Chapter 2225: Is This News True?

“I’d like to ask Director Bai, who’s the singer of the two songs released on If You Can’t Love’s official Weibo? This drama is about to start airing, can you satisfy our curiosity today?

“The netizens have been speculating about the singer ever since the songs were released, but no answer was given. Did you deliberately hide the singer’s identity for today?”

Bai Yusheng looked at the reporter and kept quiet for a while before replying, “You’re right. We didn’t reveal the singer’s identity previously because I wanted to wait for the drama to air before revealing it.”

“Can Director Bai tell us the reason?”

“Mm, there are some reasons. I didn’t want the singer’s identity to be exposed too soon. I wanted to see everyone’s true opinion. If I’d told you from the start, I think the songs wouldn’t have been such a hit.

“But now it’s time to tell everyone the singer’s identity.” Bai Yusheng looked at Qiao Mianmian. “Qiao Mianmian is the singer.”

The reporters were stunned.

Even the emcee was a little shocked.

They had all guessed, but none of them were correct.

“Director Bai, are you telling the truth?” After a few seconds, the reporters recovered from their shock.

“Yes. Those two songs were sung by Mianmian. Someone took a picture of me and her at the airport previously. We were on the way to record the songs at F City that time.” Bai Yusheng smiled and continued, “The songs weren’t meant for Mianmian at the beginning. I took her to Mo Nan’s place to test her voice. Mo Nan felt that it was suitable, so he directly told her to sing.

“I’m glad everyone likes Mianmian’s songs so much. These two songs are her stepping stones into the music industry. It seems like the effect is pretty good. If everyone likes it, Mianmian will record more new songs for you in the future.”

…

The one who sang the two hit songs of “If You Can’t Love” was Qiao Mianmian. When the news was released, Weibo instantly exploded.

“Damn, no way. Qiao Mianmian is the singer?! Is this news true?”

“I’ve guessed all the female singers in the music industry, but I didn’t expect it to be Qiao Mianmian. Isn’t she an actress? Why did she sing? That voice doesn’t sound like her.”

“Qiao Mianmian is the singer? Are you kidding me, Qiao Mianmian actually sings so well? What’s she acting for, she should just debut as a singer.”

“Wow, Mianmian was the one who sang those two godly songs that swept the music charts? I’m so proud as her fan. Mianmian’s voice is usually so soft, I didn’t expect her voice to be so ethereal when singing.”

“I already guessed that it might be Mianmian, but I didn’t expect it to be true! Not only is our Mianmian beautiful, but she’s also so good at singing. Is she also trying to develop a career in the music industry?”
