Chapter 1945: Chapter 1955: Lord, Ms. Clark Is in Trouble
Right now she canât lose her composure; if she does, the whole company will fall apart.
If the company falls apart, it will fall into the opponentâs trap. What she needs to do now is to resolve the issues as much as possible and not let the conflict escalate further.
Moreover, her intuition tells her that person has more tricks up their sleeve.
Even though she doesnât know what that person really wants, she really canât let the conflict escalate any further!
Enna Clark took a deep breath, arranged several emergency measures, then stood up and asked, "Where are the police officers?"
"Theyâre waiting outside."
She walked out with a calm demeanor...
Indeed, there were two uniformed officers outside the office. When they saw her, they said indifferently, "Ms. Clark, right? Come with us."
"Okay." Enna Clark responded with a calm indifference, without any hint of resistance or trying to cozy up.
The two police officers were a bit surprised but said nothing more and took her away.

Over at the mansion, Baron Lawrence received the news that Enna Clark had been taken away half an hour ago.
He heard the news from Scott Harris, kicked the nearby trash can away with one foot, and glared vehemently at the man in front of him, furiously exclaiming, "Shi-t! Such a big thing happened, and you just received the news now? It seems youâve truly been living too comfortably lately; you need some training in Country T!"
Scott Harris lowered his head in guilt; this time it truly was his mistake. Such a big thing happened with Ms. Clark, and he just received the news moments ago. The Lordâs anger was justified.
"Sorry, Lord."
Baron Lawrence really wanted to sort him out, but thinking of that woman still at the police station, his feet felt like they were nailed down; he desperately wanted to fly over there immediately.
He cast a fierce glance at the guilty man and said, "Weâll talk about this later! Arrange a car for me; I need to go out!"
"Yes, Lord."
Scott Harris hadnât left yet and heard him say, "Also, call Young Master Terry and have him go to the police station with me."
"Okay, Iâll contact Young Master Terry immediately." Scott Harris also remembered Rupert Harris; with Rupert Harris there, the Lord would surely be able to get Ms. Clark out of the police station!
Baron Lawrence picked up the coat on the chair, stretched out his long legs, just about to leave, and seemed to remember something, commanding, "Donât tell Tobias Clark about this incident!"
Bobby would lose his rationality whenever it involved Enna Clark; that woman is already distressed enough right now, at least donât let her worry about Bobby!
"Yes."
But what if the young master sees it on the internet himself?
Baron Lawrence seemed to see through his thoughts and added, "Cut off all the internet lines at home. If he asks, just tell him the neighborhoodâs internet is down."
This reason is simple and straightforward enough.
But it directly solves the problem and doesnât easily arouse suspicion.
Scott Harris understood, and respectfully said, "Yes, Lord, I understand."
"Iâm leaving; keep an eye on him, donât let him find out about Enna Clarkâs incident. If he asks where Iâve gone, tell him Iâve gone to the hospital."
"Okay."
The young master probably wonât believe the Lord went to the hospital, but if the young master doesnât know Ms. Clarkâs company had an accident, he would most assume the Lord didnât take him along to visit Ms. Clark.
Scott Harris watched as the man quickly left, a hint of melancholy passing through his eyes.
Why did this have to happen now, when the Lord and Ms. Clark are just 12 days away from getting married?
If the Old Master finds out...
He dared not imagine the Old Masterâs reaction.
Hopefully, things wonât develop in the worst possible way.
