Chapter 210 â Nothing at all.
Noelle finally entered the Shadow Realm. Her entrance had been seamless, as she had diminished her power greatly. Now, her avatar stood at the mythic rank. It was not a low rank, but also not something impressiveâfor her, at least.
So after concealing herself with her own power, in no time, she was already inside the Shadow Realm.
"What an uncomfortable place," Noelle muttered softly under her breath, already feeling like she didnât want to stay here any longer than necessary.
The next step was to get to Noah. And Noelle knewâafter years of stalking himâthat he had a unique realm of his own. She had even found a way to enter it without any problem.
But she stopped herself, just as she was about to cross the threshold.
She tilted her head, her face beautiful and perfect, her expression pensive. "Isnât it rude to enter his realm uninvited, without any gifts?"
It was rude. Noelle knew it.
She couldnât do anything about the uninvited partâtruly, she couldnât wait for an invitation. But as for the gift...?
Noelle could do something about that.
She looked around, scanned her surroundings. And as youâd expect from the Shadow Realm, there were only shadows. Endless, writhing and useless shadows.
If she was right, her precious was surely hurt and angry at the golden-haired elves.
"The Worldborn... guess theyâre still that arrogant because of that old lady," Noelle said, shaking her head. But now her gift was decided.
"Iâll tell him the location of that old lady but at the same time I might as well help him heal his wounds," she decided.
Because knowing where that old woman wasâand how to get herâwas the only possible solution if her precious wanted to win against them.
Otherwise, no matter how strong he became, he would never be on par.
Well...
"Only if he becomes stronger than those two and the leader of the factions. Only then could he kill all of them without needing to take care of the old lady first."
But even that will be difficult as that old lady will not sit and look at them doing that.
And by taking care of her, Noelle didnât mean kill her. That was something quite impossible, in fact... taking care meant finding a way to bind her, to stop her from interfering.
But it wouldnât be easy. Those Worldborns were her favorite children, after all.
Noelle shook her head softly and raised her right hand to eye level.
She touched the void as if it were something tangible. And indeed, as she touched it, ripples formed in the space before her like flowing water. Then she clenched her hand, and the space ripped itself apart, revealing on the other side... a completely different environment.
Noahâs realm.
Noelle smiled. She took a stepâand immediately went in.
Behind her, the space healed itself, becoming just like before. No one would believe that someone had just used her authority over space to enter a realm belonging to someone else.
And just like that,
Noelleâthe stalker of Noahâfinally went to meet her precious.
...
Meanwhile, inside the realm, within the Bloodheart territoryâ
A meeting between mother and daughter was taking place.
Rouge looked at her mother and grinned. "I wonder what you were gonna do to Malrik if I hadnât come here, Mother?" she asked, curious.
She had almost been tempted to not come, just so she could find out what her mother would do. But she still came, knowing full well that her mother could go crazy sometimes.
Red returned the grin. "You do not want to know, dear daughter."
Then she shifted the subject, talking about the things she actually wanted to talk about.
"I called you for a reason. Tell meâwhat do you think about your father?" Red asked, before adding:
"I want the truth, Rouge," she said with a serious faceâsomething Rouge knew well wasnât common.
Which meant this question was important to her.
But it was also a tricky question. Rouge had never been close to her father.
It wasnât that her father treated her badly, or was constantly busy, or anything like that.
No, not at all.
There was just no particular reason to talk much. The Bloodhearts were a clan of people who craved blood, who craved fights and challenges.
Every one of them had only one goalâto grow stronger.
But as always, there are exceptions. And Rougeâs fatherâAlaricâwas one of them.
He didnât strive to become stronger. He was the type to laze around and do nothing.
But Rouge never truly blamed him. In fact, she didnât care that much about him.
And how could she?
No matter if someone is your father or mother, relationships are things we cultivate.
Feelings are things we cultivate. Itâs earned.
Itâs not granted. Youâre not born with love for your parents inside you. Itâs because they take care of you, show you loveâand over time, you reciprocate.
Because humans are like that.
So when a father doesnât do his job?
Then so be it.
And Alaric didnât do his job.
So between him and Rouge, there were no real feelings involved. Only the fact that he helped give her birth.
But in this world, who truly cares about such a shallow thing?
Rouge certainly didnât.
Thatâs why, finally, she looked into her motherâs red eyes and saidâin the most emotionless tone she had ever used,
"I donât feel anything about him."
Thatâs it.
She didnât hate him, but she didnât love him either.
At her response, Red Bloodheart grinned. A sharp, merciless grin.
"Then I can kill him, right?" she asked, her voice devoid of mercy.
As if she wasnât talking about her husbandâbut just some random man in the street.
Rouge tilted her head in surprise and a little confusion. "Why would you suddenly want to kill him?" she asked.
It wasnât the fact that her father was being killed that bothered herâbut the reason. Why now? Not before?
And the answer was something Rouge didnât expect at all.
"Because I want to pursue Noah. And I canât do that with a husband in my name. So I have to kill that useless bastard."
Red answered calmly, then leaned back in her bloody chair.
"And you will help me do so, my dear daughter."
She grinned.
"So tell me... how can I make the Absolute Deity look at me, accept me, and fuck me until I donât even recognize you as my daughter?"
Rouge stood there, her eyes wide in surprise. Then, slowly, a bloody grin spread across her face.
"Mother... I didnât know you were such a horny woman."
