<Implementation of module: Labyrinth of a 1001 Nights, has been complete. Boo-yah!>
=That does appear to be the case...huh...=
Logosās expression had noticably relaxed once the "map module" was fully integrated, which was an opposite reaction to Pathosās increasing excitement.
Logos relaxed because the intruders were being handled, while Pathos got excited because the intruders were about to their playthings.
<I know weāre not allowed to kill them, but our lord didnāt say shit about making them shit themselves!>
=Bruh, no.=
Displayed across three different screens made of aether, three very different groups of warriors were navigating their section of the newly minted labyrinth.
Of course, to the people navigating the labyrinth, they thought that this Labyrinth was some ancient wandering ruin that they had somehow activated though completely unknown means.
Needless to say, if these warriors were expecting a maze of monsters and treasures, than that was exactly what they were getting.
Of course, before Logos and Pathos could do anything, they needed some star performers.
<Wait a minute...did you remember to reroute the kaijin so that they->
*Fwomp, fwomp, fwomp!*
[And weāre back.]
[Oh, you guys werenāt kidding about-wait a fucking minute, those three are here? What the fuck?!]
[I feel like I shouldnāt be surprised that the libraryās control room looks like this...then again, for all I know, this place could actual be a vortex of swirling shadows...]
[So this is the Olstenna guy who made a mess of the Clanās arena? Of course he looks this brutish.]
[I donāt know...heās kind of my type.]
=Manifest inside of the control room instead of in the labyrinth? Of course I did,= Logos said with pride. =I also made sure to provide Frosttusk and our lord an easy route back to us. All they gotta do is just walk forward.=
<Excellent.>
Nepherage, Razorstella, Spring Brawler, Hurricroak, Screamira, Archanidame and Lacerage had all been summoned one after the other due to the extraordinary circumstances the library had found itself this time around.
The only kaijin not present were Frosttusk since he was already accompanying Zhen Liu; and Kit and Amazona since the two of them were on another continent entirely and weāre technically considered separate from the Library and Zhen Liu.
Either way, five and a half kaijin were more than enough for Logos and Pathos to do their thing, especially when they threw the zakos into the mix...and maybe some other stuff.
<=Alright, everyone. We have three groups of intruders inside of the Library of Nowhere as we speak, none of which we can actually kill.=>
[Really? Not even that trio of idiot thieves?,] Hurricroak asked. [The maestro was cool with that?]
=The trio of idiot thieves, as you say, are of interest to us. The fact that their leader was able to chew through our spatial array makes him...valuable. For research purposes, at least.=
[Ah.]
<Back to the topic at hand, you guys need to get into that Labyrinth and make their lives a living hell! Or help them improve as warriors and people, same thing really.>
[I donāt think thatās right...]
=Pathos and I will be here to provide over watch as it were, meanwhile, you guys will be teleported in and out randomly alongside contingents of zakos and other...have we settled on a name for what we call the things we make to defend the library?=
<I donāt think so?>
=Figure it out later, either way, yāall are going to go down there and make yourselves terrifying.=
[Got it.]
[Wait, Iām not too worried about that Olstenna guy or that trio knowing what we look like, but what about the directorās cousins? Arenāt we suppose to be "puppets" to them?,] Razorstella pointed out.
<=Donāt worry about that, we got that covered too.=>
[Right...]
<=Now then, steel yourselves and get ready to...=>
[Wait! I have a question before we go,] Nepherage uncharacteristically interrupted. [You said, all of the kaijin were connected to our lord was summoned to the control room, right?]
<=Yes...=>
[Then...whereās Paralust?]
[I concur,] Screamira added. [Whereās my progenitor?]
<=Uh...=>
Prompted by Nepherage and Screamiraās query, Logos quickly summoned up a display that was focused on the holding cell containing the unknown entity known as Paralust.
There was just one problem: Paralust wasnāt in her cage anymore.
<=Uh oh...=>
Evidently, when Pathos implemented the Labyrinth of a Thousand and One Nights, they forgot to exclude the holding cells as part of the layout. When the library underwent itās massive restructuring for the sake of fucking with its intruders, it had accidentally pulled away resources from the holding cells.
Meaning, that aside from a bunch of mortals running amuck within the library, there was also a [Lust] empowered parasitic being that now had free reign and multiple options for hosts.
In other words, things were about to get messy...unless...
=So...thereās an additional assignment.=
<And itās gonna require teams lead by Spring Brawler and Screamira.>
[Huh?]
[Why us?]
<=Well...=>
...
[Out of my cage, out of my mind, out on the prowl, out there looking for somebody to bend over~] Paralust sang as she walked through the labyrinthās halls.
As she walked, her strange aura began to make the design on the walls a bit less enchanting and a touch more...erotic, replacing the geometric patterns that were pleasing to the eyes, with images that enflamed oneās loins instead.
[I hope daddy dearest doesnāt mind me playing with our intruders...then again, I could just go and ask him myself. Of course, Iām going to need some help~]
As Paralust continued to walk down the halls of the Labyrinth, she stretched out one of her hands in a sensual manner and produced several marbles made of various materials one after the other onto the floor. Once she was far enough away from the marbles, they all transformed, one after the other, into a variety of zakos that all seemed to be focused on particular theme.
Lust.
[Go out there and have some fun, my little darlings. Make sure to leave them all...breathless.]
*Various moaning sounds of approval.*
With their orders given, the empowered zakos proceeded to peel off in random directions.
[Run my rabbits, run. Find me someone juicy...or at least, someone corruptible...]
________________________________________
[Hmmm. A bit much for my tastes, but it works,] Frosttusk rumbled as he readjusted the way he carried Zhen Liu on his back.
Mere seconds ago, he and Zhen Liu were about to infuse directly in front of the latterās family.
All of their efforts to keep themselves and their jarlās abilities secret wouldāve been gone in a single instant, just because of a weird glitch in the spatial array.
Luckily for their asses, Logos and Pathos worked fast enough to figure out a means to keep them busy and the kaijin out of sight.
Hopefully whatever measures this moment entailed, would last long enough for Zhen Liu to regain consciousness.
For the time being though, Frosttusk was more than happy to give their lord a piggyback ride.
[Hmmm. Feels nostalgic,] Frosttusk thought to himself as he felt Zhen Liu rest upon his back. The breif shadow of a memory or a dream flashed though Frosttuskās mind as he held Zhen Liu.
But before Frosttusk could determine which it was, the walls encapsulating him and his charge suddenly began to change.
More specifically, the walls opened in such a manner that Frosttusk could just walk straight forward for several dozen feet, give or take.
[I guess thatās how Logos and Pathos wants us to get back to them...alright.]
After double checking that Zhen Liu was securely fastened to his back, Frosttusk began to walk forward at a brisk pace.
He wouldāve started running, but he didnāt want to disturb his jarlās slumber or aggravate his condition.
[Donāt worry minn jarl. By the time you wake up, youāll be safe and sound in a bed in the control room. Hopefully, Logos and Pathos are already formulating a way to fix you...or at least extract the Violet Berserker Spring Flame. Oh! Maybe I can absorb so I wonāt have to move so slow anymore! Then Iād able to contribute more to the conversations, wouldnāt that be something?]
Frosttusk knew that Zhen Liu was unconscious, he could feel it through his literal soul connection with the young man, so talking was a bit...pointless, but he couldnāt help but to do so at this moment.
After all, itās a rather rare occurrence for him to be able to talk, move and think at a pace faster than a snailās, so he might as well make the most of it while he could.
Besides, there were also things that could never be said to someone when conscious.
[Hey, minn jarl? I know you canāt hear me, but...thanks for giving me another go around the bend. I promise to be loyal to you till the day I disappear, or die, or whatever happens to us kaijin when we kick the bucket, but... thereās something else I need to do while Iām back like this. I need to fix a mistake I made when I was human, and I hope that one that opportunity raises, you understand why Iāll have to go. Hopefully, Iāll be able to make it back too...I donāt want to leave someone else behind again...]
As the mammoth kaijin continued to vent, the young man on his back stirred ever so slightly.
Whether or not this movement was a sign he heard and understood was...to be determined later. Besides, there were more pressing matters to deal with anyways.
[Hmmm. I hope the others donāt give the intruders too much trouble. To bad I canāt freeze them all...]
