Chapter 1821: Chapter 1821: Turns Out It’s the Second Master’s Family

Xue Ganggang also wanted to help the Yao Tribe as much as possible before her foot injury healed.

Meanwhile, while she was healing her foot injury, Xue Ganggang taught Bai Xing and the Yao Tribe many things. On the other hand, unbeknownst to her, Jiang Yue and Xue Yan had finally arrived at the Fei Tribe.

During their journey, Jiang Yue and Xue Yan naturally took the opportunity to inquire about the man in the portrait with some Beastmen they encountered, who all said that the man resembled the Fei Tribe’s king in human form. The king of the Fei Tribe was indeed a Bai Hu, similar in stature to the Bai Hu in the portrait.

They even learned that the Fei Tribe’s king was named Bai Yin.

When there were no Beastmen around to see them, Jiang Yue hid their horses in her space, and then she and her family’s Xue Yan approached the Fei Tribe’s territorial border. There were no Beastmen playing there, but there were patrols. Although the Fei Tribe was the third tribe in the Beast World, they were much more strict and regimented than the second-ranked Jin Tribe.

As Jiang Yue and Xue Yan walked over and took a step across the boundary into the Fei Tribe’s territory, a large male rhinoceros came over during patrol.

This rhinoceros didn’t take on human form and directly asked, “Where are you from? What are you here for?”

If they hadn’t stopped properly outside the boundary and looked very knowledgeable about etiquette, he would have been even ruder.

Seeing that the rhinoceros didn’t comment on them only having the scent of humans, they knew that it probably couldn’t smell the difference. Xue Yan smiled and said, “We have some business and would like to see your king.”

Rhinoceros: “Is our king someone you can see just because you want to? Speak up, where exactly are you from!”

They couldn’t say they were from Da Ling, so Xue Yan replied, “We come from the Jin Tribe.”

“Oh, from the Second Master’s family,” the rhinoceros’s tone softened a bit. “The Second Master hasn’t sent Beastmen over for some days now. Alright then, come with me, I will take you to our king. Does the Second Master have some business with our king?”

Jiang Yue and Xue Yan followed the rhinoceros into the Fei Tribe’s territory and could only lie, “Yes, there is a bit of business.”

This time the rhinoceros wisely did not ask what the business was.

However, as Jiang Yue and Xue Yan followed, they looked around and then Xue Yan asked, “May I ask if the Third Master has captured any females recently?”

Having been in this place for a few days, they broadly understood that here there was no distinction between male and female, only between male and female and sire and dam.

And to prevent the rhinoceros from suspecting anything, because it said that the Jin Tribe is the Second Master’s family, and since the kings of the Jin Tribe and the Fei Tribe were brothers, they now addressed the king of the Fei Tribe as the Third Master, to make the rhinoceros truly believe they had come from the Jin Tribe.

“I am not clear on that,” the rhinoceros answered. “Our king goes hunting frequently and always brings back prey, but no one pays attention to whether they are male or female, as long as they’re edible.”

Jiang Yue and Xue Yan both tensed up: “All the ones captured are eaten?”

The rhinoceros said, “The living ones are not eaten right away. We eat those that are dead at the time and, after finishing them, we eat the living ones. In any case, we keep quite a few living animals in captivity in our tribe. Our king also thinks what the eldest said makes sense, that it’s better to be prepared for emergencies, that way we have something to fall back on in case hunting doesn’t go well and we have nothing to eat.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yue and Xue Yan knew that this eldest must be the Yao Tribe’s king—Bai Xing.

In this world, having such foresight to know it’s better to keep living prey in captivity for emergencies, they indeed held a greater appreciation for Bai Xing.
