Salespeople have always been sharp, quick-witted, and observant.
She immediately moved closer and said eagerly, "Sister Nancy, could I borrow the bank statement and your membership card later to take a photo?"
Nancy asked, puzzled, "What do you need the photo for?"
"To post on my Social Media and show off my sales performance."
Dana chuckled and said, "Iâll also share it in our alumni group, so everyone can see how much Sister Nancy supports her old classmates."
This move was all about playing to her vanity, the very essence of this circle was materialism and shallowness.
Even without knowing exactly what had happened today, everyone knew that the two most beautiful women didnât get along. Even if the fairy-like sister-in-law wasnât necessarily well-liked...
...there were surely those who had issues with Deewa who would make sarcastic remarks or take the opportunity to kick her while she was down.
It could only be said that this circle was full of pettiness and passive-aggression. The last time Luis had glanced through the chat logs in her groups, he felt like his brain had started to atrophy.
"Go ahead, then."
Nancy smiled, clearly pleased.
Posting it herself would have seemed tacky, but if Dana shared it and added a few flattering words, that would be even better.
Her eagerness also proved one thing: the commission for signing up a diamond card member must be very high, especially since a single top-up of 50,000 meant sheâd made quite a bit herself.
"Husband, Iâm going to get my hair styled now."
"Go ahead. Iâll head downstairs for a haircut too."
"Sister Nancy, come with me. From now on, whenever you spend here, just give your phone number and sign. Thatâs all youâll need..."
The womenâs club was off-limits to men. Since waiting in the lounge would be boring, Luis simply returned to his car.
He had just gotten in and lit a cigarette when Teacher Blancheâs call came through, her voice timid: "Husband, is Nancy not with you right now?"
"No, she isnât. Why?"
Luis thought to himself that she sounded strangely guilty, as if she were hiding something.
"Deewa just called me, you know, the one you met at the Mercedes Store last time. Out of nowhere, she said she wanted to treat me to dinner and asked for your phone number."
Luis thought it over and explained what had just happened to Blanche. After hearing it, Blanche said bluntly, "Oh, so thatâs how it is. Looks like sheâs dead set on stealing Nancyâs man, then."
"What do you mean?"
Luis was slightly taken aback.
Blanche actually giggled and said, "Isnât it obvious? She sees you have money and wants to seduce you!"
"She and Nancy already donât get along. If she can lure you away, itâll make Nancy furious. Even if she canât, just sleeping with you and cuckolding Nancy would be deeply satisfying for her."
Luis said in a joking tone, "It canât be that serious, can it? You mean that beautiful woman is going to throw herself at me?"
"Iâm not joking. Do you think I canât see through Deewaâs little games?"
Blanche spoke very seriously, "Husband, donât underestimate the saying âHell hath no fury like a woman scorned.â Given Deewaâs extreme personality, sheâd even be willing to pay money to sleep with you if it meant seducing you."
"Thatâs a bit of an exaggeration. Isnât she materialistic?"
"Being a gold digger is one thing, but getting revenge is another. Iâm telling you, people like her will do things even if it doesnât benefit them, as long as it makes Nancy unhappy, sheâll do it 100%."
Blanche thought for a moment and added, "And you should keep this in mind: Nancy may be proud, bad with words, and not very popular, but at least she isnât scheming and is relatively naive."
"Deewa is different. Sheâs a complete scheming bitch, and I donât like her either."
"If she fails to seduce you, sheâll keep stirring up trouble. Thereâs a good chance she might even go and snitch on you."
Luis asked, puzzled, "Snitch on me???"
Blanche replied, both amused and exasperated, "my dear husband, have you forgotten sheâs your sister-in-law? Sheâs a married woman."
"Oh, right, right. If you hadnât reminded me, Iâd have forgotten Iâm a married man, too."
Luis said jokingly, "What a sin, what a sin. Carrying on an affair so brazenly... the morals of the world really are in decline."
"You... you still have the mood to joke around."
Blanche paused thoughtfully, then said, "Husband, I think we should give her the number. At least you can keep her calm. Otherwise, if she stirs up chaos in your family, it wonât be good for anyone."
"Youâre right."
What Luis was actually thinking about was the scene at his mother-in-lawâs birthday last time, when Daniel had made a fuss. Was that Deewaâs doing, too? But how did she get in touch with Daniel? Could it be that the two of them were already having an affair??
Had she been cheating on her older sister from the very beginning??
It was possible. Before the Persona tag was applied, that Daniel wasnât a good guy either.
Honestly, this green tea bitch was actually a godsend. As long as she was around, thereâd be a legitimate reason to spend money on his sister-in-law. Thinking about it, using her could actually work out quite well.
Plus, if she went and tattled to Daniel, it would be a good chance to test how effective the Persona tag really was, to see just how mentally prepared Daniel was to embrace the role of a cuckold.
But verbally, Luis kept up his playful, lecherous tone, grinning as he said, "If sheâs delivering herself to my doorstep, wouldnât it be a waste not to fuck this beauty until sheâs screaming for her mommy and daddy?"
"Hmph, I knew it. You men are all the same, no good. You big flirt."
Blanche pouted playfully, but her voice remained soft, "Sleeping with her is whatever. Deewaâs figure and looks are undeniable, I donât believe you could resist anyway."
"But sheâll definitely tell Nancy afterwards. If your sister-in-law gets angry, Iâm sure you can sweet-talk her out of it."
"After all, your relationship isnât exactly proper to begin with. The main thing is to be careful she doesnât go crazy and seek out your wife, turning your whole household upside down."
It had to be said that Blanche was both considerate and attentive. Hearing her words warmed Luisâs heart, and his tone softened, "I know. Donât worry, Iâll handle it properly."
"Oh, right. Thereâs some charity gala tonight, do you know what thatâs about?"
"Oh... Iâve heard about it. Itâs co-organized by the cityâs business association, and the main host is Tiger Real Estate Group for their tenth-anniversary charity evening."
"My groups have been buzzing about it for days. Anyone who got an invitation has been showing it off. These women never miss a chance to flaunt."
And this crowd was always well-connected. Regardless of whether the news was true or not, rumors and gossip flew everywhere, everyone loved to share a little insider info to show off their unique connections and influence.
