The branch office rarely held meetings.
For this meeting, however, Little President Qian had summoned all the companyâs streamers.
There werenât too many of them, but they still filled a large circle of seats.
Little President Qian stood in the center of the conference room to speak. "The annual competition has concluded, and as of now, all of our companyâs streamer results are in."
"First up is Juju, which everyone who followed the later stages of the competition already knows."
"Sheâs number one in our company, and number one in the parent company as well." As he finished speaking, everyone in the virtual conference room applauded.
Warm applause filled the air.
Jiang Qiuqiu stood up and gave everyone a small wave.
"She comes from the food streaming category, which isnât one of the larger sections, but she still took first place," Little President Qian said. "This goes to show that you donât have to be in a popular category to achieve great results."
"As long as you stay true to yourself and create unique content that people enjoy, you can achieve results that are just as good as those in more popular categories."
"Why did I call this meeting today? First, to inform you that our company is upgrading, which means more resources will be allocated. Second, because there are always people who want to switch categoriesâ"
He stood at the front, his gaze sharp as he looked out at the audience.
When he was offstage, Jiang Qiuqiu could still occasionally catch a glimpse of youthful innocence in his profile or his tone of voice.
But once he was on stage, Qian Xingxingâs entire presence changed.
"Many of you here are streamers I personally scouted from all over. We all spoke before you decided on the direction for your streams."
"If any of you truly want to switch categories, the operations team and the editors wonât stop you. But I hope that if you do, itâs after careful consideration and because you feel your style no longer fits your contentânot just because you think your category doesnât have enough viewers."
"Even in a small category, as long as you stick to your unique style and produce high-quality content, you can become a top streamer."
When he finished, he led the applause, and the audience joined in.
Next, Meimei played a video and continued the report on the other streamersâ results.
In this yearâs competition, Little President Qianâs branch office had four streamers advance to the second round, and thirteen streamers received invitations to the annual gala. All in all, it was a solid performance.
After reviewing the gala results, he went on to list the streamers who had shown excellent fan growth and built a strong reputation this year.
Jiang Qiuqiu was, of course, the first to be mentioned. As the yearâs breakout streamer, she needed no flowery praise; once the data was on display, it was enough to convince any discerning person.
As the highlight reel continued to play, Jiang Qiuqiu noticed that Qian Xingxing had also been supporting streamers who focused on crafts and basic public tutorials this year.
It seemed quite deliberate.
The meeting was neither long nor short, lasting just over an hour.
Little President Qian took everyone on a journey through the companyâs past and shared his vision for the future before finally adjourning the meeting.
As soon as the main meeting ended, Qian Xingxing, Meimei, and Jiang Qiuqiu gathered for a smaller one.
"Qiuqiu, will you be around tomorrow? Iâll have a drone courier send the invitation over in a little while."
"I will be," Jiang Qiuqiu confirmed with a nod.
"This yearâs gala is on December 19th, from 5 PM to midnight. Itâs being held at Telan Garden," Meimei relayed the details.
Jiang Qiuqiu jotted it down as she listened. "Telan Garden? Iâll look it up... It seems to be on the west side of the city. Should I plan to leave two hours early?"
"No, no, no." Meimei shook her head. "Not two hours. Youâll need to start preparing six hours beforehand."
"?"
âSix hours?â
