"Are you not gonna log off?" Tina asked Michael, as they are the only users left in the camp.
"You go ahead first, Iâm gonna hang out here by myself first before logging off" Michael replied to her, while sitting on the ground and leaning against a tree, as groups of ten to twelve soldiers roamed around the campâs perimeter.
"Okay then" Tina said before she disappeared in front of him.
The NPCs werenât even perturbed or bothered that almost all of the users are gone now. It was because they were programmed that the users ability to disappear like that is normal. Itâs like how a movie would portray that aliens are good creatures that doesnât mean us harm, and wants to be our friends and good neighbor.
Michael didnât move but eyed his surroundings warily, his eyes moving from left to right. He immediately went into Stealth, and started to make his move, as his figure flashed through between the trees while avoiding the patrolling soldiers, not wanting to detected by them and finding out that heâs sneaking out from the camp.
His purpose? It was to finally get himself a brand new mount, and get his little pet rabbit a friend that it could play with!
Meanwhile.
"What do you think heâs planning to do?" General Ouki looked at his right hand man and said.
"He probably wants to go night hunting by himself or heâs planning to get a Blood Wolf Cub for himself" Shin replied.
Among the troops camped here, the two of them are the only people who managed to sensed that Michael had left the campground, and headed inside the blood wolves territory.
"Shall we do something General?" Shin asked while looking at the valiant general sitting in front of him.
"Let him be, we donât want to anger the person behind him" General Ouki said, remembering the faint mark of a four leaf clover that he saw in Michaelâs neck before.
"And if he plans to really capture a wolf cub, then heâs in for a huge surprise," he continued.
"Yes" Shin smiled, as he knew the difficulty of capturing the cub of a blood wolf, especially now that their population is still very large, and even a battle hardened soldiers like him already felt the chills running down his spine just thinking at the scenario of being chased by a pack of blood wolves numbering in the hundreds.
*****
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Michaelâs figure flashed between the trees, startling some of the small animals, as they woke up with a start.
Sniff! Sniff!
Michael stopped in his tracks and sniffed the air around him while leaning against a tree, "It smells...of nature"
âOf course it would smell like nature, what was I thinking? Itâs not like this is the real world where my sense of smell is half as good as a dog nowâ Michael thought with a laughed.
Michael picked up a pebble from the ground and threw it towards a specific direction.
Thud!
The pebble hit a huge rock, the size of an a.d.u.l.t man. Then Michael saw multiple pair of glowing eyes appear from the darkness a little bit of distance away from him.
Rustle! Rustle! Rustle!
A huge shadow came jumping out from its hiding spot and arrived at the clearing before it.
It was a huge wolf around one and a half meters in height and more or less four meters in length, and through the light of the moon, Michael noticed that the wolfâs fur has a few red stripes like a tiger around its body.
Blood Wolf
Level: 32
âHmm..now thatâs a level a monster should have whoâs living in the outer rim of the forestâ Michael thought, as he finally found their levels reasonable.
Due to the week of almost non stop fighting of monsters during their journey towards this place, Michael are just one of the few who gained three levels during the journey, pushing him to Level Twenty Nine. Literally making him the highest levelled player in the game so far.
After the first wolf walked out, another three more walked out from their den, but this time theyâre a bit smaller than the first one, where Michael immediately had the thought that the first one is probably the Alpha of this wolf den.
And the four wolves started growling with each other, like theyâre having a conversation of their own, and while they were busy talking amongst themselves. Michae once again quietly picked up something from the ground in front of him, and this time itâs a rock the size of a toddlers fist, and threw it a bit further away from the direction of the Wolf Den, which startled the four wolves.
Awoo!
Because of that, one of the wolves started howling towards the night sky, then the rest followed.
Awoo! Awoo! Awoo!
And suddenly, out of his expectations, Michael started hearing multiple wolves howling from a distance, like they are telling that they received their message or warning.
âThis wolves are too waryâ Michael thought when he saw that the wolves in front of his eyes are just walking around their den, warily looking at their surroundings, which forced Michael to lie down close to the ground to avoid detection.
But then Michael finally realized something, âI forgot that a large human troops are actually camping out just outside their homesâ
Michael frowned at that thought and finally decided to do something risky if Plan A doesntâ work.
âIt seems I need to sneak inside their denâ
After that, Michael waited for a couple of minutes before the pack finally determined that there are no threats in their surroundings and went back inside their den.
âI hope I donât die thoughâ Michael thought as he slowly stood up and warily looked around him in case thereâs a monster luring around and stalking him like a snake.
Michael doubled checked his skills and items before he stealthily made his way over to the den.
Moments later, Michael is leaning his shoulder back against the entrance of the wolf den, as he warily peeked his head out towards the hole that leads inside. Michael could hear the snoring and whining of the wolves sleeping inside, and the smell of feces wafting out from entrance.
âDammit, itâs too darkâ Michael cursed inside.
âGood thing I managed to get this skill while doing some quests back at Starlight Cityâ
There was suddenly a flash in Michaelâs eyes that occured for the less than a second before it disappeared.
âNow, I can at least see my way through the darkâ Michael mused, as his vision suddenly became clearer than earlier where he needed to carefully make his way through the darkness using only the light provided by the moon
Owlâs Vision
Allows the user to have a clearer vision in the darkness like an Owl.
It was a skill that Michael managed to get after killing a monster called Undead Owl.
It was an uncommon monster found in graveyards or places with a lot of dead bodies along the vicinity of Starlight City.
âNow then, letâs see if I can finally have my very first beast mountâ Michael smiled as he sneakily walked inside the wolfâs den.
