Chapter 676 0649: Millennium Spirit Milk?

    Chapter 676 · 9,486 words

Chen Fei strolled alone through the castle's outer area. His journey was exceedingly calm; he encountered no one, nor did he have any accidents. Eventually, however, he arrived before a peculiar high wall.

"This wall..." Gazing at the seemingly ordinary, ancient, and mottled wall, Chen Fei's eyes slowly narrowed. He could feel some special fluctuations emanating from it. Although the fluctuations seemed very faint, he was certain they were real.

"Could this be it?" Young Master Chen murmured to himself a moment later. Then, a sharp glint flashed through his eyes.

    PFFT!

He suddenly raised his hand, and a thread of Sword Qi brimming with intense heat and sharp energy shot out from his fingertips. It spiraled violently forward, embedding itself several feet into the stone wall. A look of astonishment immediately flashed in Chen Fei's eyes. Indeed, there's more to this stone wall than meets the eye! Perhaps the secret I'm seeking, the mystery I want to uncover, is hidden within!

"Break!" Chen Fei whispered. The surging Sword Qi radiating from his fingers swirled, effortlessly carving out a round hole about three meters high.

Young Master Chen then lightly pushed with his other hand, and the stone wall collapsed with a thunderous crash, revealing a large hole. It was pitch-black inside, but strange wisps of energy seemed to drift out. Accompanied by the smoke and dust from the collapse, this energy shimmered like eerie, iridescent light in the murky air, looking incredibly strange.

"Go!" Staring at the newly formed hole, Chen Fei squinted and flicked his wrist. The Sword Qi vanished abruptly, replaced by a blazing fireball that rose from his palm and floated leisurely into the opening.

He followed the fireball cautiously, slowly entering the hole.

This was a small secret chamber, no more than a meter high and about seventeen to twenty meters in length and width, with a thick layer of dust covering the floor. But the most eye-catching feature was in the center of the chamber. An extremely rudimentary Formation lay on the ground, its layout looking crooked and skewed. The components at its key points were arranged with extreme crudeness, as if someone utterly ignorant of Formations had clumsily copied it from a drawing.

"This..." Chen Fei's brows furrowed deeply. He held his breath, stepped forward, and began to carefully examine the seemingly abandoned Formation.

Although my knowledge of Formations isn't exceptional, just identifying this one's origin shouldn't be a problem, right? After all, the inherited memories from that Cultivation World expert are no joke. When it comes to conventional Formations, I should never misidentify one!

"This... this is... a Micro Teleportation Formation!?" After a moment, his pupils suddenly shrank as if he had seen something terrifying.

A Teleportation Formation, as the name implies, is a high-level Formation involving Space Translocation. Therefore, even though this was merely a micro version, it was definitely not something an ordinary Array Master could set up. It would take at least a Great Formation Master, a grandmaster of the Formation Dao, to have the qualifications and ability to create a Micro Teleportation Formation.

And what did "Great Formation Master" imply? What kind of concept was that? Just thinking about it is enough to send a shiver down my spine. His eyes filled with disbelief. After all, a Great Formation Master was a powerful existence comparable to the legendary Primordial Core True Lords... Could it be that a Great Formation Master is hiding in this place?

In that instant, Young Master Chen felt his scalp tingle, and he struggled to remain calm.

At my current level, an existence that powerful is like a god. They could probably crush me with half a finger!

Moreover, that wasn't even the main issue. The biggest concern was this: if that person from long ago was truly a Great Formation Master on par with a Primordial Core True Lord, then what level was the demon they fought?

At the thought, a chill shot through Young Master Chen's body. In the next moment, he felt completely powerless.

"No way, right? Am I really that unlucky? How could such a colossal power exist on Earth?" Young Master Chen cried out, his face bitter and the unease in his eyes nearly uncontrollable. He couldn't help it. A demon powerful enough to defeat a Great Formation Master on par with a Primordial Core True Lord was a being of apocalyptic might. With his current strength, how could he not be terrified?

But after the unease passed, Chen Fei's trembling gaze fell back on the Micro Teleportation Formation, its Formation Patterns all crooked. He stared blankly, his eyes flickering as he muttered, "I wonder what's on the other side of this Teleportation Formation? Was it really left behind by that person?"

His muttering trailed off. Then, Young Master Chen suddenly gritted his teeth, approached the Formation, and began inspecting it carefully. A moment later, he reached a conclusion. "This Micro Teleportation Formation... it can still be used?"

It's... still operational? Upon reaching this conclusion, Young Master Chen's heart immediately began to pound, and his blood raced. His dark eyes flashed with struggle and hesitation. He knew he was facing a momentous choice. If he gambled correctly, the reward would be an immense, heaven-sent fortune!

The temptation was incomparable, enough to drive anyone insane. The legacy of a Great Formation Master comparable to a Primordial Core True Lord... for a low-level Cultivator like me, how could I possibly resist such a lure?

But what if I lose the bet? Chen Fei shivered as a chill ran through him, his eyes trembling. Clearly, if he lost, it would undoubtedly mean complete and utter ruin.

"Damn it, I'm going all in! Fortune favors the bold, and the timid starve. I refuse to believe that you're still so powerful after all these years!" The struggle and hesitation lasted only two or three seconds. Then, Young Master Chen gritted his teeth, pointed a hand toward the Formation, and stepped into its perimeter.

    HUMMM...

An unsettling hum immediately began to resonate. The dozens of grayish-white crystals on the Teleportation Formation suddenly trembled, seemingly struggling to emit a faint fluorescence.

A moment later, Young Master Chen's figure vanished from the glowing Micro Teleportation Formation.

    ...

This was a gray stone platform, about forty to fifty meters in length and width and over ten meters high. It was sealed within a dimly lit, airtight area, completely enclosed by a gray barrier of light that made it impossible to see what was outside. On one side, a passage led to a higher, smaller stone platform.

The other stone platform seemed to be constructed entirely from a strange, grayish-blue rock. Looking up from below, it was difficult to discern its full layout. Even so, he could vaguely make out what looked like a statue on it.

    WHOOSH!

Just then, with a flash of light, Young Master Chen's figure appeared on the larger, lower stone platform.

"What is this place?" He muttered cautiously, massaging his throbbing head—a side effect of the teleportation.

His gaze then locked onto the passage leading to the other platform. He realized there was nothing on the stone platform where he stood, while the other one appeared to have a statue. After a moment's hesitation, he finally stepped onto the pathway.

One step, nothing happened. Two steps, still nothing. Three, four, five steps—all were fine.

    "Phew!"

Young Master Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief, realizing the pathway was safe. He then quickly ascended to the higher, smaller stone platform. But upon reaching the top, his eyes abruptly widened.

In the very center of this platform was a square pool, two to three meters long on each side and dozens of centimeters deep. Chen Fei gasped. The pool contained a very thin layer of milky-white liquid that gave off an intoxicatingly pleasant fragrance, and his eyes immediately fixated on it.

"No, could it be? Is this... Millennium Spiritual Milk?" Young Master Chen nearly bit his tongue. He was, of course, well aware of what those words signified.

Millennium Spiritual Milk, it was said, could only be formed by Spirit Vein Stalactites deep within the earth. A single Spirit Vein Stalactite might only produce one drop over several years. Yet, its effect was rumored to be so powerful that a small sip could instantly restore all the Spiritual Energy of an expert at the Primordial Core True Lord level.

In the inherited memories of the Cultivation World expert, such a treasure was priceless. A single drop of Millennium Spiritual Milk was worth more than hundreds, or even thousands, of Low Grade Spirit Stones! Yet now, before Young Master Chen, lay a pool of it. Although it was only a very thin layer, if he collected it all, there would be at least a thousand drops, right?

A thousand drops of Millennium Spiritual Milk?

The mere thought sent Young Master Chen into an uncontrollable ecstasy. The emotion surged to his face, and his heartbeat accelerated wildly.

For someone at his current level, this discovery was akin to an ordinary citizen winning a super lottery jackpot worth hundreds of millions. He had never seen so much wealth in his life—not even a tenth or a hundredth of it. How could he not be thrilled? How could he not be ecstatic? If it were anyone else, they might have been so excited they'd have a heart attack.
