Is there someone?
Su Changxing turned in response and saw a person in a light red hospital gown standing behind them, with long hair that made it hard to tell their gender.
The style of the hospital gown looked very out of place, as if warning of danger or giving some kind of alert.
The battle was in chaos.
He hadnât noticed anyoneâs arrival before, which was unusual, and it seemed that his instincts didnât alert him either.
"Boom~"
A booming sound erupted.
Su Changxing decisively fired at this person, who had somehow appeared, the bullet blazing from the gun muzzle, weaving through the space of shadows and light.
The bullet from the revolver was fast, so fast that even an Extraordinary couldnât react quickly at close range.
"Bang~"
The wall exploded into a big crater, raising dust.
The person in the red hospital gown remained unharmed, standing quietly in place, their eyes seemingly carrying a mocking intent.
Su Changxingâs heart sank, he clearly saw the bullet flying past the red-clad figure, who didnât move at all.
This shot should have been precise...
So did the position of the opponent change, or did the position of the bullet change?
Suddenly.
The red-clad figureâs face cracked into a smile, their emaciated hand reaching forward, extinguishing the wall-mounted candles, plunging the entire space into darkness with only distant light shining through.
Su Changxing possessed strong night vision abilities, so this pitch-black environment didnât affect him much.
Immediately, he noticed faint light behind the red-clad figure as well.
However.
There should have been a wall behind the red-clad figure, originally no way through, a wall theyâd descended upon.
A four or five meter wide arched passage appeared behind the red-clad figure, with evenly spaced portraits hanging on the walls, like some kind of exhibit hall.
The surrounding space abruptly changed, like frames of an old movie, with scenes similar to a PPT flipping slowly.
Su Changxingâs pupils contracted, the opponentâs ability was beyond imagination, similar to the happenings on the townâs outskirts, and it seemed this red-clad figure might be the source of such phenomena.
But isnât this ability a bit unfair, and the information provided by the âTrue Knowledgeâ seemed odd.
[Deviation Mole: This is its home, so the space here has been modified, somewhat bizarre.]
Deviation Mole?
This person unexpectedly wasnât an Extraordinary, but some other entity.
The head remarked with a hint of surprise: "There are actually such things here."
Su Changxing asked, "Is he still human?"
The head ambiguously answered:
"Could be considered so, or maybe not, kind of like a person who was given the attribute of an object, well, a person who is an object. So he could also be considered a Mysterious Item, ha, similar to that thing at the crazy womanâs place before."
Su Changxing paused, then said, "Are you referring to the thing at the Lady of the Houseâs place?"
An image flashed in his mind, a dazed woman dressed in tattered white, standing in a corner with only one foot.
The head gave a strange laugh: "Haha, exactly her... Kid, I advise you to leave immediately; this oneâs self-awareness seems stronger, which means itâs more dangerous."
Su Changxing felt a bit of a headache, uncertain about what to do; these things seemed all very strange, and that white-clad woman at the Lady of the Houseâs place definitely had strength above Tier Eight, but she didnât seem to attack actively, following some sort of rule.
Presumably, the red-clad figure should be the same!
The surrounding clamor suddenly diminished.
Zhou An, holding a shiny silver knife, approached Su Changxing, shouting:
"Brother Su, some people suddenly vanished, including those Hunters."
Su Changxing glanced around, the people in the corridor were now only half of the original, around thirty or so, Zhu Wenwu, Geng Yong, and Qian Runwei were also gone.
The red-clad figure remained motionless, merely observing them, seemingly just a spectator.
"This is the work of that person, right."
Zhou An also realized it might have been due to the red-clad figure, raising his hand to throw his knife at it.
Su Changxing immediately stopped him: "Donât, letâs first deal with those Hunters, Zhu Wenwu and the others might be in trouble already."
He realized the earlier change could have been caused by his attack on the red-clad figure.
The Hunters left here were now about ten, not many, which meant more Hunters were on Zhu Wenwu and othersâ side.
Previously they could suppress these Hunters entirely because of Su Changxingâs presence, and now being split into two battlefields suggested Zhu Wenwu and the othersâ situation wasnât optimistic.
The sudden situation left both sides a bit perplexed, but it didnât halt the battle.
There remained an upper-rank Hunter on the scene.
Su Changxing fired at him with the "M991 Wolf Fang" from a distance.
"Boom~"
The person had been watching Su Changxingâs movements, dodging the moment the shot was fired, narrowly avoiding the bullet in a bizarre posture.
Su Changxing charged towards him, intending to deliver a point-blank shot to quickly end the fight.
As long as he dealt with the sole upper-rank Hunter here, the rest were as good as defeated, the others could handle them without him.
Seeing this, the person didnât hesitate, turning to flee, shouting, "Run, his weaponâs too deadly, weâre no match."
The Huntersâ morale was already on the brink of collapse, hearing this caused the others to turn and flee.
Within two breaths, Su Changxing caught up behind the person, estimating the distance, fired a shot at his back.
Though a headshot was more lethal, the bodyâs area was larger, making it easier to hit, so with enough lethality, aiming for the body was the better choice.
He was certain this shot would hit; at this distance, the opponent couldnât dodge with their speed.
"Boom~"
The solid wall erupted into a large hole.
Su Changxing halted, staring at the wall which had suddenly appeared in front of him, stunned.
Rather than suddenly appearing, it was more like they had changed locations.
The air was damp and cold, rusty pipes lined the walls, and water dripped from pipe joints.
More than half of the Hunters were gone, leaving about four or five, while only a dozen people remained on Su Changxingâs side, the red-clad figure had also vanished.
The situation had spun out of their control.
"Kill them."
Su Changxing shouted, unflinchingly rushing at the nearest Hunter with knife in hand, determined to eliminate the immediate threat.
Facing such circumstances, the others were also terrified and confused, but with Su Changxingâs orders, they quickly resumed the assault, besieging the remaining Hunters.
