Chapter 294: The Bad Day of a Normal Bartender part 2
Cold sweat was flowing down Batendaâs back like a river while Gaara was staring him down and waiting for him to serve âthe drinksâ. Although he would rather not do so, he pushed down his apprehension and asked Gaara a question.
âK-Kazekage-sama, w-what kind of drink would you like to have.â
Gaara continued staring him down while there was clear confusion in his eyes. He had no clue what kind of drink he wanted. After a few more moments of staring, he averted his gaze from Batenda and looked at Tsunade instead.
âWhat kind of drink do I want?â
A smug look appeared on Tsunadeâs face as she lifted her hand and smacked it on the counter, leaving a hand-sized dent in the process.
âIsnât that obvious!? We take the strongest we can get!â
Batenda looked at the fresh dent on his counter in irritation but didnât say anything about it. One of his walls already had a human-shaped hole, so a little dent was no big deal.
Yuna saw the damage Tsunade just caused and couldnât help but chuckle in amusement as she got a great idea.
âYo, Tsunade, how about you sign that handprint. Not everyone can claim that they have a signed handprint of the Hokage in their bar, so we might get a discount in exchange for signing it.â
Batenda almost spat out blood in anger when he heard Yunaâs suggestion. First, a bunch of big-shots demolishes his bar, and next, they even want a discount for it; wasnât that a little too shameless!?
Meanwhile, Tsunadeâs eyes shone with excitement, and moments later, her gaze landed on Batenda, making him flinch.
âIs that true? Can we get a discount if I sign my handprint?â
Batenda coughed a little and wiped away the blood that trickled out of the corner of his mouth while another grimace-like smile appeared on his face.
âO-Of course, it would be my honor to have the Hokageâs signed handprint in my bâŠâ
*BANG*
A loud noise echoed through the bar while Gaaraâs hand sank about half a meter into the counter, almost causing Batenda to die from a combination of shock and anger.
âI will also sign mine, so it should become even *hic* cheaper.â
Batenda saw out of the corner of his eyes that Yuna was currently lifting one of her hands, so he quickly started speaking before his counter was completely annihilated.
âYesyesyes, in fact, if Kazekage-sama signs it, all of you can drink for free!â
Batenda sighed in relief when Yuna lowered her hand. The five people in front of him were only here for a few minutes, but his bar had already taken quite some damage. Despite that, he gritted his teeth and looked at the remaining three people who hadnât ordered yet. Itâs not like he couldnât serve them after all.
âWell, what can I get for you three?â
Yuna had to admit that she was pretty impressed by the guts the person in front of her displayed. Despite his shop getting torn down in front of him, he somehow managed to still have a professional attitude towards her group. Of course, what Yuna didnât know was that she had already given him enough money to buy another bar. She noticed the flash of greed in his eyes and how he suppressed it, but that didnât mean she knew how much she actually gave him.
So, with a casual gesture, Yuna pointed at Tsunade and started speaking.
âI will take the same as her, but make it a big one; I have to catch up to those two, after all.â
âOh? I wasnât expecting you to drink Yuna. In that case, I guess I shouldnât be falling behind either. I will take the same.â
âEh? Seriously?â
After Yuna, Mei started speaking and happily started ordering the same as Yuna. It has been a long time since she had enough free time to enjoy herself like this, so she didnât mind getting drunk.
After Mei, Hinata started speaking with apparent disbelief in her voice. She never had drunk alcohol, so she wasnât used to it in the slightest. She wasnât sure if she should order the same as everybody else or get something milder.
After pondering the situation for a short moment, she simply shrugged her shoulders and ordered the same as well. Itâs not like she had to drink it if she didnât like it after all.
âI will take the same, as well.â
Batenda nodded his head in acknowledgment and took out a bottle with a skull drawn on it, causing Hinata to regret her decision a little.
He took out five small glasses, poured the clear liquid into them, and placed the five glasses in front of the five people.
The moment Gaara received his glass, he started staring at it like it was his worst enemy, which almost resulted in Batenda cursing out loud. He had no idea what the problem was, but by now, he was certain that the drunk Gaara was more dangerous for his shop than the sober Yuna. Although Yunaâs actions caused a lot of damage, they were clearly controlled and done with purpose, while Gaaraâs could possibly destroy his bar at any moment because of some random idea he got. As for a drunk Yuna, he didnât dare think about it.
âW-What might be the problem, Kazekage-sama.â
â*Hic* Itâs too small.â
âThatâs what she said.â
Everyone glanced at Yuna, who said the second part, before ignoring her.
*BANG*
Another loud sound echoed through the bar as Tsunade created a second handprint on top of the counter.
âTHATâS RIGHT; ITâS TOO SMALL!!! GIVE US THE BOTTLE!!! NO, GIVE EACH ONE OF US ONE BOTTLE!!!â
Batenda, who was slightly numb by now and didnât even react to Tsuande causing some more damage, simply nodded his head and took out five bottles, placing them in front of the five people.
âPlease enjoy.â
Meanwhile, Hinata had no idea what she was supposed to do with the dangerous-looking bottle in front of her.
âW-Will this really be fiâŠ?â
Before she could finish her thoughts, Tsunade picked up the bottle, opened it, and took a big gulp from it.
âPFHA, THATâS THE GOOD STUFF!!!â
âSomehow, I donât think this will be fine.â
