Chapter 621: A Public Confession
âLosing fans?â
Hearing this, the corner of Feng Fengâs lips curved into a slight smile. âThe fans who truly love you will hope for your happiness; a hidden relationship only happens when one is afraid of making a public announcement in the beginning. This isnât wrong because when one is uncertain, they wouldnât want to risk it all in one throw. Iâm certain that sheâs the one so Iâm not being so secretive.â
âCertain that sheâs the one?â
Feng Feng lowered his head a little, shielding a different kind of glint in his eye.
âAm I really certain that sheâs the one?â
âWhy had I not felt repulsed when I said that?â
Shui Anluoâs hand shivered when she heard this. She stared at the man on the screen.
It was true that most romances in the entertainment circle were discovered by paparazzi who had too much pickled vegetables and too much free time. Not many would publicly announce their relationships at the start of their romance. One reason was because they were afraid of backlash from their fans and the other reason was that they were not certain about their relationship.
Therefore, does Feng Fengâs statement mean that Qiao Yaruan was the one for him and not Sister Qirou?
This time, she had won the bet.
Xin Le watched with the laptop in her arms and exclaimed, âHow moving for the Silver Screen King Feng to actually say this kind of thing.â
âThis kind of thing?â
Qiao Yaruanâs ears felt mildly distracted but she pretended as though she did not care.
âSheâs not from our circle so I hope that youâll all give me some space. Donât disturb her. After all, I donât want her to be disturbed.â Feng Feng spoke with such deep affection that no one would suspect his feelings for Qiao Yaruan.
âHey, hey, Silver Screen King Feng is telling everyoneâŠâ Xin Le spoke up but saw the look on Qiao Yaruanâs face and immediately shut her mouth.
Sigh, she could not understand why all the good men belonged to other people.
Shui Anluo felt more relaxed after watching the press conference.
Now that she was in a better mood, she limped to the kitchen to cook.
Maid Yu could not move so it was left to her to cook the meals.
Shui Anluo entered the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to look for ingredients for lunch. However, she noticed a white powdery substance on the surface of a few tomatoes she was taking out. âAre they spoilt?â Shui Anluo exclaimed as she put one to the tip of her nose to take a whiff.
It did not smell rotten.
Shui Anluo curiously took out all the tomatoes from inside the freezer. Most of them had a white powdery substance on the surface. Shui Anluo was taken aback and she quickly turned around and headed to Maid Yuâs room. âMaid Yu, Maid Yu, did your diarrhea start after you ate the tomatoes in the fridge?â
Maid Yu was taken aback. She thought for a bit before replying, âI think so but I had bought those tomatoes last night. Mister Feng doesnât eat tomatoes so I didnât cook them but that I was hungry last night so I ate one and thenâŠâ Maid Yu rambled on and let out a cry. âThat blasted idiot vegetable seller, Old Zhang, canât have given me rotten tomatoes right?â
The corners of Shui Anluoâs lips twitched. It seems that she was right. The white substance had not come from the frost in the freezer but were laxatives that revealed their true nature under low temperatures.
âNo, Iâm going to find that damned Old Zhang. This is all his fault,â Maid Yu cried out.
âMaid Yu, Maid Yu, howâre you going to go out like this?â Shui Anluo quickly stopped Maid Yu, âWeâll just have to be more careful when buying vegetables next time. Maybe you didnât wash the pesticide off properly before eating the tomato. Iâll throw these pesticide-ridden ones away, okay?â Shui Anluo suggested. She comforted Maid Yu before she heading off to scrape the white powder from the tomatoes, placing the scrapings into a small bottle.
