[Please donât read it before Part 1. I made a mistake so sorry!]
Honestly, it wasnât that hard to escape from Morgana. The moment Nightfire felt her illusion magic was interrupted, she knew someone powerful was getting in. With the data Nightfire got, she used her illusion to keep Morgana busy while she ran for her life.
Honestly, she didnât think her illusion would work that well. She just wanted to buy enough time to escape, and it worked better than she thought it would. Still, she needed to run and escape from this place immediately.
"Fuck you, asshole!!" Nightfire shoutedânot about herself or anyone here, but rather the one who put her in this fucking place.
Her face was drenched in horror as she ran towards the end of the path, where she saw the guards heavily lined up.
"Fuck, fuck, everythingâs fucked up!" Nightfire shouted, the panic wild in her voice, her boots hitting the stones with desperate rhythm.
She didnât stop running for a heartbeat; she would rather face these guards than the wicked monster that was about to come and finish her off from behind!
âThatâs why I told you not to cause a ruckus!! You brought this on yourself!!â Asharaâs voice echoed in Nightfireâs mind.
"Not now!!" Nightfire barked back inside her mind, her lips curling with frustration. "You think I wanted this? You think I could have walked out? If youâve got a better plan, say it now, Ashara, or shut up!"
She didnât want to deal with Asharaâs words. After all, she and herself knew this was their only option, other than not using her seduction powers, as Aether didnât want it.
What do you expect from her?
She wasnât like Celestia, who could move through the shadows and sing a song to make everyone sleep.
Nightfire was just... a normal half-succubus who didnât even have strong powers other than seduction!!
Even the guards she hypnotised, it was barely with what she called a nightmare skill, which was nothing but showing a nightmare that people hateânothing else!
"Come on, just let it work... let it work," she whispered as she focused, feeling the shimmer of illusion magic swirl from her fingertips.
She was utterly useless!!
The guards straightened up with serious faces as they held their weapons tightly and blocked the path. "Everyone, get ready..." the leader barked, his eyes burning with determination as he spotted Nightfire running towards them without hesitation,
"YOU, STOP THEREâ"
Before he could finish, suddenly, his vision saw... two Nightfires? Like they were splitting up? His brain couldnât process the sightâher body seemed to flicker, splitting in a shimmer of black mist.
He frowned, but two turned to four, and four turned to eight...
"What the fuck!!" he shouted. Not only him, but everyone was shocked at the sheer number of Nightfires running towards them and leaping!!
"Thereâs too manyâjust too many!" another one yelled, eyes wide, as more and more Nightfires appeared from the swirling illusion.
"O-OI! StopâARHH!!" one of them cried out as an illusory Nightfire pounced, passing through him like smoke.
"N-NO! Arrhh!!" another screamed.
"KILL EVERYONE!!" The leader barked, "Donât let any of them throughâno matter what!"
"ARRHH!!"
The guards and many Nightfires fought together as the numbers kept increasing faster than anyone thought possible. Some guards slashed at phantoms, their blades passing through empty air, while others simply dropped their weapons and tried to run, only to be blocked by another copy, another nightmare conjured from Nightfireâs desperate magic.
"Hahah~ Take that, bastards~"
"Fuck you all~"
"This is what you get for messing with me~"
The Nightfires shouted in unison, voices echoing off the stone walls, their mocking laughter and taunts rolling through the chaos.
Each illusion leapt and swirled with uncanny, boots skidding and capes flaring, sending guards stumbling backwards, their weapons clattering on the ground.
Steel clanged against stone as one guard whirled and slashed wildly at two illusions, who only giggled and split apart again, multiplying with every swing. One Nightfire somersaulted over a spear, sticking out her tongue and winking as she landed behind the stunned man.
"Everyone, itâs just an illusionâArrhh!!" a guard tried to warn, but blood spurted furiously as one Nightfire whispered into a guardâs ear, "Yes, Iâm an illusion... but this sword isnât, right?" Her hand flashed, grabbing his weapon with a deft twist, then thrusting it straight into his throat.
The transporters and the outer dome guards stood frozen, eyes wide, their minds reeling at the impossible hordeâdozens of Nightfires running right at them.
"W-What the fuck? What the FUCK!!"
Soon, the entire dome was infestedâabsolutely swarming with Nightfires, crawling up walls, leaping across the ceiling, bursting from shadows, even rolling between the legs. Their laughter and taunts mixed with the guardsâ screams, the echo like a thousand voices.
"Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!"
"Theyâre everywhere!"
"Ahhhâget off me, you freak!"
Meanwhile, in the madness, a single figure moved differentlyâa shadow crawling low to the ground. The real Nightfire crept on all fours, her fingers curled and knees pressed to the cold floor. She darted beneath flailing legs, slithered between two fighting men, and ducked behind a toppled crate, her breath sharp and quick.
Her eyes flicked up, watching the illusions dance above her, drawing all eyes and blades. Sweat dripped down her cheek as she edged along the wall.
She never thought she could pull off so many illusions at once.
"How... how am I doing this?" she whispered, almost laughing in disbelief. Every corner, every glance, another Nightfire. Even she couldnât tell which was real. For a moment, she felt unstoppableâlike something out of a magic.
âMaybe your talent increased over this, too?â Ashara teased in her mind, voice proud but wary.
Who cared? As long as Nightfire escaped... that was everything.
Just thenâ
"Fuck you, bitch!!" A guard barreled in front of her, sword raised, face twisted with panic. The blade swung down, but one of the illusions dove in, tackling him sideways, both rolling across the floor.
The illusions werenât just confusion... they were an army, making paths, slamming into guards, drawing swords away from the real one.
Nightfire slipped through, crawling, rolling, even sliding on her stomach as chaos erupted overhead.
When she finally reached the exit of the dome, Nightfire rose up slowly, brushing dust from her scraped hands and aching knees. She glanced back one last time, eyes widening at the utter messâillusions still rampaging, guards screaming, swords slashing in vain.
"Get back here!"
"Sheâs over thereâNO, over THERE!"
"Arrhh!!"
She let out a shaky sigh, chest rising, lips curling into a weak but wild grin.
"Fuck, thatâs... exciting," she murmured, a crazy thrill twisting in her stomach. It felt dangerous, impossible, even a little fun... escaping hell with nothing but illusion and wit.
Not sure why she felt this way, but she couldnât help the rush. Sheâd managed to sneak past an army, just like the heroes in stories.
âYou do get caught, right?â Asharaâs voice poked at her, half-amused, half-concerned.
Ignoring Ashara, Nightfire smiled to herself... she really did escape!
She turned, ready to boltâ
Thuck!
"Ouch!" Nightfire yelped, stumbling as her head hit something hard yet soft and unmovable. She clutched her forehead and looked up.
Her face went pale...
"Oh dear~ You should look around more carefully next time, okay~?" A blurry figure stood blocking her way, voice syrupy sweet.
Nightfire gulped, her throat so dry it felt like glass scraping inside her neck.
Her eyes shook violently, pupils shrinking with raw terror as she stared up at the shadowy figure.
Tears brimmed, stinging her vision, threatening to fall even though she tried to keep them back.
Inside, she was already sobbing, âT-This is it... Iâm dead as fuck. This is how it ends...â She clenched her fists, every muscle trembling as she forced herself not to scream, trying her best to stay calm.
The blurry figure stepped closer, "Are you alright? You seem a little pale now," the woman asked sweetly. From the misty blur, two crimson eyes shone brightly, "I think I have seen you before... Havenât I?" she mused.
Nightfireâs heart thundered against her chest, cold sweat running down her back. Her whole face quivered. She tried to smile, but her lips trembled.
"N-No... I-I havenât met you before, Your Majesty! Not even in Nyxâs house. IâI am s-sorry..." she blurted out. She bowed her head quickly, desperately hoping to escape notice.
She shuffled to the side, practically tripping over her own feet, trying to slip away before things got worse.
But the blurry womanâs eyes followed her and caught her hand,
"Yeah, come to think of it... arenât you Nyxâs servaâ"
"BIG SISTER!! KILL THAT BITCH!! SHE SAW EVERYTHING!!!" Morganaâs voice thundered out of the dome, echoing furiously.
Nightfireâs face went ghost-white. Her mouth opened, "H-hah... I am soâ" she tried to plead, voice cracking, legs already moving, mind screaming at her to run, to flee, to get away from these monstersâ
BOOOMMM!!!
A brutal surge of magic slammed into her.
Nightfireâs body flew through the air, arms flailing, hair whipping around her face. She smashed into a pile of crates in the blocks, the impact splintering wood with a thunderous crack. She tumbled over the ground, rolling helplessly.
Blood spattered the floor as she bounced.
She finally came to a halt, body sprawled in a heap, bruised and broken, dust and debris raining down.
Inside the dome, Morgana stood tall, her hand raised, face twisted in unbridled fury.
With a savage flick, she dispelled every illusion in the domeâNightfireâs doubles disappeared instantly, leaving only shattered bodies and stunned, wounded guards.
Guards gasped, some coughing, some clutching wounds, others staring in shock at the carnage.
Several lay dead, slain by their own comrades in the chaos.
Morgana stormed out, every step heavy, her eyes burning with murderous intent. The blurry figure followed, her pace slow and cold, gaze moving over the devastation with a chilling calm. They approached Nightfire, who still hadnât moved, her body twisted and streaked with blood, hair matted to her cheek.
The blurry woman stopped just above Nightfire, "What happened?" she asked, her voice flat as ice, her eyes flicking to Morgana for an answer.
Morgana informed what happened before she came and after she came.
"Huh. Didnât think she had this much guts," The blurry woman said, her tone almost impressed.
"Yeah. Her magic was nearly as strong as mine," Morgana spat, glaring down at Nightfire. "If she gets out of here, if she survives... sheâll be a threat."
After a moment, Nightfire coughed, her body shuddering in pain. Her hand went to her stomach, where a jagged dent marked her flesh, purple and red. Blood bubbled from her lips as she tried to sit up.
"T-Thatâs hurâCOUGH!!" she choked, spraying blood across her chin, throat burning. She tried to draw breath, but every inhale rattled painfully in her chest. Her vision blurred, everything spinning.
The blurry woman watched her, humming quietly, cold and curious. "She took the attack... hmm. Didnât think she could survive that. Maybe sheâs tougher than she looks," she muttered, flexing her fingers, feeling the magic that should have killed Nightfire outright.
The fact that she was alive at all was astonishing!
"Thatâs good, then... maybe we should torture her for information," Morgana said, voice empty, emotionless. Nightfireâs lips trembled, more blood spilling as she coughed. "F-Fuck..." she whimpered.
The blurry figure shrugged, "Nah. Letâs just kill her. I donât want to waste time with this mess." She raised her hand, fingers glowing with lethal intent, ready to erase Nightfire from existence.
Nightfire trembled, body wracked with agony, fear twisting inside her, heart beating so fast she could hear it pounding in her ears. But then.... something shifted in her eyes.
Even as pain threatened to pull her under, she forced a shaky smile. Her eyes, blurred with tears and blood, locked on the clouds above.
The blurry woman paused, her red eyes widening with sudden instinct. In a heartbeat, she grabbed Morgana and hurled them both backwards, leaping away with a burst of windâ
BBBBOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!
A massive column of blinding purple flames exploded down from the sky, crashing into the ground where Nightfire lay.
"Sorry for my humble interruption, ladies,"
A voice rang out... cold as snow, and murderous!
