A case of domestic violence forms because of a crowd of cowardly relatives who only persuade peace, essentially aiding and abetting the villain.
The trap they set is ready for someone to fall into.
After receiving a call from his eldest son, Father Geng brought their stepmother, Wang Cui, to Beidou Third Hospital that afternoon.
There was no surgery scheduled. Doctor Zuoliang, following Du Haiweiās orders, focused on welcoming the studentsā families in the ward with his two students.
As soon as Father Geng stepped into the ward, he immediately called for his eldest son, shouting loudly, "Geng Yongzhe."
"Heās here." Not letting the students respond, Zuo Liang quickly called him over.
Intercepted by someone, Father Geng, displeased, wondered who it was, and supporting Wang Cui, he walked over to ask, "Iām looking for my son. Who are you to answer for him?"
"Iām a doctor here, and his teacher," Zuo Liang said, not waiting for Father Geng to ask more, he glanced at Wang Cui, "Is she the patient?"
"Yes, doctor," Wang Cui, eager for medical treatment, hurriedly interrupted Father Geng to answer the doctor.
"Iāve arranged a bed for you. You take the admission notification downstairs to pay the hospitalization deposit," Zuo Liang instructed the patientās family.
Meanwhile, Xie Wanying quickly scribbled down, like lightning, and handed the admission notification to Father Geng.
Father Geng didnāt take it, pointing at his eldest son, "Heāll pay. We are his parents, and we have no money. He is our son, and he should pay."
What an assertive father.
Xie Wanying ignored him, transferring the slip to Wang Cuiās hand. Letting her, the patient, decide whether itās life or shamelessness.
"I said, he should pay." Father Geng turned around and continued pointing at his eldest son.
"Heās a student. Where would he get the money?" Zuo Liang said.
"We know he has money. When his brother was treated in the Capital, if he didnāt provide the money, who did?" Father Geng had evidently figured this out before coming.
The two insisted on having Geng Yongzhe arrange for medical treatment, not just for finding a well-known doctor but more importantly for money. The medical expenses are immense, and Father Geng, being so persistently money-driven, finds parting with even a tiny sum painful and is generally unwilling to spend.
Whether willing or not, if the patient is aware and has autonomy, it is up to the patientās decision. This point clinical doctors, by law, will not mind the yells of Father Geng.
Xie Wanying very calmly took the medical records Wang Cui brought and opened them in place of her teacher.
What kind of gynecological disease does Wang Cui have?
Itās cervical cancer.
The more evil someone is, the more they care about their life. Wang Cui is not foolish. She found out that if she gets a good doctor for surgery, she wonāt die immediately from this disease.
"Tell him to go pay quickly. This bed can only be held until five oāclock this afternoon. Patients at the Capitalās Top Three Hospitals are all in line, waiting to complete the admission procedures," Xie Wanying said to Wang Cui.
After hearing her words, Wang Cui hesitated.
Father Geng clung to his eldest son, "Geng Yongzhe, your mother is sick, and itās only right that you pay. Do I need to tell others about how unfilial you are?"
If a relative wants to ruin you, itās the easiest.
"Dad, if you say that, Iāll tell the police about you breaking my brotherās leg, and youāll have to go to jail," Geng Yongzhe finally said the words he hadnāt been able to utter for years, blocked by his grandparents.
"Dare you accuse me? Iām your father, and you are my sons. I can beat you however I like. If he got his leg broken by me, thatās what he deserved," Father Geng said angrily.
"Fine, say that to the police. Also, everyone here just heard your words, proving you really broke my brotherās leg," Geng Yongzhe was now determined, ready to denounce his kin for the greater good.
