The Destroyer turned its head.
Its glowing faceplate flared like a miniature sun before releasing a blinding beam of energy.
The attack struck Wolverine Hulk squarely in the face.
His thick fur vanished instantly.
The force of the blast hurled him backward like debris caught in a flood. The beam's searing heat overwhelmed even his monstrous durability. Flesh began to melt away under the relentless energy.
Two seconds later, the beam punched straight through him.
Then he exploded.
"Damn it!"
Blonsky roared and drove a vicious punch into the Destroyer's armor.
Earlier, that kind of blow had been enough to send the giant construct flying.
Now it didn't move an inch.
The Destroyer's massive left arm snapped forward.
Before Blonsky could react, it seized his leg and swung him downward with terrifying force.
Boom!
The impact shook the entire base.
The world spun around Blonsky as he crashed into the ground.
Before he could recover, the Destroyer lifted one foot and planted it squarely across his back, pinning him in place.
Then Wolverine Hulk came charging back.
Angrier than before.
Bigger than before.
Stronger than before.
His already enormous body had expanded noticeably, yet somehow he moved even faster.
The Destroyer had been preparing to finish Blonsky with another beam attack, but Wolverine Hulk's return forced it to change targets.
Inside Asgard, Loki stared through the Destroyer's senses in disbelief.
"Are Midgard's giants impossible to kill?"
He had watched Wolverine Hulk disintegrate.
Yet somehow the creature had returned completely unharmed.
Even the thick fur that had been burned away had fully regrown.
The Destroyer's beam struck Wolverine Hulk again.
The giant monster charged directly into it without even attempting to dodge.
The energy blast shoved him backward as he howled in rage.
Despite his increased strength, he still couldn't overpower the beam's destructive force.
But the distraction gave Blonsky an opening.
Bracing both arms against the ground, he suddenly pushed upward.
The Destroyer's foot slipped off his back.
Blonsky rolled aside and grabbed the Destroyer's left leg with both hands.
At the same time, he thrust upward while sweeping his own leg into the Destroyer's right ankle.
The combined force disrupted the construct's balance.
Its enormous body tilted backward.
Then the towering suit of enchanted metal crashed heavily onto the ground.
Blonsky immediately mounted it.
His fists hammered down in a relentless barrage.
Each strike carried hundreds of tons of force.
Unfortunately, appearances were deceiving.
The Destroyer resembled the version seen in the movies, but its actual durability was on an entirely different level.
Hundreds of tons meant nothing.
Even a hydraulic press capable of exerting millions of tons would struggle to damage it.
The moment it hit the ground, the Destroyer rose again.
Perfectly upright.
Effortlessly.
Compared to its own weight and strength, Blonsky felt as light as a feather.
The Destroyer's glowing face brightened.
It locked onto him.
Thenβ
Boom!
Wolverine Hulk tackled it from the side.
Ignoring the horrifying screech produced by his adamantium claws, he raked them across the armor again and again.
SKREEEEEEEEEEE!
The sound was unbearable.
A noise that felt as though it were tearing through the soul itself.
The Destroyer remained completely unaffected.
Everyone else suffered.
People throughout the battlefield clutched their ears and collapsed.
Even Blonsky dropped to one knee with a pained grimace.
Nearby, Thor stared in disbelief.
Two giant beings from Midgard were fighting the Destroyer.
And even together, they still couldn't bring it down.
Back at the command center, world leaders watched the battle unfold through live feeds.
One member of the Security Council turned toward Drex Valen.
"Director Hiss... is that some kind of advanced alien weapon?"
The concern in the room was obvious.
The only reason panic hadn't erupted was because Drex himself appeared completely calm.
"No need to worry," Drex said casually. "We still have Hulks."
He pressed a finger to his earpiece.
"Red Devil. Bring the others."
"We still have more Hulks?"
Several officials blinked in surprise.
They already knew the Administration possessed Hulk-related technology.
Most had assumed two Hulks were already an outrageous achievement.
Apparently not.
Moments later, Red Devil teleported Red Tank, General Ross, and Captain America onto the battlefield.
Dr. Banner remained behind at the base.
Red Tank transformed immediately.
His body swelled into a crimson giant.
Known as the God of Impact, Red Tank was the combatant Drex considered most capable of challenging the Destroyer directly.
As for the others?
Backup.
Useful backup, but backup nonetheless.
Thor's jaw nearly hit the ground.
What was going on with Midgard?
More giants kept appearing.
And every one of them seemed capable of transforming into another Hulk-like monster.
Just as the Destroyer prepared another beam attack to finish Blonsky, Red Tank charged in from behind.
He accelerated with astonishing speed.
Then he slammed into the Destroyer.
BOOM!
The collision launched the armored construct backward.
Its head snapped upward, sending the energy beam harmlessly into the sky.
"Fuck."
Loki cursed under his breath.
The Destroyer regained its footing.
Then he looked around.
His expression darkened.
The Destroyer was surrounded.
Every giant present possessed strength capable of slaughtering hundreds of Frost Giants.
Loki doubted even Laufey himself could defeat any one of them.
The Destroyer was powerful.
But fighting all of them simultaneously?
That was another matter entirely.
On Earth, nobody cared about honorable duels against alien superweapons.
General Ross gave a signal.
Everyone attacked together.
Ross seized one of the Destroyer's arms.
Blonsky grabbed a leg.
Captain America followed suit.
Among the Hulk variants, he possessed the greatest defensive capabilities, making him ideal for locking the construct down from behind.
Wolverine Hulk grabbed the other arm.
Meanwhile, Red Tank charged straight at it again.
The Destroyer answered with a beam blast.
The attack struck Red Tank head-on and forced him backward.
The God of Impact's legendary charge simply wasn't enough.
For the first time in a very long time, Red Tank realized he had actually been injured during a collision.
The discovery shocked him.
Then the Destroyer erupted into action.
With a violent surge of power, it threw everyone off at once.
The Hulks were hurled through the air like rag dolls.
The watching humans were stunned.
"That's insane!"
"Are aliens really this powerful?"
"Director Hiss, should we deploy nuclear weapons?"
"Nukes couldn't kill the Hulk," Drex replied. "Why would they work against advanced alien technology?"
Someone immediately countered.
"That's just because the yield wasn't high enough."
A brief pause followed.
"We still have hydrogen bombs."
The representatives of the United Nations seemed perfectly willing to carpet-bomb the entire area if necessary.
Surely nothing could survive inside a zone of total annihilation.
On the battlefield, the Destroyer adjusted its combat output once again.
The Hulks were battered from every direction.
During the fight, Loki had also identified a weakness.
Blonsky was the least powerful Hulk present.
So Loki focused on him relentlessly.
Now the Destroyer's hand wrapped around Blonsky's throat.
It lifted him effortlessly.
His feet left the ground.
And for the first time since the battle began, Blonsky found himself completely helpless.
