Elf Village Gendal,
"Who?"
Hearing the voice, Igley was suddenly startled.
He hadnāt noticed anyone approaching at all, and if the other party had ambushed him in stealth, he would have been in dire straits.
Could it be the Nether River Memory Stealing Demon?
But this voice sounded somewhat familiar...
Igley looked up and saw two figures slowly descending.
It was Lis and Cecil.
Igley breathed a sigh of relief; he hadnāt expected Lis to come over directly. Although Lis had previously communicated via Magic, he hadnāt returned for some time.
The appearance at this moment brought Igley a pleasant surprise.
Just encountering this Nether River Memory Stealer made him feel a bit troublesome.
Itās not that heās worried he couldnāt defeat the Nether River Memory Stealer, but the stealth ability of this demon was rather strong, making him fear the villagers and the [Natureās Wrath] team members might be ambushed by the demon.
He had already stationed all [Natureās Wrath] members at various corners of the village, but had not received any news, which inevitably made him anxious.
Lisās arrival put him at ease.
As the World Tree Favored, Lis was also a powerful Mage.
Lisās methods were far superior to his, and he should have a way to deal with the Nether River Memory Stealer.
Meanwhile, many members of [Natureās Wrath] immediately saluted Lis, looking at him with eyes full of respect.
With such thoughts in mind, Igley was about to greet Lis.
Suddenly, Igley widened his eyes and looked at Lis in disbelief, momentarily frozen in place.
Beside him, Cecil looked bewildered, preparing to say something to her father.
At this moment, Lis set Cecil down, ignoring Igleyās strange expression, and smiled, looking at Village Chief Nicolo standing to the side.
"Whatās the matter, demon, do you still want to hide?"
Village Chief Nicoloās body trembled slightly, forcing a smile as he said:
"My lord, I donāt know what youāre talking about."
"Iām no demon!"
Seemingly sensing something amiss, he hurriedly looked to Igley for help, saying:
"Master Igley, look, this Human calls me a demon, isnāt that a joke?"
"You canāt let him cause trouble here."
For some reason, Nicolo felt that the surrounding [Natureās Wrath] Elves were giving him very strange looks, some even drawing their weapons and aiming them at him.
Seeing this, he couldnāt help but take a few steps back.
Lis stood in front of Nicolo, gently extending his right hand toward him.
In an instant, Nicolo felt the Magic Elements around his body transform into countless solid, multicolored chains, locking his body in place.
Whatās this?
Nicolo was shocked, instinctively starting to struggle, but no matter how hard he tried, the chains holding him didnāt budge.
What?!
Nicoloās face changed dramatically. Although he didnāt know how his identity had been exposed, even that [Gale Sword Saint] hadnāt discovered anything unusual about him, yet the young Human in front of him saw through it.
He instantly realized that if he didnāt go all out now, he would never have another chance.
In an instant, the seemingly kind and elderly old Elfās figure underwent an earth-shattering transformation.
The originally kind appearance dissipated like mist, replaced by a frightening demon image.
His skin turned a deep blue-purple, glimmering with an ominous light. A pair of hideous wings suddenly unfurled from his back, covered in eerie patterns, resembling distorted illusions from Abyssal rifts, emitting a faint, cold light.
Every flap of those wings seemed to stir the surrounding air, bringing about gusts of chilling, bone-piercing wind.
The demonās face became exceedingly terrifying, eyes burning with the ghostly flames of the Netherlight, flickering with cruelty and madness, and his whole body exuded a heavy Abyss Breath mixed with decay, despair, and Death, making anyone who smelled it feel a formless Fear rising from the heart.
In that moment, the entire Elf Village seemed shrouded by a dark Shadow, the originally harmonious Nature atmosphere completely broken, replaced with unprecedented terror and despair.
The surrounding Elf villagersā faces changed drastically, retreating in shock.
They couldnāt have imagined that the village chief would be controlled by a demon, and if it werenāt for [Natureās Wrath]ās arrival, the entire Elf Village would have been utterly destroyed, their souls all devoured.
However, the Elves of [Natureās Wrath] displayed no panic, having experienced similar scenes numerous times; they immediately began coordinating.
Some Elf Warriors drew their weapons and surrounded the Nether River Memory Stealer in the center, vigilantly observing the demon before them, while other Elves organized the residents to disperse, and simultaneously used tools to arrange various Magic Barriers around.
Coordinating quite well, Lis couldnāt help but nod slightly as he watched.
His extensive efforts were not in vain, it seems it is truly on the right track now.
Subsequently, Lisās gaze fell upon the Nether River Memory Stealing Demon before him, watching with interest as it struggled desperately to break free from the Elemental Chainsā constraints.
But clearly, even using all his strength, his attempts were futile.
Though the Nether River Memory Stealerās face was extremely ferocious, it still showed an expression of fright at this moment.
