Chapter 326 - Dark Secrets [Happy New Year!]
"Huh, these group of brats are actually quite good"
Ragnar muttered to himself while looking at Shadow and the rest who are surrounding a golem made of rocks.
"I thought theyâd at least circle around the monsters that are stronger than them, but they actually had the guts to hunt them down, and their teamwork is quite superb"
Ragnar was really amazed at them as he had seen a lot of humans who had ventured here during the past couple hundreds of years, and not a lot of them are able to even live past a day in Snowy Forest.
Of course, at first, Ragnar didnât know that these group of humans are not like the humans he had seen before, instead, they are fearless towards death knowing that they wouldnât really die as they would just come back to life, and very unlike those humans, he had seen before.
But he slowly learned that during the past few days, they would suddenly disappear, then reappear again, and no matter what he tries to do, he canât seem to locate where they are when it happens and only knows that they would sprout like mushrooms from the place that they had disappeared from.
Shadow and the rest have been in the Snowy Forest for three days now. All they did was hunt monsters, eat, log off when they had enough, hunt, and eat. They did all that routine over and over again, but they werenât bored because they were leveling twice as fast as normal and that they getting good drops from the mobs.
But todayâs atmosphere in the camp is weird.

The sound of the knife cutting through the wooden chopping board sounded as Shadowâs knife work was so fast that the meat was cut into pieces in no time, something that even a skilled chef couldnât do in real life, which is something only possible in the game that even an amateur could go toe to toe with a real chef.

"So you guys are really planning to go back after you guys reach Level 45?" Shadow said as he struck the chopping board hard and looked at the people around him with all seriousness.
"Well, itâs getting boring now, weâre doing the same thing over and over again, and besides, we didnât follow you all the way here just to play the game like ordinary players. Itâs only because you piqued our curiosity, besides, what we want is something only this game can provide"
"Oh, what is it then old man? Just get to the point, geez" Cereal Killer said as he finally got enough of his constant blabber.
Being the one that acts like a lunatic that had just escaped from a mental hospital among them, Chakram didnât answer Cereal Killer and instead just grinned maliciously at Shadow, which creeped out Solitary Tempest and Cereal Killer that they even took a step back.
âShit, just as expected from a retired soldier. Is this what they call PSTD that some had even started becoming crazy because of it?â
Cereal Killer couldnât help but have that thought, and he even started to think if it was a wise choice to get close to this middle aged man in his forties who has a tendency to act like a crazy person.
The edge of Shadowâs mouth twitched as he felt annoyed, but he just gave a sigh in the end as this is inevitable.
After all, itâs not like he can even control them, right?
That would be just him asking for trouble if he does that, and itâs not like he can even defeat them with his current abilities, especially now that heâs not training his body every day as he wasnât that burdened anymore like he was in his past life where almost every day was fraught with dangers, where he was hungry for power to grow stronger and take revenge to his enemies.
But that doesnât mean that his enemies had long disappeared, it was just because he wasnât that person anymore where he didnât have anyone to rely on, or where he didnât have many people...dangerous people...he could ask for help.

Then Shadow turned towards Solitary Tempest as he was also not expecting her to leave with them.
Solitary Tempest just shrugged her shoulders and replied with an annoyed look, "Well, Tierra offered me a very tempting offer, and I already told you about it last night!"
Shadow could only laugh to himself while groaning as he couldnât believe these people.
"What about you, man?"
Shadow turned towards Cereal Killer who was whistling at the side, just minding his own business, like he was trying to avoid getting spotted by Shadow.

A knife suddenly flew towards the bushes and struck the head of a goblin hiding in the bushes, killing it immediately.
And the origin of that knife was from Shadow, whoâs currently wearing a menacingly dark expression on his face.
"Oi! You know that itâs only us here and I can see certainly notice you, right?" Shadow said with a darkened look when he saw that Cereal Killer is acting like he couldnât see or hear him at all while he took out another knife from his [Storage].
Taking out another piece of meat, Shadow continued chopping it calmly while looking at the others who just ignored him.
"Oi, if you continue ignoring me, then I wouldnât mind telling one of your dark secrets to Allison" Shadow suddenly said smiling like a devil while looking at Cereal Killer.
Cereal Killâs body shivered and his eyes flashed and turned his head towards Shadow, his face looks like an angry battle god, now glaring at Shadow.
Swoosh!
Cereal Killer quickly stood up and rushed towards Shadow and slammed his forehead against Shadowâs, his eyes directly glaring at him.
"You bastard, you wouldnât dare"
"Oh, I would, you as*hole. Who told you to leave me hanging here by myself?" Shadow grinned dangerously.
"Itâs because theyâre paying me fifteen thousand dollars for it, you as*hole" Cereal Killer grounded his teeth in anger, and he pushed his head towards Shadow.
"What? Youâre already earning more than that every month, you bastard!" Shadow glared back as he also pushed his forehead against his, the veins in their faces bulging outwards.
"So? Earning more money while Iâm young is a great and wise choice!"
"And did you think that Iâm the only one with a dirty secret?"
Both of them kept glaring at each other, but when Cereal Killer whispered the following words, Shadow was seriously bothered by it.
After all, even though Shadow wasnât really good at fighting a couple of years back then, but he was seriously a playboy back then whoâs good with words and had gotten laid countless times with numerous ladies of different ages except for ladies younger than him, and he had gotten laid with ladies around his age or women far older than him back then that it even amazed Cereal Killer, who started looking at his friend who looks like he could be blown away with a punch from him in a different light.
It was Shadowâs brightest and at the same time darkest days as he had gotten a lot of trouble because of it as almost half of those women were actually in another relationship with other men and he only learned all about it when trouble came knocking.
That is the reason why he and Dylan had gotten into a lot of fights back then...well, mostly Dylan, because he sucks at fighting and can only resort to fighting with a baseball bat.
And if Amanda learns about it, heâd certainly get into trouble as no woman whoâs looking for a serious relationship would want to stay with someone who might still have "connections" with those past women.
"Okay, I approve!"
Shadowâs expression suddenly changed into a bright look and slightly back away from Cereal Killer and gave him a thumbs-up with a large smile, but if one were to look closely, they would notice that the edge of his mouth is slightly twitching.
Storm Moonlight, Moniker, Chakram, and Black Sparrow glanced at Shadow from the corner of their eyes and scoffed.
While Solitary Tempest had a confused but intrigued look on her face, as she wondered what Cereal Killer whispered to him that Shadowâs attitude towards him suddenly changed, and quickly made a mental note to herself to ask Cereal Killer about it later.
