the past few days? You sounded so secretive when I called.” Wen Dongjun asked.

“Other than business, what else can I do? I had gone to negotiate a huge business deal. Firearms!” Feng Yu said proudly.

“Firearms?! Stop boasting. You are so timid. Do you even dare to touch those things? Even those newspaper sellers are claiming to be in the media business. Those selling ear picks are saying they are doing steel trading. Let me guess. Are you selling bulletproof cars?” Wen Dongjun asked with a ‘you cannot fool me’ expression.

Feng Yu almost choked after hearing what Wen Dongjun said. From his logic, do toothpick sellers and disposable chopsticks sellers call themselves timber traders?

“Never mind. You will not understand even if I tell you. How can you be compared to me? I am now the World’s Richest Man, and many people depend on me for a living!” Feng Yu retorted.

“I still need to manage the 2008 Olympics, and the whole world is watching my performance.”

“Oh, what is your duty in the Olympic Committee?” Feng Yu curiously asked.

“Err… let’s not talk about it. Come, cheers!” Wen Dongjun’s face changed, and he raised his beer mug.

Feng Yu got more curious after seeing Wen Dongjun’s expression. “Tell me about it. Are you tasked to wash the toilets?”

“You are the one who is sent to wash the toilets! I am a graduate, and I will be getting my Master’s next year. I am a highly qualified intellectual!”

“Then what are you doing now?”

“Supervisor!”

Hahaha…. Feng Yu imagined a sulking Wen Dongjun standing at a construction site with a yellow safety helmet and could not stop laughing.

Wen Dongjun is someone who cannot stay still. He will be bored to death if he must remain at the same place every day.

“Don’t your department have people who are suited for this role?”

“My Leader said I am suited for it because I majored in management for my Masters. If I know this will happen, I should listen to my father-in-law to study philosophy.”

“Don’t say this. Your position is very important. Furthermore, even security guards have their value. Come… cheers!” Feng Yu purposely poke fun at him.

“Bullshit. I don’t even know what I am doing there. I don’t understand the drawings and have to listen to the foreman. The last time I said something, I was scolded by the foreman. I am a goddamn Master’s degree holder, and that foreman did not even graduate from middle school! When I told Zhang Han about this, she laughed at me for the whole night!”

“Never mind. Stop thinking about it. Your foreman has years of experience, and this is his expertise. He will not be as good as you in your area of expertise. For example… playing computer games!”

Wen Dongjun is speechless as he thought Feng Yu was about to praise him. How is playing games consider expertise?

“Eh, what will happen if our Olympics did not do well after spending so much money?” Wen Dongjun asked.

“You also said that we had spent so much money. Suppose we still cannot host the Olympics well. In that case, you all, the General Administration of Sport of China, will be scolded by everyone. All of you will be punished, and the most lenient punishment will be demoting. But if you all had done a good job, all of you will benefit from it. Maybe your rank will be equivalent to Uncle Wen.”

“Are you saying that I will be promoted to Deputy Bureau Director? I am currently a Divisional Chief. Although I don’t have any authority, it is still my rank. My father took quite a several years to reach my current rank.” Wen Dongjun replied proudly.

Feng Yu looks at Wen Dongjun. It is because you have a good father-in-law. Without Zhang Han’s father, you might not even become a Section Chief with your attitude!

Both of them chatted while eating, and Feng Yu felt at ease when chatting with him.

Feng Yu does not have any friends who can ignore his status as the World’s Richest Man.

But Wen Dongjun is different. They grew up together, and Wen Dongjun is the type who has no ambitions. He does not care about money and has never treated Feng Yu as the World’s Richest Man. He even defeated Feng Yu at Warcraft 3 in the afternoon.

Feng Yu felt the most relaxed when chatting with Wen Dongjun. This is what he wanted.

Feng Yu can also relax when he is with Kirilenko, but he will want to drink every time they dine together.

Fu Guangzheng had become more focused on his business and is more matured now. Feng Yu felt it had become boring to have fun together.

Feng Yu’s dreams in his previous life are to be a landlord so that he can laze around. But in this life, he has more money than he can spend, but he is always busy.

As others said, you will have a different mindset when you are in a different position.

In Feng Yu’s previous life, he only wishes for a peaceful life. But it is different now. He is not satisfied after becoming the World’s Richest Man, especially when he saw those multi-billion MNCs.

Feng Yu noticed that he is the most useless and free person in his companies. No wonder people will say that the bigger the company, the more useless, the higher management executives are. Some even say that anyone can run the World’s Top 500 companies if they have the connections.

Although Feng Yu disagrees with these people, he realized it is happening now. He does not need to do anything, and his company will continue to grow.

But Feng Yu does not want to stop. He wants his companies to grow faster.

He had dreamed of retiring at 30 years old and travel around the world.

Feng Yu felt that he should find something to do or else his life will be too boring.

…….

“Old Zhong, is everything fine in the company?”

“Everything is fine here.”

Feng Yu: “…….”

How can everything in the company is fine? At least ask me to do something. I can go to work at Tai Hua Holdings too.

“Oh, there is a small problem within the company.”

Feng Yu immediately become interested. “What is it? Tell me, and I will settle it for you!”

“Our handheld Digital Video Camera is not selling well. The DV market is not good overall, and we are thinking of ways to improve it.”

“Leave this to me! I will go over to Shanghai tomorrow!”
