The Baleful Miasma opened its monstrous, distorted face and swallowed the demonic spear whole.
With a thunderous boom, the spear exploded inside, causing violent tremors, and the evil aura around it churned.
âPointless. You canât kill me,â the Miasma sneered.
Its surrounding evil aura surged, and behind it, a phantom began to form.
The Baleful Miasma roared and fell from the sky, collapsing the space around it.
Paimon frowned, and with a wave of his hand, dark energy spread around him.
When the Miasma landed, it collided with his aura.
With a roar, the Baleful Miasma was flung backward, and Paimon took a few steps back, his expression growing serious.
The Miasma was unharmed, evil aura still rampant.
Paimon leapt into the void, covering half the heavens with his demonic energy.
At that moment, his true form appeared.
It was a horned, black-mist-enveloped creature holding a giant axe, Paimonâs true fate beast.
âThatâs your true form, isnât it?â the Baleful Miasma remarked calmly.
Its aura grew ever stronger, but Paimonâs energy flooded the sky.
The creature towered over heaven and earth, its seven-fingered claws slicing through time and pressure.
Space collapsed around its hand; it looked slow, but it moved across dimensions.
The Miasma didnât react in time before it was caught.
Panicked, it howled, âHeaven Demon, we have no grudges. This is pointless. As long as the world isnât destroyed, Iâm immortal. Let's cease this.â
âYouâre not invincible,â Paimon snorted.
He grasped the Miasma like a toy with one hand and aimed a dark-fire punch at it.
With an earth-shattering boom, the impact cracked the ground in every direction.
The Miasma's screams echoed, and when Paimon lifted his fist, the creature lay exhausted in a deep pit.
He struck again with his true fate form, its aura nearly extinguished.
The Miasma was weak but still refractory.
âYou donât even deserve me pulling out my axe,â Paimon said coolly.
âYou canât... kill me...â it whispered. âWait... until I recover, none can... stop me then,â it threatened.
âYou may not get that chance,â Paimon responded, pinching it with two fingers.
Nearby, Xu Zimo sat cross-legged. His True Fate World appeared above him, showing a blue planet with a small swirling vortex.
Paimon tossed the Baleful Miasma into the vortex and stood guard beside Xu Zimo.
âI canât be sealed, Heaven Demon. I will corrupt this world!â the Miasma howled as it tumbled through space.
After moments of weightlessness, it landed in a vast new world and looked around in disbelief.
âWhere is this?â it gasped, then realized in horror:
This was another world, separate from the Primordial Heartlands.
Here, it was immortal but powerless.
Trapped, possibly for ages, it roared in anger:
âYou Ancient Demons plotted this huge scheme. Once Iâm free, Iâll expose you to the Heavenly Dao!â
Before the end of this era, if the Heavenly Dao discovers that another world exists, theyâll destroy Xu Zimoâs True Fate World.
âYou may never have that chance,â a voice boomed from above.
âWelcome to the God World!â
The Baleful Miasma looked up and saw Xu Zimo standing in the sky, purple-robed, smiling gently.
The sky roiled, and clouds swirled in a fierce wind.
Blue sky and white clouds intertwined, the air charged.
Xu Zimo was surrounded by spiritual energy, as if forming a formation.
âMaster of this world, are you?â the Miasma whispered.
âDo you really think you can leave alive?â Xu Zimo descended and asked with a smile.
âYou can seal me forever, but if I ever escape, youâll see what happens,â the Miasma retorted.
âWhy seal you? You misunderstand,â Xu Zimo shook his head.
âKilling you outright wouldâve been simpler.â
âI am immortal,â the Miasma replied.
âYou think nothing can solve you? There is,â Xu Zimo said, revealing a purple box.
It looked ancient.
Upon opening it, the Miasma trembled.
âImpossible. How did you find this?â
"Technically, I didnât find it, but that doesnât matter."
Xu Zimo opened the box to reveal a single petal.
It was blood-red, vivid like fresh blood.
