The strength of the True Form of Flame Demon was undeniable. Even in its incomplete state, it was powerful enough to rival a Peak Late Innate Ancient Martial Artist like Wenn Tianxiong. Omado simply 'couldn't understand' and was utterly astonished. The other two were even more stunned. Their emotions seemed to freeze as they stared at Chen Fei, their expressions a mixture of incredulity and disbelief. They were completely dumbfounded by what they had just witnessed.
Could it be that this man held some other earth-shattering trump card, one powerful enough to easily eradicate a complete True Form of Flame Demon? Otherwise, there's no way to explain what kind of power he used to obliterate it in a single blow!
As they considered this, the shock in their eyes gradually dissipated, replaced by a look of awe and complexity. They watched Chen Fei for a moment before moving closer.
"Mr. Chen, your abilities are truly astonishing! To think you could annihilate such a terrifying Flame Demon with ease. It's truly our good fortune to have met you," Omado began to flatter him. He had previously rejected Chen Fei in favor of Lorid, a decision he had thought wise. Now, however, it seemed utterly foolish. All he wanted at this moment was to make amends and repair his image.
"Truly formidable! An expert from that mysterious Ancient Country of the East is on another level! That was a Flame Demon, a creature from legend, not even in the same category as us humans!" the other two exclaimed in sincere admiration. Words couldn't describe the tumult in their hearts. It was said that a member of the Flame Demon Clan, once fully grown, could possess power at the Level of the Holy Domain.
Yet such a terrifying monster, a species from legend, had just been crushed and killed on the spot by an Easternerāa young man who looked to be less than thirty years old!
And what does that imply? If this man gets any stronger, wouldn't that be like someone below the Level of the Holy Domain striking down a complete Flame Demon?
At this realization, the other two felt an even deeper sense of shock and heartfelt respect.
No wonder he was confident enough to face the legendary monster alone. No wonder he dared to offend the Wenn Family Brothers and seemed utterly unconcerned. No wonder he dared to twist off the arm of someone like Bishop Halesāa man with sky-reaching connectionsāand beat him like a dog, completely disregarding the potential wrath of the behemoth organization behind him... It all made sense now! He wasn't just arrogant; he was genuinely powerful and truly fearless! After all, apart from those ancient monsters standing at the very pinnacle of Earth, they couldn't imagine anyone else capable of such an astonishing feat.
"Easy? It might have been a bit easier if you three weren't just watching the show from the sidelines. What do you think, Mr. Omado?" Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, replied with a cold sneer.
"S-sorry, Mr. Chen. Please forgive our foolishness. That thing was just too terrifying... it made us feel hopeless," Omado stuttered, his face a mask of panic and embarrassment. He and the other two couldn't help but shudder at the memory. In truth, if Chen Fei hadn't displayed his Divine Might and turned the tide of battle, the three of them would have likely closed their eyes and waited for death, never daring to imagine they would survive.
Chen Fei snorted coldly but didn't press the matter. Instead, his gaze returned to the dark red bead, a strange light glinting deep in his eyes. "What is this bead? Does any of you know?"
"This..." Omado and one of the others looked completely bewildered, clearly having no idea what the bead was.
Just then, however, the last man hesitated before speaking. "Could I take a look at that bead first?"
"So you have an idea?" A hint of pleasure appeared on the face of Chen Fei, Young Master Chen. He beckoned with his hand toward the bead resting in the pile of charred stone. A surge of Spiritual Energy lifted it gently into the air, causing it to float over and land in his palm. He then passed the bead to the man. "Here, take a look."
"Yes, yesā¦" The man nodded hurriedly, accepting the bead with both hands and observing it closely. After a long moment, he suddenly looked up and muttered with some hesitation, "This... this looks like the legendary Flame Demon Pearl?"
"Flame Demon Pearl?" Chen Fei was slightly taken aback by the name, a speculative glint flashing in his eyes. He seemed to connect the name to something he knew, getting a hint of its nature.
Beside him, Omado and the other man frowned in thought. Flame Demon Pearl... that name sounds familiar. It must have something to do with the Flame Demon, right?
"It's said that the Flame Demon Clan is immortal," the man who identified the bead explained. "No matter how severe their injuries, they won't die as long as their source of life remains intact. It's just like the phylactery of a lich in the legends. The source of life for the Flame Demon Clan is this Flame Demon Pearl." He shared what he knew, then couldn't help but add with a tone of speculation and awe, "If this bead truly is the legendary Flame Demon Pearl, then Mr. Chen... you've found an incredible treasure."
