Then accidentally, he strangled the newly reborn water demon beast to death.

Azure Dragon sheepishly smiled: “My apologies, my friends. It had just been reborn and was at reduced strength, so I accidentally crushed it! But no worries, according to his recovery speed, he will be alive again by the second day, and we can interrogate him then!”

On the second day, as expected, the water demon beast was reborn.

Just as it had grown a new head, Azure Dragon coiled around it once more.

Azure Dragon demanded, “Speak. What is your name, and where do you come from?”

Water Demon Beast: “Roar roar roar!”

Yet, it stayed in his Eastern Sea, so he couldn’t just ignore it.

Black Tortoise said: “Since we can’t kill it, let’s freeze it! Without access to water, it won’t be able to recover!”

“But ordinary ice probably won’t hold this monster!”

Black Tortoise continued: “With the power of heaven and earth, there should be no problem. Please assist me!”

Thus, the Four Holy Beasts combined their powers and encased the Water Demon Beast in a massive block of ice.

This ice block, blessed by the power of heaven and earth, would not dissolve in water nor melt in fire and was also indestructible.

To break the ice and rescue the Water Demon Beast, one would have to break the combined power of the Four Holy Beasts, a feat only an Earthly Immortal could achieve.
