Chapter 77 - 76: Give Him a Little Surprise

Wen Ci had a keen ear for voices and could identify someone after hearing them just once. Her gaze fell on Xue Li, who was jogging toward her holding several food containers. Her eyes curved into a smile. "Are you heading to the cafeteria to get food?"

Xue Li pouted. "Getting it for someone else."

As he spoke, his gaze fell on the insulated container in Wen Ci’s hands, and his eyes lit up. "Ma’am, are you bringing this for Brother Huo?"

"But it seems he’s out on a mission again?"

Xue Li said, "But Brother Huo’s mission is right here in the military camp."

After a moment’s hesitation, Xue Li decided to escort Wen Ci into the military camp himself. Ever since the incident with Doctor Su entering a building without authorization, the entire camp had been placed under high alert.

No one without military status was allowed to enter.

Unless someone personally escorted them in.

"Ma’am, let me take you inside."

Wen Ci shook her head. "How about you take it in for me instead?"

"No way." Xue Li shook his head even more vigorously. ’If Brother Huo finds out that his wife came to deliver food, only for me to be the one who brought it to him... he’d skin me alive!’
