An Lin extended a formal gesture of gratitude to the Night Monarch.

If it weren’t for the Night Monarch, his Little Xie would not have progressed to become a divine tool so easily.

Thus, he rode on Da Bai’s back and continued to rub Little Xie’s cheeks as he bade farewell to the Night Monarch.

The return journey was an extremely smooth one. When Little Xie made her breakthrough, a pillar of divine light had knocked a massive hole that extended all the way into the depths of the abyss, thereby providing them with a shortcut to the surface.

Soon, An Lin returned to the surface on Da Bai’s back.

He looked around at the blue sky and white clouds, as well as the boundless earth around him, and his mood was lifted significantly.

Little Xie still wore a stern expression as she sat silently on Da Bai’s head.

There were still red fingerprints all over her adorable face, clearly the result of being ravaged mercilessly by An Lin.

If Master is a bit more powerful, perhaps it would even be able to slice apart immortal-rank materials!

She then held up a second finger. “The second technique is the Vanquish The Heavens and Slay All Evil, Purification technique, which can purify the opponent’s debilitating powers like poison, curses, or law restrictions.”

An Lin smacked his lips upon hearing this. That technique also sounded quite awesome.

“The third technique is the Vanquish The Heavens and Slay All Evil, Depravity technique, which can reduce targets affected by my sword intent to mindless servants that will follow my every instruction.”

An Lin sighed with emotion upon hearing about these techniques. “You can be an angel or a demon. Little Xie, you sure have some diversity to your character now!”

“I’m nothing compared to you. You can interchange between being a b*stard and a piece of sh*t,” Little Xie spoke with a modest expression.

An Lin: “…”

“Are you trying to get your cheeks pinched again?” An Lin threatened with a menacing expression.

Little Xie’s petite body recoiled, but she still kept up a brave facade. “You said you wouldn’t pinch my cheeks for the rest of today!”

“Alright, hurry up and teach me your sword techniques.” An Lin urged, “Didn’t you say that you can impart your sword techniques and true intent upon me after progressing to become a divine tool?”

“I did, but…” A hesitant expression appeared on Little Xie’s face. “I’m too depleted to do that. You’ll have to wait until I recover my energy first.”

“Alright!” An Lin’s heart was filled with anticipation.

Da Bai asked as he flew through the air, “Big Brother An, where do we go next? Woof!”

“The place we’re going to next is quite interesting.” An Lin pulled out the map with a smile as he looked at the location of the final Dark Bead.

“What place could make you so excited, Big Brother An? Woof!” Da Bai was intrigued.

“The Five-Colored Lightning Pit!” An Lin announced.

Da Bai shuddered and almost fell from the sky.

He turned to stare at An Lin with incredulity on his face. “Big Brother An, are you referring to the Five-Colored Lightning Pit in the Mythological Beast Sect?”

“Of course! Is there a second Five-Colored Lightning Pit?” An Lin replied with a grin.

Da Bai was getting a little scared upon hearing this. “Our sect’s Five-Colored Lightning Pit is the exclusive body refinement location for Grand Elder Kui. How could the Dark Bead be there? Even if it was there, Grand Elder Kui wouldn’t let us go and look for it! Woof!”

“Your father is one of the Three Immortal Beast Overlords. I’m sure he can open a backdoor for us,” An Lin spoke with a grin.

“But I don’t want to go home. Everyone tries to rush me into marriage, woof!” Da Bai spoke with an unwilling expression.

He just wanted to be a single dog. Why was that so hard?

A magnificent immortal mountain appeared before them.

The mountain was huge, with lush plants and beautiful scenery stretching as far as the eyes could see.

There were dancing white cranes, frolicking spirit monkeys, as well as many people walking lions, squirrels, fish, and all sorts of other small animals.
