Chapter 2247: Chapter 2256: The Men of the Lawrence Family Are All Like This
Old Master Lawrence frowned slightly, not really wanting to eat.
Recently, he hasnāt had much appetite and isnāt interested in any food.
He originally wanted to refuse, but then he saw the expectant expression on Enna Clarkās face, and noticed she hadnāt even changed out of her pajamas. His lips pursed, and the words of refusal turned into, "Okay."
The Housekeeper was pleasantly surprised to hear he was willing to eat and immediately began setting the table, "As expected, itās only useful when the Young Madam persuades. Young Madam, if you have time, please come over more often to accompany the Old Lord for meals."
"Mind your own business!" Old Master Lawrence glared at him and admonished.
He wanted to say itās not because Enna Clark made it that he wanted to eat. It was just that since she worked hard to prepare it, he didnāt want to hurt her feelings.
But in the end, he didnāt say anything.
Never mind, agreeing to eat the tomato and egg noodles didnāt mean he agreed with her. It was just for Bobbyās sake, saving her some face, thatās all.
Old Master Lawrenceās expression relaxed as he walked towards the dining table.
Enna Clark busied herself bringing the plates over and said with a bright smile, "Sure, Iād be happy to come back and have meals with Grandpa anytime, as long as Grandpa and the Housekeeper donāt mind."
"And Bobby and Gigi, theyād also like to have meals with Grandpa."
Mentioning Bobby made Enna Clark remember, "Oh, Grandpa, Iād like to find an elementary school near home for Bobby. Just an ordinary one. Do you have any good recommendations?"
Bobby is also part of the Lawrence Family, part of its bloodline.
She should seek the Old Masterās opinion.
Old Master Lawrence had already heard Baron Lawrence talk about this and understood her intentions. He looked at the slightly tense Enna Clark with authority, and said, "Iāll have someone find a suitable school for him."
Did that mean he agreed with her idea?
Enna Clark breathed a sigh of relief.
She didnāt speak further and watched Old Master Lawrence dine.
Recently, Old Master Lawrenceās appetite hasnāt been particularly good. He only ate half of the tomato and egg noodles before putting down his chopsticks. Fortunately, besides the tomato and egg noodles, he was more interested in the white sugar tomato slices Enna Clark made and ate a few more of those. Enna Clark watched him elegantly wipe his mouth, put down the napkin, and instructed the doctor beside him, "Give her a check-up."
"Okay."
The personal doctor quickly said to Enna Clark, "Young Madam, please sit on the sofa."
"Okay." Enna Clark cooperatively went over.
Old Master Lawrence only found female doctors, and it was a female doctor conducting the check-up. Being all women made the examination much more convenient.
After a simple check-up, the leading female doctor put down the stethoscope and respectfully said to the sharp-eyed old man, "Old Lord, the Young Madam is very healthy, just a bit tired from not resting well these past couple of days, affecting her vitality. She should consume more donkey-hide gelatin. Thereās nothing to worry about."
Old Master Lawrence felt truly relieved after hearing the doctorās result. He narrowed his eyes and glanced lightly at the doctors, "You know what to say outside?"
His personal doctors, all bound by a Confidentiality Agreement, promptly responded, "We know nothing."
Old Master Lawrence withdrew his gaze, the oppressive feeling around them suddenly lifted.
"Show them out!"
"Yes, Old Lord."
The Housekeeper turned to the personal doctors and softly said, "Ladies, please follow me."
The personal doctors smartly followed the Housekeeper out...
Old Master Lawrence hadnāt fully recovered his energy. He glanced at the quartz clock on the wall and said to Enna Clark, "You just got off the plane, go rest in Baronās room for a while. Donāt worry about me."
