Hidden Land.
Reiger and Liz had been searching for this place for a long time.
In order to find this place, or rather to obtain information related to it, they even crossed the entire Kingdom of Ginas to reach the neutral city of Xinye within the Neutral Zone.
In the end, their journey was in vain, and they didnāt get any information about the Hidden Land.
Now, the people of this place have finally appeared, leaving both of them with mixed feelings.
Especially Liz, whose expression was extremely complicated.
"Speak."
Reiger patted Lizās head, silently comforting her, then looked at Ivy and asked calmly.
"What kind of place is it?"
This question did not elicit a response from Ivy.
She first looked at Reiger with some surprise, seemingly not expecting him to ask such a question, knowing the existence of the "Hidden Land," then she began to worry and remained silent.
Clearly, Ivy had acknowledged her affiliation because she assumed Reiger knew what the Hidden Land was.
But now, with Reiger showing his lack of understanding, Ivy had to consider whether disclosing information about the Hidden Land would lead to terrifying consequences.
In short, Ivy did not want to betray her homeland.
Therefore, she chose not to answer Reigerās question and remained silent.
In response, Reiger remained unfazed and said calmly.
"The fact that Iām asking you directly already shows Iām giving you respect. Donāt force me to use magic to search through your memories."
Upon hearing these words, Ivyās expression changed slightly.
"Could you please tell me?"
At this moment, Liz couldnāt help but step forward.
"What exactly is the Hidden Land?" Liz pleaded, "This matter is very important to me, please tell me."
"Princess..."
Ivyās expression changed once again.
She could ignore Reigerās threat, but she couldnāt ignore Lizās request.
As a result, Ivy hurriedly said, "Your Highness, we are not your enemies. On the contrary, we are your most loyal followers. That arrogant person who forced you into a servant contract is the real enemy, please donāt be deceived by him!"
However, in the face of Ivyās words, Liz immediately shifted from pleading to serious.
"The master didnāt force me, nor did he deceive me." Liz said, "I became the masterās attendant voluntarily."
But these words did not move Ivy.
"Itās a deception, Your Highness!" Ivy said loudly, "You are the last descendant of Reinnaier, and no one in this world is qualified to make you their attendant, nor is anyone qualified for you to call them master!"
"The greatest bloodline flows through you!"
"A figure like you should never become someoneās attendant, Your Highness!"
Ivyās speech was undoubtedly powerful.
Seeing her excited expression, it was clear she genuinely believed it, as if treating Reinnaierās bloodline as her faith, venerating it like a deity.
No wonder, Reinnaier was a hero, the king who once led all of humanity against demons, liberating them from the role of prey.
This group of heroes, in the eyes of humans from the ancient magic civilization, must have been akin to deities of faith.
As someone who inherited the ancient magic civilization, Ivy clearly inherited this old will and recognition.
Unfortunately...
"No matter how much you praise Reinnaier, it doesnāt change the fact that it has perished."
Reiger casually interjected.
"The ancient magic civilization it led has perished, and its bloodline is nearly extinct on this continent, with few even aware of its existence. Itās not as great as you imagine."
"What did you say...?!"
Reigerās words caused Ivy to lose her composure instantly, her glaring eyes filled with killing intent.
Thatās the gaze of a fanatic whose faith has been insulted.
But she was targeting the wrong person.
Facing Ivyās gaze, Reiger displayed a half-smile, yet his eyes were as cold as ice, causing Ivy to tremble with a sense of dread.
Intuition told her, if she continued her insolence, this man in front of her wouldnāt show any mercy.
At that point, probing memories might be the least of her concerns; falling into a fate worse than death would be the true hell.
This was the monster who, with ease, dragged her out of the Sea of Death and brought her back to life.
Although she didnāt know how Reiger did it, resurrecting the dead was unheard of even in ancient magic civilization. But the facts were right before her, and no matter how unwilling Ivy was to believe, she had to admit one thing.
In front of Reiger, she was nothing.
"Iāll ask you once more." Reiger asked in a monotonous tone, "What kind of place is the Hidden Land?"
"What is its connection with the ancient magic civilization?"
"And what does it have to do with Liz?"
"Think carefully before you answer."
This was a final ultimatum, showing Ivy that Reiger also had his temper.
There was no choice. Although he didnāt mind severing the attendant relationship with Liz, it surely wasnāt something to be done under othersā coercion, nor did he need any third partyās interference.
