The higher the path, the higher the demon.
Su Xiaocai immediately grabbed Xiao Wanzi, opened its inner mechanisms. Inside Xiao Wanzi, there were simulated base station signals that were usually off. Now that the file had been stolen, it couldnât be a wasted effort.
The baffled Xiao Wanzi let Su Xiaocai fiddle with it.
Opening up the top, the blue little ball inside was revealed. Its structure was very similar to blue crystals, beautiful yet mysterious.
But Su Xiaocaiâs target wasnât it.
It was the rack beside the little ball. With a flick of her finger, the simulated base station popped up, forming a small umbrella.
This process took less than half a second.
The signal emerged, and Wisdom 03 immediately took action.
Su Xiaocaiâs heart skipped a beat. Luckily, there was Wisdom 03.
Wisdom 03 was very effective, jumping out and connecting to the network that Xiao Wanziâs body covered.
The few technicians at the Military Departmentâs backend rubbed their eyes, as if a ghost appeared in their well-designed trap, but it was just a fleeting moment with no traces left.
They probably saw it wrong.
This operation was a joint action of the Ten Stars System. For those snatching the documents, as long as they couldnât predict this step, they would inevitably fall into the trap.
The trap had a locking function. No one could immediately jump out of their well-designed trap, unless they werenât human.
The Vice Admiral managing Planet 022 looked at the information sent from the Interstellar Network Information Division and saw that the target included a location within the base.
The base itself had anti-tracking measures, and the Information Department could only pinpoint a general location. The rest required Admiral Bai to find someone to investigate.
A rat had infiltrated Planet 022âs Military Department. The Vice Admiral lifted his eyelid, "Go, notify the lower ranks to search the rooms in this direction. See whose computer is on, then any file being transferred, call in a technician."
The file was large, it couldnât be completed in half an hour. As long as the rat was downloading a moment ago, they couldnât escape the techniciansâ eyes.
Su Xiaocai watched as only a small portion of the file had been intercepted, reaching fifty percent, very much anticipating the fileâs content.
Suddenly, a dense sound of footsteps echoed from outside the door.
In less than half a minute, there was knocking at the dormitory door, ordering them to open the door immediately.
Su Xiaocai looked at the data still downloading on the desktop. Had she been discovered?
To abandon or retain, Su Xiaocai pursed her lips, making a choice.
The knocking grew louder.
Sister Liang, utterly confused, walked out of the room, her short hair askew, evidently just woken from sleep. She opened the outside viewer, "Who?"
"Hello, Teacher Liang. Sorry for the intrusion, we are soldiers from the 022 Mechanical Planet. There is an order from above to inspect the dormitory. An official document has been sent to your communicator, please confirm."
So formal?
Sister Liang clicked on the message. They werenât lying; she wouldnât mistake an official document, and information from the official software was showcased here, usually clean with only some reforms and official documents issued.
No one could forge it.
She restrained her morning grumpiness and opened the door.
Outside stood two tall soldiers and a man with an instrument walked in, "Are you the only person in your dormitory?"
Sister Liang shook her head, turned around and asked, where was Su Xiaocai? With such commotion, she had no reason not to come out.
"Wait a moment, Iâll knock on her door."
"No need, weâll search directly."
The two soldiers were still courteous, refraining from rummaging around. The man with the instrument used it to measure the network reaction here.
He nodded, the network traffic was moving quickly.
They walked to Su Xiaocaiâs door, "Knocked on the door twice, there was no response inside."
One soldier said, "Break the door!"
"Wait," Sister Liang stopped them, "No need to be so rough, kids live here."
Her hand pressed the open door button; the door wasnât locked at all and just opened like that.
The two soldiers fell silent: With you doing that, it made us look silly.
Sister Liang smiled without a word; soldiers are just too straightforward.
They went inside, took a look around, and indeed the computer was on, but it was uploading an edited video.
The technician opened the computer, checked for download traces, and there were indeed. However, all were related to technical academic reports from the Agricultural Research Institute.
"Where is she?" they asked Sister Liang.
Standing outside the bedroom, Sister Liang was a bit impatient, "Iâm just a teacher here to give a lecture, not the dorm leader. I donât know where she went."
The soldier saluted, "Apologies, we have a mission and canât delay. Could you please make a phone call? It wonât take much time."
Sister Liang sighed and reluctantly called Su Xiaocaiâs phone.
Just as the call connected, Su Xiaocai opened the kitchen door and poked her head out.
She wore pajamas, donned headphones, and was clad in a rabbit apron, "Teacher Liang, are you looking for me?"
Everyoneâs gaze focused on the spatula in her hand, Sister Liang: "What are you doing in the kitchen?"
