If it were said that this shot could fly straight out and pierce directly into the sun, Blaine would have believed it.
Whooshâ
The arrow shot forth, meeting the advancing Celestial head-on. With a deafening bang, the arrow exploded on contact. It must have been inscribed with a magic array, because it didnât actually strike its target but detonated instead. Moreover, as the Celestial staggered backward, Blaine noticed that no fewer thunderbolts were raging across its body than those unleashed by Odin himself.
Even the Celestial God Group couldnât help but tremble in the face of such terrifying, ultra-advanced magical lightning.
This explosion was the signal to begin the battle.
The first to charge forward were Odin and Phoenix. It was said that these two had teamed up before, and their strength was beyond any doubt. With the two of them working together, even if they couldnât defeat the Celestial outright, it should at least be enough to keep it from acting freely.
The Celestial had just shaken off the thundermagic array shot by the Bounty Hunter when yet another bolt of lightning came crashing in. Perhaps caught off guard, it directly grabbed its pillar-like weapon with both hands.
"Hmph..."
However, before it could swing, the prehistoric Bounty Hunter had already drawn his bow again. With a sharp motion of his hand, he fired five arrows in rapid succession.
Boom, boom, boom, boomâ
In an instant, a sea of raging flames erupted, not only blocking the Celestialâs counterattack but also covering the remaining prehistoric Avengers.
NoâStar and Iron Fist had already reached the Celestialâs feet in just a few leaps, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.
They leapt once more. After blasting two lake-sized craters into the ground beneath them, they shot straight upward, reaching the area just behind the Celestialâs knees.
The two struck simultaneously, their fists carrying the power of heaven and earth as they smashed into the Celestialâs leg.
However, just as the prehistoric Bounty Hunter had warned, how could a being of this levelâwhose strength had reached the Universe Levelâfail to anticipate such an attack?
"Be careful!"
"Roarâ!"
At the critical moment, just as Star and Iron Fist closed in, Ghost Rider seemed to sense the danger. With a furious roar, the flames around his body flared even hotter, and the massive iron chain in his hand shot forward.
The chain seemed capable of extending endlessly, wrapping tightly around the Celestialâs legs in an attempt to restrain it. Yet even Ghost Rider had underestimated the Celestialâs raw power.
With a violent lift of its leg, the Celestial not only shattered Ghost Riderâs burning iron chain but also kicked Star and Iron Fist away.
Fortunately, the two had bodies strong enough to withstand the blow. Even so, they still coughed up small mouthfuls of blood.
As the elemental flames released by the Bounty Hunter dissipated, Odin and Phoenix had already arrived directly in front of the Celestial.
Compared to that towering giant, their bodies were no larger than dragonflies. But seeing their teammates struck down, how could they possibly stand aside and do nothing?
Phoenix spread her arms wide. In an instant, the Phoenix Force surged violently from her body, sweeping straight toward the armor on the Celestialâs face, deliberately targeting the rows of eyes. The searing pain brought by the overwhelming Phoenix Force forced the Celestial to raise its hands in defense.
Yet before it could counterattack, another enormous hammer glowing with silver light came crashing down from above. Brilliant lightning roared with it, as if it were about to split the earth in two.
Seeing this, Blaine couldnât help giving Odin a thumbs-up. There was no other reasonâMjolnir had struck the trident that was still lodged in the Celestialâs helmet armor.
Originally, the trident had only been stuck on the surface, but this time, it was driven straight in.
The intense pain immediately sent the Celestial into a furious rage. The pillar-like weapon in its hands swung wildly like a fly swatter, trying to smash Phoenix and Odin out of the air.
But how could the prehistoric Bounty Hunter give it that chance? He drew his bow again, and arrows shot out like a violent storm, the firing rate soaring to an absurd level.
...
...
"Iâll be damned, this rate of fire,"
"Worthy of being single for tens of thousands of yearsâno, millions of years of hand speed..."
"Itâs like a rainstorm of pear blossoms."
Watching the arrows fly one after another, Blaine was completely dumbfounded. He himself could also perform continuous shooting, but at this scale? Even Blaine knew he couldnât do it. Compared to his own firing rate, one was a light drizzle, the other a torrential storm.
This relentless barrage of arrows also forced the Celestial into a defensive panic. Although each arrow could only cause minor damage, even ants could kill an elephant if there were too many of them. It quickly withdrew its attack, raised its weapon in front of itself, and focused entirely on blocking.
In an instant, explosions roared everywhere. Biting cold swept across thousands of miles in waves of ice, flaming meteor-like heat surged forward, and crackling arcs of lightning struck without pause. There were even unfamiliar streams of water Blaine had never seen before, along with green radiance and khaki-colored stone walls, all assaulting the Celestial at the same time.
He had to admitâit was both beautiful and brutally effective. At this very moment, Blaine even noticed that no fewer than hundreds of arrows had already pierced into the Celestialâs body. While they might not be enough to kill it, seeing the Celestial bristling like a porcupine still gave Blaine a strange sense of satisfaction.
And it wasnât just the arrows. Donât forgetâthe trident was still embedded in the Celestialâs forehead.
If the arrows were like quills covering a porcupineâs body, then the trident was more like a massive skewer stabbed straight through it.
Just as the prehistoric Bounty Hunter continued his wild output, the Celestialâs body suddenly shook violently. As if one leg had lost its balance, it abruptly dropped to one knee.
Looking down, it turned out that Star and Iron Fist had seized the opportunity to charge in once more. This time, they had learned their lesson, striking the exact same spot together. At the same time, Ghost Rider whipped his flaming chain around that same leg and yanked with all his strength.
Since they were prehistoric Avengers, there was no need to doubt their power. If the three of them couldnât bring it down, they might as well have killed themselves.
Fortunately, their performance didnât disappoint Blaine. The only thing that worried him was that although they had knocked the Celestialâs leg down, if that enormous body collapsed completely, it would be disastrous if it fell on top of them.
But they had already exhausted all their strength dealing with the Celestial. Combined with Earthâs gravity and the Celestialâs own immense mass, the fall came in an instant.
Just as the Celestial was about to crash down onto the three of them, a teleportation array suddenly appeared beneath Ghost Riderâs feet.
