Chapter 1266 The Truth and Old Master Lawrences

Chapter 1266: Chapter 1266: The Truth and Old Master Lawrence’s Attitude Is… Chapter 1266: Chapter 1266: The Truth and Old Master Lawrence’s Attitude Is… The servant had begun by handing a cup of warm milk to Enna and then to Old Master Lawrence, becoming as if petrified, staring in this direction. Upon hearing Old Master Lawrence’s order, they promptly scurried away to fetch the sugar cube.

And wisely, they placed the sugar cube beside Enna.

Seeing that the sugar cube was placed next to her, Old Master Lawrence finally felt at ease to pick up the warm milk in front of him. He took a sip as if he were tasting tea, only to realize after he drank that it was milk, not tea!

Then he set down the cup, looking at Enna who was adding sugar for him, and said, “Baron has returned from Country S, did you know that?”

“I know.”

“He’s back, but he hasn’t sought you out immediately. Don’t you find that strange?”

Enna didn’t understand what he meant.

Old Master Lawrence furrowed his brows, seemingly unsure of how to explain these matters to her, but still he looked at Enna, who was oblivious, and said, “I’ve heard about Scarlett’s incident and I know how you handled it. I didn’t call you over today to talk about Scarlett. I want to tell you, when you were in that ‘car accident’ and went missing, Baron in Country S got wind of the news and was frantic! In his haste to return and find you, he rushed to wrap up his affairs in Country S. Ignoring the danger, he led a frontal assault into the hijacked building. While he managed to rescue the hostages, he took a bullet in the shoulder and lost consciousness.”

“By the time my people found him and got him to the hospital, when he woke up, the doctors discovered…” Old Master Lawrence paused, his voice growing more serious, “he was hypnotized.”

“Hypnotized? What does that mean? What does it mean to be hypnotized?” It was the first time Enna had heard this term.

Baron Lawrence was hypnotized?

Enna’s heart suddenly became chaotic.

Old Master Lawrence, however, appeared very calm—more precisely, he differed from Enna in that he had had enough time to digest the news, which is why he was now composed and collected. “It means that part of his memory has been temporarily sealed away using some method.”

Enna’s mouth opened slightly, her throat felt dry, and after a long moment, she asked in a low voice, “That part of the memory is… me?”

Old Master Lawrence nodded, “Yes, it’s you.”

He didn’t know who had hypnotized Baron Lawrence, let alone why someone would go to such lengths to erase the Baron’s memories concerning Enna.

His eyes narrowed, sharp and intense.

He would have people investigate these matters.

But before that, he temporarily had no way to deal with the hypnosis on Baron Lawrence. “I’ve already had the experts and medical professionals in Country S conduct a comprehensive examination. The good news is, perhaps due to insufficient time, Baron Lawrence’s hypnosis is only temporary. The bad news, however, is that despite the hypnosis being temporary, the specialists and doctors have yet to find a way to reverse it.”

Because hypnosis, while a medical field, belongs to a more obscure branch of study, with very few particularly outstanding talents in this area.

Moreover, hypnosis deals more with psychological aspects. If it were a physical injury or illness, at least you could see where the problem lies; for psychological issues, you obviously can’t just open up the head to see what’s wrong.

So, even if it’s only temporary, how to restore the memory is a significant issue.

It could resolve spontaneously, or it might require some time.

Old Master Lawrence was very straightforward, “I hope you can try to help Baron regain his memory because, for him, you might be more useful than the experts!”

Enna had thought he would ask her to leave Baron Lawrence, but to her surprise, what Old Master Lawrence proposed was completely different from what she had anticipated!
