“You know sometimes I don’t understand you, acting like you answer to no one”.

Alina stops walking and finally faces him calmly.“you’re wrong, I answer to facts and evidence. It shows that that guy walked in and saved a kidnapped victim while were still tracking license plates. If you’ve got anything else to say you can speak with the chief”.

Alina says then walks away from him heading to her private office entering about to close the door but mark quickly uses his hands to stop it from closing.

Marks seeing her upset about his earlier questioning, hurriedly apologies to her to soothe things between them as he didn’t want their argument to cause a friction in their close relationship.

"Am sorry about my actions, I was just feeling concerned about you since I know how stressed out you’ve been with the recent missing cases. Sorry that I took it too far”.

Alina expression visibly softens hearing his apology, she expressed her acceptance to his apology then signals that shell like to rest if there’s nothing else to say.

"well there’s a new cafe that opened up downtown I wanted to ask if you’ll be interested in having dinner there with me?”.

“Next time I would like to rest since todays been a hectic day for me, I suggest you ask someone else if you want to head over there” Alina responds coolly subtly hinting that she isn’t interested.

Mark already expecting her replies gives a half-smile then walks out of her office closing the door behind him walks off taking a sharp bend at the corner he punches the wall in anger ‘who does she thinks she is acting above everyone else’.

He thinks to himself in anger, one day he’ll have her in his clutches and when he does “heh” muttering with a lewd smile on his face thinking of all the things he’ll be able to do to her.

Sorting out the creases in his clothes he put on a charming smile then walks over to the lady officer in charge of the logistics, though she wasn’t that pretty he had noticed the flirting look she has been giving him lately but he pretended not to notice preserving his good Image in front of others lest they talk something bad about him to Alina.

But now he could care less since she has been rejecting his advances with different excuses like she’s busy and the likes, he’ll use her to vent out his frustration’s better still he can practice his techniques with her for when he’s gotten his hands-on Alina.

Stopping in front of her desk he leans at her dropping the tickets to a movie he planned on going with Alina to her winking then he leaves.

The office lady seeing the ticket hurriedly pockets it thinking that Mark has finally noticed her charms since she’s been dropping hints at him for some time.

With Mark likely to be promoted if she could hit it off with him she would have ascend her status and position in the station, not seeking favors with others instead it’ll be the opposite as people would be coming to her to get favors.

Thinking about the future got her so happy that she couldn’t wait for her shift to end.
