Da Fei handed the Nightmare Crystal to Elda: "I used this to teleport back here. What do you think of this thing?"
Elda exclaimed, "Good stuff! Is it for me?"
Oh geez! Da Fei hurriedly said, "No, no! Itās really not a gift, I have a big use for it!"
Elda laughed, "The moment I saw this thing, I felt a very tempting feeling. I thought it was the City Lord trying to win me over again."
Win you over? Itās because youāre a barmaid whoās never picky, come on. Da Fei chuckled dryly, "I heard itās the divine level of a Banshee of the Lilim level. What do you think?"
Elda, just like Hilda, stared seriously at the crystal for quite a while: "The possibility is very high. Lilim inherited the traits of her mother Lilith, seducing humans and harming children. Everything associated with childrenās toys in this Nightmare Space proves this point. This means that the former owner of this Nightmare Space was Lilim, and we canāt rule out the possibility that she might counterattack at any time. We must prepare to meet the challenge."
Da Fei nodded, "I heard that a hero of the human royal family named William, during his childhood, had his soul sealed in this space. Can you find him?"
Elda was taken aback and then exclaimed with surprise, "A royal hero? This is a big deal! The City Lord should seize the opportunity to seek assistance from the royal family! Moreover, the soul of a hero is very important, and the Demons will certainly keep it well-preserved, not to mention itās the hero of the royal family. How can we possibly accomplish this with our own strength alone?"
Da Fei was stunned! Oh geez, you hit the nail on the head! Worthy of being appointed as Deputy City Lord by me, weāre on the same wavelength!
Da Fei said with delight, "Thatās exactly what I intended, but Iāve been too busy sailing to handle this matter. Iāve come back specifically to figure out how to implement it! So, Miss Elda, what assistance do we urgently need?"
Elda replied without hesitation, "Transportation here is inconvenient, and transporting troops and resources is not very meaningful, especially since there is the Angel Army in Divine Punishment City to support us, which isnāt urgently needed. I just want to know, how does City Lord plan to develop this Nightmare Space? The assistance we urgently need is to accelerate the development of this Nightmare Space!"
She pointed to the small stone island in the sea of fire below, "Itās slightly bigger than a few days ago, but the speed is too slow!"
Da Fei looked down and agreed. Yes, itās slightly bigger than a few days ago, but still not enough to build a house on. At this moment, three Demon Race carters were feverishly digging in this tiny space.
Da Fei was puzzled, "What are they doing?"
Elda cleared her throat, "Of course, theyāre mining! Like I said, this place is a product of the spirit world, and its resources all contain divine power. So our top priority is to make this island grow quickly. Itās too barren here, not even a place large enough to stand."
Da Fei nodded, "I see, since everything in the Nightmare Space is a product of materialized imagination, my development method is simple. Iāll bring an artist into this space, have them draw some realistic or imaginary paintings, take them back to teach children, and let the children dream about this world through painting."
Elda clapped and laughed, "Worthy of the City Lord! Itās remarkable that a mortal can comprehend the essence of this space so early, and even more remarkable that these children can dream about this space so devotedly. So, the assistance that needs to be applied for by the City Lord is very simple: use the power of the royal family to mobilize more children to dream about this space and contribute to its development! This is the greatest and most urgently needed assistance mortals can offer us!"
Da Feiās brow twitched with astonishment. Oh geez! You totally get me, thinking about what leadership hadnāt considered yet! As the royal guardian whose abilities are sealed, itās not much to ask for this small task, right? Alright, Iāll go and meet with Duke William, whom I originally didnāt have time to see.
Da Fei exclaimed with joy, "Exactly! Thatās the effect Iām aiming for. Letās just go big and have all the children in the country learn painting!"
Elda clapped and laughed, "What a grand gesture! Although not every child can dream of this place with such devotion, the advantage lies in numbers. So, City Lord, time is tight, youād better get started quickly!"
Thatās right, 38 minutes left, I must get this done back and forth!
No time to greet the other Guardian Angels on the board, Da Fei dashed straight through the space portal. Divine Punishment City was reached.
At the moment, Divine Punishment City Square was empty. Little Fang, Little Li, and their leader were not around. Da Fei checked the friend list; they hadnāt logged off. Seems like they went down the mountain for leveling and monster hunting. Itās fine that theyāre not here. Even though I disguised myself, itās better not to be seen by acquaintances. But itās past midnight now; they shouldnāt be too immersed in the game.
Without further thought, Da Fei entered the teleportation hall. Under the surprised and speechless gaze of Angel Leader Sazer, in a flash of light, he teleported to the backyard of the Saint Paul Knight Order.
Have to say, this disguise is really quite a pain. As a man with a long head of silver hair, itās too attention-grabbing. No way, better find a clothing store to buy a set of outfits, or simply buy a full-body cloak.
Items must not be purchased in this city. Better go to a Church City with almost no players to buy them.
After a round of circuitous teleports, five minutes later, Da Fei, dressed in a white, dignified priestās full-body cloak, teleported to the square of Buck Town, a northern town of the Lionheart Empire near the Elf Kingdom border, under Duke Williamās territory.
The square was surrounded by stalls run by players, selling local specialties like antler velvet, deerskin, venison, bearskin, and bear paws. While Da Feiās appearance was strikingly white, being an NPC didnāt attract the playersā attention. Not bad, thatās the effect I wanted. Being an NPC is great.
Da Fei opened the map and saw that the Duke didnāt live in the town but at Elk Manor outside the town. And Elk Manor, oh geez, is deep in the remote wilderness! Thereās no coach station directly there, are you living as a reclusive prince or something? Are you deliberately trying to make things difficult for me?
Do I have enough time for a round trip plus the meeting? If timeās too short, Iāll just find a place to commit suicide and return to town.
Just as Da Fei was about to set off, a large flash of white light appeared in the square, and dozens of players appeared sitting on the ground.
Then the town channel was filled with cursing: "Damn it, the trash guild āMad Godā is clearing the field and taking over the boss!"
"Mad God Guild scum, I &%ļæ„#*..."
ā [City Channel] [Mad God Shitian]: Our guild notified in advance, tonight from 12:00 till 5:00 in the morning, the area north of the Black Forest River is our guildās work zone and work hours. Itās you who donāt respect our guild, so weāll teach you a lesson in a second!"
...
Oh geez! Mad God Guild? Since when did this small-time guild pop up! Such a remote little town and itās this much trouble.
Da Fei looked at the map in frustration, and unfortunately, the Black Forest River happens to run through the road to Elk Manor, with a specific Black Forest Wooden Bridge marked on the map, which coincidentally is the territories just claimed by this little guild.
Da Fei felt even more frustrated. Alright, Iām an NPC, guess you wonāt dare to mess with me!
