Beside this half-meter-high stone pillar, twelve Dragon Horns from Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons were embedded in another special, four-meter-high stone pillar!
As Elf Legion Commander Feiyana approached, she could still feel the draconic might, even though it had been weakened by a Magic Array.
Feiyana carefully examined the twelve Dragon Horns from the Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons.
Seeing how the Dragon Horns had been severed and driven into the stone pillar,
Feiyana deduced that the Dragon Horns must have been sliced off by an incredibly sharp weapon.
As for where the Dragon Horns of these Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons came from?
From what Feiyana had learned from the Great God of Nature, within this entire Small Magic Plane,
the only likely source was the Beastmen.
Some of the more powerful Beastman Tribes would tame Sub-dragons with diluted Dragon Blood,
such as wyverns, earth tyrant dragons, and thorn dragons...
Even Clans like the Kobolds and Lizardmen might have traces of diluted Dragon Blood in their veins!
But considering the strength of the Elves in this Neutral Elf City,
Feiyana was certain they couldnât have killed a Thunder Attribute Sub-dragon and taken its horns on their own.
These treasures must have been brought by the Elves when they fled their original Elf Main City.
They must have placed them here after establishing this Neutral Elf City.
And Elf Legion Commander Feiyanaâs reasoning was sound.
If the Elf Elders were still present, they certainly wouldnât have let their treasures be stored here.
But if these were treasures left behind by a deceased Elf Elder that were later discovered and added to the public coffers,
or perhaps they belonged to an Elf Elder who was ostracized for favoring the small Elf Tribe to the south,
and couldnât take their belongings,
itâs possible they were later discovered and sent to this treasury...
The origin no longer mattered.
Elf Legion Commander Feiyana looked at the Celestial Tribulation Thunder Gold and the twelve Dragon Horns from the Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons.
âHer thoughts, however, turned to the Great God of Nature!â
âThe last time they presented three crafted weapons to the Great God of Nature,â
âhe didnât accept them. Instead, he gave them three even more powerful Semi-Divine Artifacts.â
âBut the reason the Great God of Nature hadnât accepted them surely wasnât because their Clanâs gesture lacked sincerity.â
âOtherwise, the Great God of Nature wouldnât have strengthened the three weapons and returned them.â
âThe quality of the weapons must have been too low.â
âEven if the Great God of Nature had them, he would have no use for them.â
âThatâs why he strengthened them and gave them back.â
âSo this time...â
âcould these materials be used to forge an even more powerful weapon for the Great God of Nature?â
âOne that the Great God of Nature would actually accept?â
Once this idea took root in Elf Legion Commander Feiyanaâs mind, it refused to leave.
âThe last time the Divine Realm went on an expedition, the Great God of Nature seemed very pleased when he found a Thunder Attribute Talent Crystal in a Golden Treasure Chest.â
âDoes that mean the Great God of Nature prefers Thunder Attribute weapons?!â
âIf I give this Celestial Tribulation Thunder Gold and the twelve Dragon Horns from the Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons to a Dwarf Blacksmith,â
âand have them forge a Thunder Attribute weapon to give to the Great God of Nature,â
âhe should be pleased when he finds out, right?â
At this thought, a smile even graced Elf Legion Commander Feiyanaâs usually cold face.
Putting thought into action,
Elf Legion Commander Feiyana retrieved the Celestial Tribulation Thunder Gold, which was still arcing with crackling electricity, and the twelve Dragon Horns from the Thunder Attribute Sub-dragons.
She had the nearby guards store them carefully, to be sent back to the Divine Realm.
Meanwhile, the other Elf Soldiers Feiyana trusted began to take inventory of the treasures under her command.
"Found a drop of the Water of Life here!"
"Found a Shadow Gemstone here!"
"Found a magical legacy here! The legacy of an Enchanter!"
"Found a..."
A steady stream of precious materials was cataloged.
Feiyanaâs adjutant, standing beside her, acted as a temporary quartermaster, recording the number of treasures in the vault.
"We found something special over here!"
"Itâs bound by a Triple Magic Array and has a layer of physical protection, too!"
"It looks incredibly valuable, but also incredibly dangerous!"
Suddenly, an Elf Warrior discovered something unusual.
It was a Magic Cabinet forged from the sturdiest Magic Metal, with a Triple Magic Array inscribed upon it.
One look was enough to know that the contents were extremely precious.
Otherwise, it wouldnât have so many layers of protection.
But it was also likely very dangerous.
Because the Elf Mage accompanying the team had already identified the Magic Arrays etched onto the Magic Metal Cabinet: Magic Absorption, Magic Conversion, and a Reinforcement Array!
These three Magic Arrays were interlinked.
The Magic Absorption array was responsible for siphoning the Magic Power from whatever was inside the Magic Metal Cabinet.
The Magic Conversion array would then transform that siphoned Magic Power into a usable form for the other arrays, feeding it to the Reinforcement Array.
This ensured the Reinforcement Array had a constant supply of Magic Power to strengthen the entire cabinet.
Such a feat of craftsmanship was beyond any ordinary Magic Array Master.
They could never create it.
Inscribing a single Magic Array was something any ordinary Elf Mage could do, given enough time.
But to have three Magic Arrays interconnected so seamlessly, as if they were one,
was far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary Elf Mage.
Even someone with a Talent for being a Mage couldnât inscribe something like this without a specific Talent for being an Array Master.
That was why the Elf Mage who found it was so cautious. He never considered trying to break the cabinet open with brute force.
Instead, he presented it to Elf Legion Commander Feiyana for her decision.
Elf Legion Commander Feiyana didnât understand the intricacies of Magic Arrays,
but after hearing this from her most skilled Elf Mage, she dismissed any thought of opening the cabinet on the spot.
"Send this Magic Metal Cabinet back to the Divine Realm. We will let the Great God of Nature deal with it!"
Hearing Elf Legion Commander Feiyanaâs decision, the other Elves breathed a collective sigh of relief.
At the same time, they marveled at the wisdom of their Legion Commander.
Just then, however, a thought occurred to Elf Legion Commander Feiyana.
âIf only an Elf familiar with this Neutral Elf City would appear now and guide us, that would be perfect!â
Just as Elf Legion Commander Feiyana was handing over the task of inventorying the treasuryâs Magic Resources to her adjutant,
and this very thought had just crossed her mind,
a commotion suddenly erupted from above the treasury.
A moment later, a soldier from the Elf Corps came down and reported to the Legion Commander:
"Legion Commander, a group of Elves just appeared."
"One of them, an Elf named Rethof, claims to be the commander of this Neutral Elf Cityâs Guard Army."
"He wishes to surrender to us!"
"Whatâs more, he says heâs very familiar with this Neutral Elf City and knows a thing or two about where the various Elf Elders have hidden their treasures!"
Hearing the soldierâs report, Elf Legion Commander Feiyana raised an eyebrow, clearly interested.
"Send him down. Alone."
"Yes!"
the Elf Soldier replied.
