In the end, Mo Si summoned the Cat Warriorâs teammates to ask about the situation.
Their accounts were all largely the same. They all said she was a streamer who possessed Magic.
When they arrived at the Fourth Army, Qiudao and Changbei had wanted to bring up the streamer, but there was never a good time. Mo Si had already begun observing the Fourth Armyâs drills.
History was repeating itself with startling similarity.
It was the same story: a group of people whose mental and physical conditions had slightly improved.
Mo Si questioned a few more soldiers who had shown significant improvement and, astonishingly, received the same answer.
"After watching a food livestream, my body just seemed to gradually... change a little."
"I just donât feel as tired anymore."
Then came the Third Military District, and the Second Military Regionâ
Time passed slowly. As night approached, Mo Si and his entourage were about to head to the First Legion, located at the northernmost point of Federation Star. This was Mo Siâs own personally commanded legion.
The starship was mid-jump.
Now that they had a moment, Qiudao immediately went to Mo Siâs side.
"Do you have something to report?"
"Admiral, Changbei and I have something to report. You know how our training scores have improved recently? Well, we havenât actually done any extra training or changed our methods. Itâs just that weâve been watchingâ"
"A livestream, as well?"
"Yes." âHonestly,â Qiudao thought, âif I hadnât experienced it myself, Iâd think everything the Admiral has learned today was part of some grand conspiracy.â
âSomeone must have bribed the soldiers being inspected today to get the Admiral to notice this streamer.â
But he had experienced it himself. Jujuâs food was truly irresistible. It cleansed the soul and washed away all troubles.
If only one person had said it, Mo Si would have been suspicious.
With a whole group saying it, Mo Si thought it might be true.
But with a whole group of people, plus his own subordinates, all confirming it, the matter was most likely true.
âSo, delicious food makes people relaxed and happy?â
While he was lost in thought, they arrived at the First Legion.
The legion was currently under the command of Mo Siâs adjutant, who was also his cousin, Mo Xin. Mo Xin and Mo Si were two people with almost completely opposite personalities.
One was calm and self-possessed, approaching things with logic.
The other was a natural-born clown, the type whoâd have the guts to dance on a grave in the most solemn of places.
The First Legion was a little too quiet today. There were no thundering slogans, no bugle calls for training.
Ordinarily, everyone should still have been training at this hour.
"Qiudao, go and see where the soldiers have gone."
"Yes, sir! Admiral, Iâll go and check right away!"
ăMeanwhile, in the First Legionâs Main Assembly Hall.ă
This was the hall the First Legion used for combat analysis. They would turn on the holographic screen to watch and analyze Mecha combat videos whenever a classic battle was being reviewed, or when leading experts were invited to speak. Everyone strived to become a master tactician.
But today, despite the lack of any spectacular combat footage or visiting experts, the assembly hall was still packed to the rafters.
Hundreds of thousands of soldiers sat in the vast hall. And yet, for so many people, not a single one made a sound.
Everyone was watching a food livestream with serious, rapt attention.
Mo Xin himself was watching, even abusing his authority for personal gain by having two accounts open at once.
"Whatâs wrong? Whatâs the big hurry?"
"How could my cousin be here? Even if he were coming, itâd be tomorrow. I heard heâs inspecting the other military districts today. He doesnât have time to bother with us."
"Itâs not like watching a livestream is against the law. Whatâs there to be scared of? You think my brotherâs gonna beat me for it? Hahaha." Mo Xin waved his hand dismissively, striking a carefree pose.
The young soldier he was talking to raised a hand, his face a mask of terror as he pointed behind Mo Xin. He was so tongue-tied he could barely speak. "I-I-Itâs... the A-Admiral!"
"What admiral?" he asked nonchalantly, turning his head.
An incredibly, unbelievably familiar face instantly filled his vision. His heart went cold. He yelped and instinctively jumped back two or three meters, stammering, "Bro-bro-bro-bro-bro!"
"This is a military legion, Adjutant Mo. What are you broadcasting in the main assembly hall?"
Before Mo Xin could speak, Jiang Qiuqiuâs soft laughter echoed from the holographic screen.
In this setting, the sound of the young womanâs light laughter made Mo Xin seem all the more ridiculous.
