Chapter 417: Sage of Causality [PART 2]

“What nonsense are you talking about,” the Causality Sage said as she appeared before the Four Path Sage and delivered a blow.

Ice spread from her fist, quickly covering the man’s body.

But before it could completely wrap around him, it stopped.

“Hahaha, it’s just as I expected. You really can’t use your causality law. You’re not the Sage of Causality,” the man said with a laugh. “Just a pawn that managed to take over the body of your creator. Well, it doesn’t matter to me.”

He flexed his hands and instantly shattered the ice around his body. Then he grabbed the Sage of Causality’s hand and threw her with tremendous force, her body exploding several stars along the way.

“You guys, help me set up a formation. We need to end this quickly,” the man ordered his companions.

“A formation? If she can’t use her causality law, can’t you just beat her up and kill her?” they asked.

The man clicked his tongue when he heard this. These damn cowards didn’t want to get involved in case the sage managed to regain herself, and they wanted him to take all the blame.

He let out a sigh. “I’m assuming one of her incarnations took over her mind. They’re probably fighting internally. If the sage manages to win, she will regain her original power. She might forgive us for attacking her.

But if this new personality wins, she will also gain the original sage’s powers. But will she let us go? She has already shown that she doesn’t care about maintaining order like the original. Will you put your trust in her?” he asked.

When they heard this explanation, they quickly began working to prepare the formation.

The Four Path Sage looked toward the direction he had thrown the Causality Sage, thinking to himself that if he had to guess, after being taken over, the sage had probably locked away her causality law so whoever took her over couldn’t access all of her powers.

With how scheming the Sage of Causality was, she had probably already calculated this possibility and had a way of recovering her body that she didn’t want the new personality to know about.

But if they drove her desperate enough, she really might unseal all her power to the new personality so she doesn’t die. He knew well just how desperate people at their level of cultivation could be.

As he was thinking of this, he saw the Sage of Causality flying over. Her aura seemed to have completely changed, and she was covered in semi-transparent silver light. Her eyes also turned silver and seemed to be spinning.

“Do it now!” he screamed at his other companions, thinking to himself that he had a bad feeling about this.

When they heard him, they all put their strength together and activated the formation.

A huge blast was sent Li Yao’s way. They expected to see a massive explosion, but the Sage of Causality just waved her hand, and the entire attack disappeared as if it never existed.

“What?”

“No way!”

“I’m so dead yo”

“We might be cooked”

“Is it too late to say sorry?”

Each had their own reactions, but the Four Path Sage was the most shocked.

That was not the causality law, but it was still Five Path Sage power.

“No way… that’s…” He began, but before he could finish his sentence, the Causality Sage spoke.

|| Just die. ||

Instantly, the six sages began disintegrating until nothing was left.

The Sage of Causality looked at her hand.

|| Is this… || The glow on her body slowly died down and she returned to normal. “The law of heavenly way?”

As she returned to normal, her nose began twitching. She then began sniffing all around.

“This is… senior brother’s scent.” She smiled widely. “Senior brother, I’ve finished off all the enemies. Now we can finally be together.”

The Love Goddess Xi Wangmu stood at the top of her castle.

She thought to herself that although this castle wasn’t near the level of the one in the celestial realm, it was still good nonetheless. All it lacked was a few handsome men and beautiful women.

She wondered if she should go back to the celestial realm and get some.

She shook her head, glancing toward the direction of another mortal world nearby. She thought to herself that she couldn’t leave now. Although she had her people surrounding that mortal world, if the Human Empress decided to ascend when she was away, those guys might not necessarily be able to capture her.

“Dammit, why does such a small mortal world have such a heavy heavenly dao restriction?” she cursed.

As she did this, she felt something move past her with extreme speed.

“What the hell? Am I seeing things?” she wondered, stumbling back.

Her expression instantly froze as she felt someone behind her.

She jumped and drew her sword.

“Who dares?” she questioned, but when she saw the face of the one behind her, her expression froze in fear. “H-h-hu-Human Empress?” she stammered. Her face was covered in fear. “I need to run,” she thought, instantly forgetting all her earlier thoughts about capturing her.

“Human Empress?” the Causality Sage wondered aloud. “I’ve heard that name before. But why can’t I remember? Oh well, doesn’t matter.” She waved her hand, and the Love Goddess exploded into nothingness.

“I was just passing by before I noticed that disgusting charm technique. Using it so close to my husband, do you think I’m blind? Hmph,” she scoffed before disappearing.

She then appeared before a huge mortal world. Well, for her, it was quite small.

“Senior brother is here?” she spoke in excitement.

“There are some disgusting pests around though.”

She thought this as her aura expanded outward and instantly annihilated all those immortals camping around the planet. She then moved closer to the mortal world, extending her hand, but she felt her hand get bounced back.

“This is… heavenly dao restriction?” she wondered.

|| You dare to stop me? || she questioned, entering her heavenly dao form. When she tried again this time, it was much easier, but the resistance was still there and she couldn’t completely break past.

|| How is it so strong? || she cursed, attempting again.

After a few failed attempts, she settled into a meditative posture. She thought to herself that even if it was a heavenly dao restriction, with her understanding of the law of heavenly way, she should be able to bypass it.

It’ll just take some time.

“Husband, please just wait a little longer. In just one month… we can meet again…”
