Chapter 11: Living Arrangements
Yuna quickly used the Henge to transform into her adult form and left the hotel.
âFirst step: Getting rid of the stalkers. Shouldnât be too hard since they are clearly underestimating me.â
Yuna walked towards the crowded street which should make it much easier to get rid of the two people following her.
âThis time the puppet is following me huh? Not really surprising, I guess. Why would he keep watch over someone that only stays inside the hotel room? Oh well, whether itâs one or two doesnât really matter if they donât work together.â
Yuna casually strolled into a side street and as soon as she turns around the corner she uses the henge again. This time she transformed into a big man with wide shoulders and a bald head. The more jarring the contrast the longer it will take for her pursuers to realize the situation. Of course, as soon as they realize whatâs going on, they will understand that she transformed again and will very likely remember what her transformation looked like. Unfortunately, at that point in time, Yuna will already have changed again, making it pretty much impossible to keep track of her movements. Whoever assigned these people to follow her probably didnât think that they need someone that specializes in tracking to follow around a three-year-old and even if they did, another 5 transformations in different parts of the village should be enough for now.
She currently looked like a woman in her 30s with curly brown hair and brown eyes. Yuna decided to stay in this form to sign the rental agreement of her future flat. After a bit of searching around, she found the correct place and casually signed a 1-year contract for 30k Ryo a month. She didnât care too much about it since she will get a better place as soon as she starts making money. Considering she started out with about 50k Ryo she doesnât have enough money for the payment next month, however, Yuna is confident to have some income by then.
âNext step: library.â
After arriving in the library, she quickly realized that only full-fledged ninjas of Konoha are allowed to read jutsu scrolls which was a bit of a pity, but not really surprising. The first thing she grabbed was a book about Konohaâs history, however, just after finishing the first page she quickly put it back where she found it.
âHoly hell, I understand spreading propaganda that this village is the greatest, but the author of that book had reached a point that very obviously reached the level of fanatism for the First Hokage. Oh well, just a bad apple. They canât all be like that.â
*2 hours later.*
âThey are all like this, arenât they? Considering they even carved his face into a mountain I probably shouldnât even be surprised by it. Guess I will put the research of Konohaâs history on the back burner for now. Iâm not ready yet to chew through all that propaganda.â
While searching for books about Konoha, Yuna made another rather interesting discovery.
âWhy are they not restricting access to books about sealing?â
[Pretty sure itâs because sealing is a really complex art. It is possible that even after years of training it, you still canât create a properly working seal. So rather than learning how sealing works most shinobi would rather spend their time learning more jutsu. Now that the Uzumaki clan is gone, Fujinjutsu can probably be considered a lost art with only very few people of older generations knowing how to do it.]
âThat was quite a lot of information from you. I thought you donât know anything about stuff that concerns ninjas.â
[If you spent almost a hundred years sealed inside people that at least could be considered Masters at Fuinjutsu you pick up a thing or to]
âThatâs true, I guess. Oh well, good for me. Time to find out how seals in this world work. I still have to get you out of that cage after all.â
Yuna quickly collected everything she could find about sealing resulting in her buying a total amount of 4 books. Which quite frankly was just pitiful.
âNext step: Finding out whatâs popular. Considering the library has a list with its 10-bestselling books that should be pretty easy. I swear, if the first place is something like âThe biography of Hashirama Senjuâ, I will burn this building to the groundâ
Luckily for the building, the biography only managed to reach second place, while the first place was something called âIcha Icha Paradiseâ. After looking through the library for a moment Yuna quickly found a copy and started speed reading it. After just an hour of reading, she stopped. She almost started laughing out loud when she realized what kind of book she was currently holding.
âAs expected, no matter how much propaganda you spread at the end of the day there is nothing more popular than porn. Well, calling this porn might be not exactly right. I guess smut is more accurate.â
[GHAHAHAHA serves that Hashirama bastard right. Hailed by everyone as the God of Shinobi yet a little porno book is more popular than him.]
âHehe indeed, but this makes it really easy for me to make some money. If it is about porn, I am confident that no one is my match, whether it is this life or the last one.â
[Not sure if that really is something to be proud about, but good for you I guess.]
âIndeed. Now I just need to get some paper and a pen and Iâm good to go. If porn is the number one bestseller anyway then it should at least be my porn.â
After buying herself a pen, paper, and some food for Naruto and herself, Yuna made her way back to the hotel room where Naruto was still busy training his chakra control. He has already managed one finger and is currently working on the second without even noticing that he pretty much has been training the whole day.
Meanwhile, the guard that was usually following around Yuna was in the Hokageâs office to report what had happened.
âHaa, I can understand why you taught her the Henge no Jutsu, but how in the world did a little kid manage to lose a trained ANBU?â
âI apologize Hokage-sama. She was much craftier with the Henge than I expected and I have never thought that she would try to shake me off. It was my fault that I wasnât paying enough attention to her.â
After hearing his ANBUâs explanation Hiruzen could only sigh. Could he really blame his ANBU for this? Who would give their everything when tailing a little girl inside of Konoha?
âItâs fine, just be more careful next time. Since her brother hasnât left the hotel room, I doubt she will stay away for long. From the reports I read she is fiercely protective of him after all.â
âHai! Thank you for your forgiveness Hogake-sama. What am I supposed to do about the other matter?â
âThe so-called puppet huh?â
âAre you sure you canât detect its presence?â
âYes, Hogake-sama. Both of us tried to find it, but couldnâtâ
Another sigh escaped the Hokageâs lips.
âIs she just making up random nonsense? No, I doubt it. How else could she know about the person having no emotions? That is not something that can just be guessed. Just how powerful are her sensory skills? Is her brother like this as well? She seems to be surprisingly crafty for a three-year-old. Should I just âcoincidentlyâ meet her and have a chat with her. That might be interesting. For now, however, there is something else I need to do. *Sigh* This will be annoying.â
âPlease call Danzo here, then you are dismissed.â
âHai, Hokage-sama!â
â*Sigh* Danzo just what are you plotting this timeâ
