Yasenia sat on a chair, Angel sitting on her lap while munching on some cookies Yasenia made for them. As she glanced into the distance as they crossed the void, Yasenia felt excited and nervous.
"Tatyana, is there something odd, like with Kali, occurring with Cecile?"
Tatyana, this time around, thankfully knew a little from Claraâs reports. Still, Tatyana felt there was no need to tell her, since this meeting was bound to be different.
Unlike with her other lovers, Yasenia had a true Interlocked Souls connection with Cecile. Therefore, as long as they were relatively close, Yasenia wouldnât need to snoop around.
Following her heart was more than enough for Yasenia to sense Cecileâs location.
"Hm... There is something indeed. However, I feel that it will be better for you to discover it."
Yasenia squinted. "No danger present, right?"
"None. Not even around her. Cecile can be said to be leaving a luxurious life worthy of a princess~."
Yasenia blinked twice, her face a bit odd. "Thatâs... quite an odd comparison."
Evelyn looked at Tatyana and asked, her eyebrow raised. "Donât tell me, Cecile has become a princess?"
Tatyana shrugged. "Youâll know when we arrive. We are only around a week away, arenât we?"
Yasenia sighed and looked at Tatyana with a helpless look. Still, since Clara was properly communicating this time around, unlike Flora, she didnât continue pressing on it. Instead, her hand gently caressed Angelâs long and smooth blonde hair, her mind thoughtful.
Andrea couldnât help but laugh. "Are you nervous?"
Yasenia couldnât help but show a slightly embarrassed expression. "Honestly, I am a bit worried. I feel quite on edge, so if there is something odd with Cecileâs situation, I might truly go on a rampage."
While Yasenia didnât really feel a burden when destroying those who bothered her, she didnât want to become a devil. Her actions in the Holy Beast Empire were already quite brutal, reaching Yaseniaâs bottom line.
So, if she truly went into another rampage in Cecileâs world, Yasenia would feel slightly guilty toward the innocents living there. âCasualties from the aftermath of my clashes donât really bother me much. However, indiscriminate killing is not something I rejoice in.â
Yasenia liked to challenge strong people. She liked surpassing herself. Bullying others was not something she was fond of unless they did something that touched her nerves. The problem was that with Cecile, almost everything could touch a nerve.
She took a deep breath, inhaling the cosmic energy, and then exhaled gently. "Letâs hear about this world."
Tatyana leaned back, taking a sip of a glass of milk tea. Of course, the milk had been recently squeezed. "Letâs see... This world is quite special. It is named [Azure], and it is not a spherical world but a planar world like the Blue Pearl World."
Evelyn blinked. "Oh~?"
Andrea hummed. "Planar world. A âflatâ world that grows quite large within a sub-dimension within a Heavenly Layer, right?"
"Yes." Tatyana nodded. "These worlds are quite massive, since they donât really have boundaries. Of course, there is an end of the world if they are not too large, but usually, they are tens to hundreds of times larger than spherical worlds."
Yasenia asked. "Is it special because there are not many planar worlds in this Heavenly Layer?"
"No." Tatyana smiled. "It is special because this world is one of the strongest worlds in the entire Heavenly Layer." Tatyana then added. "A Heavenly Layer is too vast to have a number one spot. Still, I have not discovered a better developed world than [Azure] when we were searching for places to drop your wives back then."
"Speaking of which, how did you do that?"
Tatayna chuckled. "We took a galactic map, mounted it on my personal flying ship, and then visited a few hundred worlds. When one of them felt some sort of attraction or link to any of the worlds, I would drop them and their personal maid off there and move on."
Yasenia laughed, hugging Angel close. "Thatâs quite crude. I thought you had compiled worlds and decided where to throw them."
Tatyana shook her head. "That wouldâve been too... meddlesome. Going by instinct is the best in those situations. Didnât they each find quite fantastic things?"
"Thatâs true. Fate has, after all, influence on peopleâs paths."
Evelyn clicked her tongue. "Someone I know isnât much, or at all, influenced, though."
Yasenia blinked innocently. "Who might that be? I donât know~."
Evelyn rolled her eyes, amused.
"So..." Kali placed her teacup down, curious. "[Azure] is quite a strong world."
"Thatâs an understatement," Tatyana commented. "As one of the top powers, the number of Transcendence Realm cultivators is in the hundreds of thousands. Thatâs basically the same amount as most worlds in the Heavenly Layer above us have."
"Hundreds of thousands... in the mid-level Exalted Heavenly Layer..." Yasenia muttered, quite awed at this information. "Why has it not ascended?"
"Planar worlds are quite difficult to ascend. I am personally unsure as to why that is..." Tatyana looked toward Angel, or more specifically, Angelâs mirror necklace.
Mirrory manifested and glanced at Tatyana strangely. "You donât know?"
"I donât," Tatyana said candidly. "I have not really looked into how to ascend worlds, to be honest."
Mirrory shook her head. "The reason planar worlds are hard to ascend is that they are worlds that have descended."
"Hm?"
Mirrory spoke nonchalantly. "A Planar world is a fragment world from a world that was previously above their current Heavenly Layer. At least, thatâs the case for 99.9999% of them."
"Oh~. Interesting." Tatyana rubbed her chin. "Well, it doesnât matter. The thing is that [Azure] is a pinnacle world that is about to ascend."
"âAbout toâ is quite vague..." Evelyn muttered.
Tatyana shrugged. "Itâs not like anyone can know beforehand. Only faint traces and warnings can be noticed beforehand, but never an exact date."
Yasenia gave Angel a cup of milk tea. "Letâs return to the subject. Cecile is in [Azure], right? What type of world is [Azure] in terms of culture?"
Tatyana sighed. "Sadly, the answer is the boring one. It follows the same faction division. Only... This world is a humanoid-dominated world. Beasts are not considered intelligent species and are hunted actively."
"...Huh?" Yasenia asked, confused. "Then how come Sweetheart is doing fine?"
"She has never revealed her Phoenix form. So, she has always masqueraded as a Phoenix beasthuman."
Yasenia pouted. "Sweetheart must feel stifled. Even I need to stretch in my dragon form from time to time."
While a beast didnât really need to transform, it could become somewhat annoying to stay in a human form for long periods of time.
Angel saw Yasenia pout, and she picked a biscuit, placing it before Yaseniaâs mouth. "Eat."
Seeing the food offered by her baby, Yasenia didnât even hesitate and bit down deliciously. She even used her long tongue to lick Angelâs fingers clean by her tongue coiling around them.
Angel blushed and looked at her hands in a daze, her mind going to very pink places. âYaseniaâs tongue is really agile...â
Even the other girls couldnât help but blush a bit. Yasenia smacked her lips. "Delicious."
Evelyn chuckled. "Praising your own food, quite shameless."
Yasenia blinked. "I was talking about Angelâs fingers."
Evelyn once more rolled her eyes.
Feixue, who had been listening silently, asked with caution. "Master... will Masterâs soulmate be bothered by our contract? We can terminate it if you want."
Kali recalled and asked, curious. "Right, how come youâve created a beast contract with Little Feixue?"
Yasenia told the summarized version, and Kali soon understood. Her tails flicked playfully. "Thatâs quite an interesting story. I wonder how Cecile will react?"
Yasenia pondered and shook her head. "I am not sure. Still, since I like Feixue, Cecile wonât do anything strange. If it bothers her, she will ask to cut the connection bluntly and be done with it." Here, she paused a little. "Well, thatâs at least what she wouldâve done in the past. Honestly, I am not really sure how much her personality has changed since then.
Andrea chuckled gently. "Knowing her, she might not have changed in the slightest. After all, her mind shouldâve been filled with getting stronger and nothing else. Where is the time to develop emotionally?"
Fexiue was quite curious about Cecile. "Is Masterâs Soulmate a cold person?"
Evelyn smirked. "Thatâs what confuses most people. Outwardly, she looks as if she couldnât care less about what happens around her. Still, once you get to know her, she is one of the most chatty people. The funny thing is that Cecile speaks with quite an emotionless tone, so itâs always a treat to see her ramble. She can be quite cute."
Yasenia smiled softly, and time continued to flow by. Soon, they arrived at the nearby area, and the ship crossed [Azure]âs Heavens, entering the world hidden away.
The second they entered, Yasenia, already standing at the front of the flying ship, closed her eyes and allowed her energy to pulse outward very gently. She didnât want to catch the attention of people, but she also didnât hold back in terms of distance.
For high-level people, it would feel as if someone tapped their shoulder once, while low-level people would not even be able to feel it.
The reason she did this pulse was for her connection with Cecile to activate.
Meanwhile, deep within the Scarlet Sun Empire, Cecile suddenly opened her eyes. There was a trace of confusion flashing in her icy blue eyes. âThis feeling...â
While it has been incredibly long, Cecile would never confuse the sensation of Yaseniaâs energy. She looked at Clara and asked, her eyes quite serious. "Clara, have you felt it?"
Being sure of herself didnât stop her from confirming her feelings. Clara, at the side, pondered for a second and asked. "Madam, are you speaking about that gentle energy pulse?"
Cecile stood up when she heard that, her usual stone-cold face gaining a lively and expectant expression. "Sheâs here."
Perhaps it was bad timing, but Prince Xinghong happened to walk in right as Cecile stood up and changed her expression. This time, even Saira was struck speechless at Cecileâs smiling and bright expression. It was like seeing the flowers after the frost in the mountain had melted away.
Cecile really wanted to ignore everything and rush out. However, looking at the prince, she stopped and tried to stifle her emotions. âShe will come herself, so if I go out and cause problems, things can get messy. Itâs best to wait for her to arrive and reunite here.â
Quite a sad decision, as this option sealed Xinghongâs fate.
Meanwhile, far away from Cecileâs location, Yaseniaâs golden slit eyes opened, and her head turned in Cecileâs direction. Her lips arched in excitement. "Found you, Sweetheart."
