Discussing With A Monstrosia Afficionado

“Zixu! I wasn’t expecting to find you fishing… Not spending time with the wives?”

“Elideue Niediao. I likewise was not expecting to run into anyone here. As for the wives… Let’s just say that they already spent a lot of time with me”

The word chosen to replace ‘ancestor’ did not roll off the tongue very well, but it was the chosen term to refer to a male ancestor now.

Niediao readjusted his wooden mask.

“I had almost forgotten about those new terms… Introducing new jargon to me at my age is a work of evil, I am telling you… I guess I should be calling you Illite, then? It just doesn’t sound right. This will require some time to get used to”

“Their new terms just sound like names”

The ancestor shook his head, lifting the fishing rod he had been resting against his shoulder.

“I was planning on fishing somewhere else, but since I spotted you, I figured that I would come by to discuss. We haven’t had much time to get to know one another just yet. You’ve already spent some time with Lui and Wenxiong, right? What about Baiju?”

“Elideua Baiju has yet to call upon me”

“Really? She’s showing quite a lot of restraint. She’s usually all over the young men of the clan… Honestly, I feel like this is a bad sign for you. I do hope that you have a lot of stamina. I spent a night with her once–And let me tell you, that woman could put on horns and claim that she is a succubus. She drained me so hard, I couldn’t get it up in literal months”

“Did you have a good time, though?”

“It was one of the greatest, most memorable moments of my life. Wenxiong talks a lot of shit because he never got around to lying with his Alrinir. Honestly, him being an expert in Biesta, but having cold feet about some Kindredomolie when he is part of a great clan? Truly bizarre”

Edrick raised an eyebrow.

“Are you not exclusively a practitioner of Monstrosia, though?”

“I am, but you’ll get it when Baiju invites you to her residence. That woman is just magical”

The two clan members threw their lines into the river, continuing to discuss as the masked ancestor looked around for a few moments, soon speaking in a hushed tone.

“I am not just into Monstrosia, though… I have another interest when it comes to bedly matters”

“Considering where we are, it is somewhat worrying that you find it necessary to whisper about it, Elideue Niediao”

The older clan member laughed at that remark.

“Heheh… Many are very much practitioners of it, but all pretend otherwise”

The masked elder leaned in and whispered something to Anoteros, the latter not showing any reaction even as he was told something rather crazy.

“I would recommend you keep it confined to the privacy of your residence if you ever decide to delve into it, if you see what I mean… There are always masked parties, but I wouldn’t trust these too much. Being found out to take part in this is a surefire way to ruin your reputation. However, I can tell that you are the sort who can keep a secret, and would at least be interested in trying it once”

“Considering what I have gotten down to already, it frankly does not sound that crazy to me anymore. I suppose I am a bit desensitised to what the common folks consider extreme”

“You and me both, Zixu. You and I both… Anyway, let me speak to you about my ‘research’ into the impregnation of monsters by a human–Namely me”

“I don’t really have anything that allows me to bypass the natural limitations of different species when it comes to reproduction. There are certain monsters who are well known to be capable of breeding with basically anything, though”

Edrick glanced at the ancestor.

“The most famous of that group would be that particular species of goblins, right?”

“Precisely! Ah… It is a shame that they were nearly driven to extinction. Finding any is a challenge nowadays, especially when they are still hunted down so strongly at the slightest sign of their presence… My dream would be to get a bloodline from one to gain their impressive breeding ability”

Niediao chuckled beneath his mask as something took his bait in the river. The foolish creature was pulled onto shore in an instant, incapable of putting up any sort of a fight before crashing onto dry ground and losing consciousness on impact.

“It is honestly a bit upsetting. Whenever I think I got a good lead, the nest or group I hear about has already been exterminated by the time I get there! I even tried to hire mercenaries and adventurers to capture some for me, but they have consistently failed to bring me even one live specimen”

Anoteros reeled in a fish himself as well.

“That species does not have any females, does it?”

“Indeed, all of them are males without exception–At least, no exceptions that were ever documented… You are still young, Zixu. I would appreciate it if you would consider trying to bring me some of those goblins. I want to set up a breeding ground for them”

“Oh? Are you perhaps hoping that one with a bloodline that can be plundered will appear?”

“Seems like we think in similar ways, heh? That would be the best-case scenario, but even just observing them might allow me to figure out a way to create a cultivation technique based on them. That would be grandiose, and open up so many possibilities!”

“That does sound quite good…”

“Can you imagine? Pumping basically anything with your seed and getting offspring out of it? I could finally have children of my own with Idelita”

“Idelita?”

“Oh, has no one told you? Wenxiong isn’t the only one with a primal partner. My Idelita is a Dustbone Spider. She is very friendly and very fuzzy. You can’t meet her right now, though–She prefers to stay in the darkness of her room whenever I am at the clan”

“Do Dustbone Spiders dislike sunlight?”

“They prefer shaded areas, but it is mostly just a quirk of hers. She can go in the sun just fine…Can you imagine, though? Her laying her eggs, but instead of spiders, humans come out of them?”

It was quite the sight to imagine, and an image that was a bit odd to be excited about. Considering Niediao’s strong interest in Monstrosia, though, it was to be expected that such an idea would be beautiful to him.

He and Edrick continued to fish for several hours, discussing various topics. The ancestor shared many anecdotes about the other ancestors, and Edrick mentioned some of his future plans in passing.

All in all, it was a very pleasant fishing session.
