As soon as Lin Xi got in the car, Bai Bing stepped on the gas, and the car zoomed forward.
"My brother recently started dating a girl. I heard her family is quite poor," Bai Bing said while driving. "I donât mind that, but she definitely has to be kind-hearted."
"So, you want to go check it out?" Lin Xi asked.
"Yes, coincidentally, theyâve been invited to play golf by Chen Nan today. I want to see what kind of person she is." Bai Bing glanced slightly at Lin Xi and continued, "But if I go alone, Chen Nan will definitely pester me, so youâll pretend to be my boyfriend."
"And whatâs in it for me? Iâm not doing it for nothing." Lin Xi had to clarify first, unlike last time when things werenât clear, and Bai Bing refused to acknowledge it.

"Xiaobing, wanted to play golf? Why didnât you tell me in advance? I could have picked you up."
Obviously, the staff had informed Chen Nan.
"Iâll come if I want to, I donât need to bother you," Bai Bing said coldly, not giving Chen Nan a friendly look.
"Sis, Brother Nan meant well, how can you talk like that?" Bai Xingye was unhappy on the side, thinking his sister wasnât giving Chen Nan face.
"What? Do I need you to teach me how to do things?" Bai Bing glared at Bai Xingye and retorted.
Bai Xingye wasnât afraid of anyone in the Bai family except his sister, "No, no, I just thought... thought..."
"Enough, is this your girlfriend?" Bai Bing interrupted Bai Xingye, pointing to a scantily clad girl beside him.
"Ah, sis, you found out?" Bai Xingye was startled.
"Otherwise, how long did you plan to keep it from me?" Bai Bing was somewhat angry. Her brother had never experienced much since childhood, having a very simple mind. What if he got deceived emotionally?

"And I know Xiaoyao as well. Sheâs very kind and has a good personality. Sheâs been working and studying diligently at school."
"Although her family is quite poor, sheâs genuinely good to Xingye."
Bai Xingye looked at Chen Nan with gratitude.
Bai Bing didnât accept Chen Nanâs words at face value but carefully observed this girl called Xiaoyao. She noticed that not only was she scantily dressed, but also wearing heavy makeup. While her demeanor didnât reveal much, her stance seemed awkward. Is this what a good girl looks like nowadays?
Intending to have a few words to learn more about her, Bai Bing didnât want her brother to date someone only interested in his status and money, but at this point, the seemingly invisible Lin Xi spoke up, "You two, I have a few questions to ask."
"No way, who are you? What right do you have?" Bai Xingye immediately retorted. He didnât have much of a favorable impression of Lin Xi, especially after he confronted Chen Nan the day before.
Lin Xi looked at Bai Xingye seriously, not getting angry, and replied earnestly, "What if Iâm your brother-in-law?"
As soon as the words were out, the atmosphere instantly froze, and even quite a few of Chen Nanâs cronies secretly glanced at him, as they had often heard him say Bai Bing was his fiancĂ©e.
This was a slap in the face!
Bai Xingye was stunned at first, then got angry, "Just you? With your shabby look, my sister would fall for you?"
"Besides, what do you have thatâs worth my sisterâs attention? My sister isnât blind."
"Kid, you can eat more, but donât spout nonsense. Some consequences you wonât be able to bear." Chen Nanâs previously calm demeanor shifted to a grim one, warning Lin Xi.
When Lin Xi came with Bai Bing, he already felt embarrassed. In his and othersâ eyes, Bai Bing was already his woman.
Except for Chen Nan, Bai Bing should maintain a certain distance from any man.
"Thatâs right, Miss Bai is our Brother Nanâs fiancĂ©e!"
