[The Dragon Capital.]
"Big brother, I heard you met the legendary god wolf."
Cain turned, his gaze falling upon his younger brother who had stopped just before him, their sister trailing close behind.
"Legendary?" Cainâs eyebrow arched in amusement. "When did he earn that title?"
"Oh, come on, big brother! He silenced the Three-Eyed Nation with pure wealth and single-handedly routed the Wendigo army," the blonde-haired Dragoness, Jessica, chimed in with a wide smile.
"Not only that, he actually knows Lady Morgana!"
Cain stared at his sister, a deep frown creasing his brow. "We also know Lady Morgana, and we could just as easily shut up the Three-Eyed Nation with money. Whatâs so special about that?" he scoffed.
"To you, itâs nothing," his brother countered, patting Cainâs shoulder, "but to others, itâs quite remarkable. Donât forget, the gods themselves own many of these treasures. If you truly believe spending money is insignificant, why donât you compete with this âlegendary god wolfâ?" He paused, a smirk playing on his lips. "Weâre twins, sure, and you might be ten minutes older, but Iâm definitely smarter."
With that, he sauntered past Cain, heading towards the grand venue.
"Big brotherâ" Jessica began, but Cain cut her off.
"No need, Jessica. He wants to compete again. Iâll just have to remind him who has the biggest pocket." Cainâs voice held a hint of a challenge, and he followed his twin, maintaining a deliberate distance between them.
"Canât these two go a single day without bickering?" Jessica sighed softly, then a smile touched her lips. "I am actually quite curious about this god wolf." She quickened her pace, falling in behind her siblings.
The venue, set in the very heart of the Dragon Capital, buzzed with anticipation. Countless influential races had already gathered, their eyes fixed on the sky, awaiting the arrival of the two remaining powerhouse nations: the Humans and the Elves.
BOOOM!!!
The sound reverberated through the air, drawing all eyes upward. The Dragon King, his wife, their children, and every dignitary present witnessed a starship space-jump into existence directly above them. Everyone instinctively took a step back as the sleek, green vessel slowly descended.
BAM!
The shipâs door hissed open, and a grand stairway extended downwards. All eyes were on the three figures elegantly descending: the Elven Queen, King, and their only daughter.
WHOOSH!
The starship rose silently into the air, soaring away as quickly as it had arrived.
"King Austin, Queen Victoria, and Princess Zoey! We are truly honored to have you three here!" the Dragon King, Falkor, boomed, a wide smile gracing his features.
Despite their strength, the dragons are behind the elvesâthe very founders of mercenaries.
"King Falkor, thereâs no need for such politeness; besides, we are all here for the treasures," King Austin replied, his gaze shifting to Falkorâs three children. "It seems your kids are already prepared for the competition."
"Hahaha! Compared to your daughter, who is already a Grand Master, mine arenât putting in much effort," Falkor said with a hearty laugh.
Queen Victoria raised an eyebrow, a silent thought passing through her mind: âHis youngest child is already at the peak of the Grand Master rank, while the eldest is at the Heavenly Rank, Stage One... And he calls that âslowâ.â
"So, is everyone here?" Austin inquired, sweeping his gaze across the other kings and queens.
"Yes, only the Human and Beatify royalty are left," Falkor stated, looking up at the sky once more. "Oh... theyâre here."
BOOOM!
A second, even larger starship space-jumped into view directly above them. All present moved out of its path as the silver starship, emblazoned with a gleaming star logo, slowly descended, finally settling before them.
"WOW! I heard this starship is the second biggest and strongest... Itâs so expensive!" a murmur rippled through the crowd.
"Yes, billions of galaxy crystals!" another voice exclaimed.
"Impressive."
The influential races whispered amongst themselves, while each king and queen present frowned, understanding the underlying message: bringing such a magnificent vessel was a blatant display of the Star Nationâs superior wealth and power.
BAM!
The door opened, and a silver stairway dropped to the ground. Matilda stepped out, resplendent in a red dress and a crown upon her head.
BOOOM!
"...?!"
Everyoneâs heads shot skyward again. Five warships hovered ominously above the starship, their guns visibly prepped and ready.
"Empress Matilda, these arenât necessary, are they?" Falkor asked, gesturing towards the imposing warships.
Matilda stopped before them, her expression flat.
"My people are concerned for my safety. Whether they are needed or not will be determined by how secure your nation truly is."
âSo arrogant!â Falkor inwardly hissed, forcing a smile onto his face.
"You donât have to worry about that. Nothing will happen, and furthermore, thereâs a unique protection around the building. Those without invitations canât even dream of entering."
"Hmm..." Matilda nodded, and her starship ascended into the air, the five warships following closely behind.
"Then letâs begin," she stated.
"We are still waiting for someone," Falkor countered, and Matilda turned to him, a flicker of surprise in her eyes.
"Who?" she asked.
BOOOOOOOM!!
"....?!"
Both Matilda and the entire assembly turned their heads to the sky as the very space above them tore open, and the largest starship imaginable began to emerge.
"Oh my god! Thatâs the Golden Starship! I heard itâs worth more than a trillion!" someone gasped.
"It was bought yesterday!"
"Yes! But by whom?!"
BOOOM!
"...?!"
Everyone was stunned as yet another starship, identical to Empress Matildaâs own silver vessel, emerged from the same spatial tear.
"Isnât that the silver starship Empress Matilda uses?"
"Who is this?! Coming with two starships?!"
"Are we witnessing the god of wealth?!"
BOOOM!
".....!!!"
Now, sheer flabbergasted silence descended upon the crowd as more than twenty warships and over fifty battleships poured out from the expanding cracks in space.
"Wait... Is the Dragon Nation under attack?" someone whispered, a tremor in their voice.
"They canât win... Those warships and battleships are all fully equipped with grand-class weapons," another observed, dread evident in their tone.
Jessica turned to Cain, her eyes wide. "That... that is the legendary god wolf."
Cain looked at his sister, then back at the two colossal starships that had now landed on the ground, kicking up clouds of smoke and dust.
âWho is this?â Matilda thought, a deep frown etched on her face.
âThis guy is even more arrogant than Matilda... flaunting his strength like this,â Austin mused, a grudging respect forming in his mind.
âItâs a good thing I didnât attack or try to stop them on the planet... I would have lost my child.â Both Falkor and the Xenon King had the same chilling thought.
BAM!!
The doors opened. Everyone leaned forward, eager to finally catch a glimpse of the renowned "God Wolf" they had all heard so much about.
WHOOSH!!!!
"...?!"
"What the Hell?!"
