Wang Zhifanâs hunt in the Rogge Town ruins lasted from late night until nearly dawn. During this time, he acquired more than twenty pieces of peculiar rare equipment and collected many gold coins. He even discovered the corpses of two players killed by elite monsters, but these players didnât have good equipment on them, so he gained nothing from them.
Now, a new day had fully arrived. The sun shone through the clouds, illuminating the entire Rogge Town ruins. Many monsters seemed to fear the sunlight and hid within sheltered buildings. Wang Zhifan, unable to find more valuable monsters, stepped onto the path leaving the basin town.
He quickly summoned his Red Deer Horse and rode it to a nearby wilderness. Then, he reached an inconspicuous spot covered by stones, where he used his extraordinary strength to move the large rock on the ground and entered a small underground space. Inside was a man in blood-stained luxurious clothing who remained motionless on the ground, seemingly still unconscious.
"Stop pretending, I know youâre already awake."
The reason for seeking Mr. Rogen was that Wang Zhifan, through secretly monitoring him with the Dream Me Avatar, knew that he had been awake for some time and had attempted to escape. Unfortunately, his belongings had been scavenged by Wang Zhifan, leaving him too weak to move the large stone and escape. Even if he did, the Dream Me Avatar would knock him out again.
"I said stop pretending, otherwise Iâll whip you. If youâre willing to communicate well, I might consider letting you go."
When Mr. Rogen continued to feign unconsciousness after the first call, Wang Zhifan warned him again and offered some tempting conditions.
Sure enough, under such coercion and temptation, Mr. Rogen, imprisoned in this underground pit, quickly opened his eyes and said:
"Are you serious? If youâre willing to let me go, Iâll offer valuable equipment from our Rogge Clanâs treasure vault."
"Oh? Where is your clanâs treasure vault?"
Seeing Mr. Rogen looking very forlorn now, yet mentally different from the previous nightâno longer with a lifeless appearanceâWang Zhifan replied with interest.
"In Frost Harbor."
Seeing that the young man in front of him, clearly far superior in strength, appeared interested in his proposal, Mr. Rogen, covered in blood stains and dust, quickly replied.
"If youâre willing to let me return, I will introduce you to the master in Frost Harbor. There, you can customize treasure-level equipment that perfectly suits you."
Mr. Rogen continued to tempt Wang Zhifan.
"Hmm... an interesting proposal... I will consider it."
Upon hearing the manâs words, Wang Zhifan remained calm, making it hard for Mr. Rogen to gauge his thoughts.
"Are you hungry? Do you want some water?"
Suddenly, Wang Zhifan unexpectedly asked Mr. Rogen, who was expectantly faced toward him.
Mr. Rogenâs face froze momentarily at this, a hint of confusion in his eyes. But after two seconds, he nodded and replied:
"I do need to replenish some energy... but as long as you let me go, these are minor issues."
He still insisted on escaping this confinement as soon as possible.
"Donât worry, I will let you go, but not today."
Wang Zhifan then smiled slightly at his deliberately uneliminated enemy and replied.
"Stay here safely for a few days. When the time comes, Iâll naturally set you free."
After speaking, he turned and walked out of the pit, then pushed the massive stone back in place outside, ensuring Mr. Rogen had no chance of escaping.
Throughout this process, Mr. Rogen in the pit struggled internally several times but did nothing impulsive because he knew that resisting such a powerful young man who imprisoned him was futile and would only invite harsh punishment.
After conversing with Mr. Rogen, Wang Zhifan rode the Red Deer towards Lionâs Eye Camp, leaving this place under the secret watch of the Dream Me Avatar.
There wasnât much to say about this journey. Since he stopped looking for high-value monsters along the way, he allowed the Red Deer to sprint for a few minutes, arriving quickly and stealthily entering Lionâs Eye Camp.
Why he chose to come here was actually due to two reasons: to further inquire about some information and, incidentally, to buy some bread and water for Mr. Rogen, to prevent him from dying due to inadequate care, which could cause unexpected issues.
Although he had plenty of stored food in his personal space, those were prepared for himself, so he wouldnât share them with Mr. Rogen.
Before long, after entering Lionâs Eye Camp successfully, Wang Zhifan arrived at the place he intended to inquire for information, the blacksmithâs workshop that left a deep impression on him during his first visit.
Upon his arrival, the white-bearded muscular old man in the blacksmithâs workshop was already working. He was currently using a small hammer to forge a short weapon blank, which appeared to be a dagger by its shape.
"Haha, young man, youâve been watching me smith for a while. Are you perhaps interested in learning this craft?"
