In the shadows, Song Qingshu wore a peculiar expression.
Wanyan Liangâs preferences were certainly⊠unique. If not for their fundamental conflicts of interest, he might have even wanted to exchange some insights with him.
However, Song Qingshu was well aware that this was just a fleeting thought. Unlike himself, Wanyan Liang had absolutely no scruples or moral bottom line. From the scattered information he had gathered in his past life, he knew that Wanyan Liang had been nothing but a depraved, insatiable maniac from beginning to end.
âIâm at most flirtatious, but you⊠youâre downright despicable,â
Song Qingshu reminded himself repeatedly of the essential difference between them, only then managing to shake off the eerie sense of similarity.
At that moment, Wanyan Liang issued a new order: âTake Hero Guo to the dungeon and guard him well. Also, I must trouble you all to be extra vigilant.â
Ouyang Feng sneered. âRest assured, this couple has brought me endless suffering. I will never let anyone rescue him.â
Wanyan Liang smiled faintly. âWith Master Ouyangâs assurance, I can rest easy.â With that, he turned to Qiu Qianren and the others. âI will also ask for your assistance, Master Qiu.â
âAs you command, Your Highness.â Unlike the proud and independent Ouyang Feng, Qiu Qianren had long since pledged allegiance to Wanyan Liang. He had no trace of a true masterâs dignity and fawned over Wanyan Liang with excessive flattery.
Wanyan Liang did not assign Yang Guo to guard Guo Jing. Despite his depravity, he was still one of the most talented figures in the Jin Empire and could see the inner turmoil in Yang Guo. He feared that Yang Guo might act recklessly, so he deliberately assigned him another task to send him far away.
Yang Guo was extremely perceptive and immediately saw through Wanyan Liangâs intentions. However, he also worried that if he stayed and witnessed Guo Jingâs suffering, his resolve might waver. Without protest, he accepted the mission.
Observing from the shadows, Song Qingshu pondered in silence. Although he and Ouyang Feng were somewhat old acquaintances, given Ouyang Fengâs deep-seated hatred for Guo Jing and Huang Rong, he was unlikely to show Song Qingshu any favor in this matter. If he forced a rescue, he would have to face three top-tier masters at once, along with countless elite warriorsâŠ
Shaking his head, Song Qingshu immediately dismissed this unrealistic plan. His martial arts were formidable, but he had not yet reached the level where he could disregard someone like Ouyang Feng. Furthermore, Guo Jing was in their handsâif things went south, they could take his life in an instant. With such a hostage situation, his chances of success were close to zero.
As Song Qingshu deliberated, the people in the courtyard gradually dispersed. Guo Jing was taken away by Ouyang Feng and the others. Seeing the cruel smile on Ouyang Fengâs lips, Song Qingshu knew that Guo Jing would inevitably endure severe t0rture. However, there was nothing he could doâGuo Jing would have to rely on his own resilience.
Now, only Wanyan Liang and Murong Bo remained in the courtyard. With a smirk, Wanyan Liang eyed the latter. âI wonder if I should address you as Monk Li or as Master Murong?â
Murong Boâs expression tensed. Having spent so much time by Wanyan Liangâs side, he understood all too well how ruthless and treacherous this man was. He hurriedly explained, âYour Highness, I never intended to deceive you. The Murong family has many enemies. I faked my death years ago to escape them, so it is inconvenient for me to reveal my true identity now.â
Wanyan Liang nodded. âI donât care what your motives are, nor do I have the patience to concern myself with them. As long as you serve me wholeheartedly, you will receive benefits beyond your imagination.â
âOf course, Your Highness. Please rest assured,â Murong Bo replied. Though he held a prestigious position in the martial world, Wanyan Liang was second only to the emperor in the Jin Empire. Compared to the power of an entire nation, personal martial prowess was insignificant. The two were not even on the same level. Thus, Murong Bo displayed no discontent at Wanyan Liangâs words.
âSince you have your own concerns, you may continue using the identity of Monk Li.â Wanyan Liang was satisfied with Murong Boâs attitude. Once he had finished making all the necessary arrangements, a sudden heat surged through his body. Even the biting cold wind outside could not dispel it.
He knew the source of this burning desireâHuang Rong had ignited it within him. Unfortunately, she was still out of reach for now. However, there was another enchanting and passionate woman waiting within this very estate!
Thinking of Madame Tangâs soft and supple b0dy, Wanyan Liangâs eyes gleamed with excitement. In order to ambush Guo Jing, he had come to Kaifeng and had not appeared before Madame Tang for quite some time. Now that the dust had settled, he had no further reservations. He was determined to vent all his pent-up lu*st on that seductive w0man.
âCome with me,â Wanyan Liang ordered Murong Bo before turning to leave. Though he was going to meet an old lover, his inherently cautious nature remained unchanged. Along with his numerous personal guards, he still wanted a top-tier martial artist by his side.
Seeing Wanyan Liangâs flushed face and hurried steps, Song Qingshu was briefly stunned before quickly realizing his intent. The direction Wanyan Liang was headingâMadame Tangâs room!
Recalling the information Madame Tang had previously shared with him, a flash of murderous intent flickered in Song Qingshuâs eyes. His figure blurred and vanished from the spot.

Inside her room, Madame Tang had been jolted awake earlier by the sounds of fighting outside. She had intended to step out and investigate, but she soon realized that all the guards outside her door had been replaced. These men had strict orders forbidding her from leaving, leaving her feeling increasingly anxious.
She recognized some of the guards, though she couldnât recall their names. However, she knew they were Wanyan Liangâs personal soldiers. Her face turned deathly pale.
Having spent the last few days with Song Qingshu, she had tasted the true joy of being a woman and had already cast Wanyan Liang out of her mind. She had hoped she would never have to deal with that devil again, but to her horror, he had returned so soon.
Her biggest concern, however, was not herself but Song Qingshu. Even if she was once again vi0lated by Wanyan Liang, she could force herself to treat it like being bitten by a wild dog. But she knew that Song Qingshu would never tolerate such an event. And with so many powerful experts surrounding Wanyan Liang, if a conflict erupted, Song Qingshu would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage.
As she was lost in fearful thoughts, the door creaked open.
Madame Tang looked up, her heart instinctively clenching. The long-absent devil had once again appeared before her.
âMadame, itâs been a while. Have you missed me?â Wanyan Liang closed the door behind him and shamelessly let his gaze roam over her voluptuous figure.
